Animal Tiles Across the Pond from Whimsy Stamps

How about some birthday cards using the Animal Tiles – Across the Pond? I wanted to go for a sweet and simple card so I only used two of the tiles. Then for the sentiments, I pulled in the Make a Wish Clear Stamps with coordinating dies, all from Whimsy Stamps. I thought those tiles would be the star of the show, but for me, it’s the Mylar balloons that steels the show. With a little patience, it was just a matter of using a Google reference photos – after all, there a a gazillion numbered Mylar balloons out there.

Behind the Animal Tiles – Across the Pond, I used a stamp from the Doodle Frames set. Those stars and fireworks are accessory stamps from the Make a Wish Clear Stamps so it was nice to have those already handy to use. Even though this is done on a kraft card stock, I think the colors make it bright enough for a cheery birthday card. Would you agree?

Mason Atlas Jar Die from Whimsy Stamps

I was looking for something to do with the small Mason Atlas Jar Die and came up with this quick shaker cared. To start with, I was inspired by the Sprinkletz Firecrackers shaker elements and knew I could use those in the jar. So I stamped up the Atlas Jar twice and cut them out – once with the window and once without. I also stamped the key and then cut it out after I colored it.

The sentiment was created using the SMILING word from Polka Dot Pals Faces and then the BIG from the Big Hugs Word Die set. The rest of the card was straight forward with layers of paper and foam dots. This was quick and simple with minimal coloring. Happy 4th of July!

Animal Tiles Across the Pond from Whimsy Stamps

Duck, duck, goose! I wanted to create this card using the duck from the new set Animal Tiles – Across the Pond from Whimsy Stamps. I repeated it three times then colored two as ducks and the third as a goose. Then I chose two sentiments from amongst the Polka Dot Pals stamps and created this scene. This reminded me of the Ugly Duckling story as well so without actually having a swan, I thought it was still a great message to be different and uniquely you.

The rest of the card was created with stencils. I used the Sun Rays Stencil in yellow then for the water, I used a cloud stencil and three different blues. Then the final touches was to layer it on the card front and add glue on the half-circle embellishments. This was a quick card for me and I really liked how I only needed one animal stamp to use.

Animal Tiles – Pond Series from Whimsy Stamps

I’m excited to share my second card using the new Animal Tiles – Across the Pond set that was released yesterday. I predict this is going to be a hot item and I’ve already seen so many different ways to use it. Plus, I’ll spill the beans to say the second set in this series is a-dor-a-ble too! I can’t wait for that one to be released. Anyway, back to this set – I’ve used Animal Tiles – Across the Pond to create a fun slimline card.

The slimline card format will take 2 rows of tiles that are 6 tiles long but for my card I decided I was going to include some sentiments. So I used the Animal Tiles – Across the Pond to create a single row in the middle then I pulled in a bunch of sentiments from the Polka Dot Pals and other stamps to create this sentiment: Lookin’ magnificent from across the pond. See the list below for those sets. I thought this would be a perfect card to send to someone over the ocean.

Animal Tiles – Across the Pond from Whimsy Stamps

Are you ready for something new? I can’t believe it’s July already and it’s amazing that half the year has already passed. Today I want to share with you a new style of stamps that I’ve drawing and have been released at Whimsy Stamps – TILES! These are Animal Tiles – Across the Pond and are so much fun to use! For my project, I created a tiled pond with all the critters and a few extra lily pads.

To create this card, I tiled the stamps close enough that I could make a grid on my card that was 3 across and 4 down. I used each animal once and then filled in the remaining spots with lily pads and lily flowers to create a scene-vibe. The blank spaces around them was colored with various blues, greens and some purple for pond water.

Polka Dot Pals Imogen in Mason Jar from Whimsy Stamps

What can you do in an hour? Such a magical weekend and today I’m sharing with you the card I colored for the DigiMojo Facebook event using Polka Dot Pals Imogen in a Mason Jar from Whimsy Stamps. This is a digital coloring scene so everything is already merged together and you just print and color. I love how simple that process is and how quickly I can get into coloring. This specific card took me about an hour to color and you can watch the video of that on YouTube HERE.

I had colored this image a few times so I set out to color her differently. That started out with choosing different colors for her hair and clothes which then lead me to a nighttime sky. This specific Polka Dot Pal character is available in as shown as a Digital Coloring Scene HERE. But you can also pick up this gal as a clear rubber stamp set HERE to coordinate with all the other Polka Dot Pals and accessories.
For this card, you can watch the video for insights on how she was colored. You can also visit some of my other blog posts for variations how how this digital coloring scene and/or the clear stamp sets have been used. THIS ONE features no lines coloring and extra twine colored in. THIS ONE features stamping and coloring on Neenah Desert Storm paper. THIS ONE features a blue and yellow color pallet. THIS ONE features an experiment in coloring a sunset with dots. THIS ONE features extra attention to the jar reflection and details with white. Finally THIS ONE features the use of a DoveArt background.
