Girl Sitting

I’ve been wanting to try out the Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces with other stamps and so for this project I pulled out some stamps by hÄnglar and stÄnglar.  I don’t know the name of their stamp and they are rare on the internet that I wasn’t able to Google it.  It might be called “Friendship” or simply “Girl Sitting” but I have no clue.  (If you do, leave a comment and I can update the name.)

Here’s a close up of the face.  To get the face stamped, I inked up the hAnglar girl then used a cotton swab to remove ink from the eye dots.  Then I selected a Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces stamp that I thought would work best.  Some looked too large but this one fit nicely.

The sentiment I used is a Kid’s Quote by Inkadinkado.  I thought the “smile” worked to draw attention to the face.  😀  Hope you like it and thanks for dropping by today.

Animal Cracker Circus Koala

Here’s a birthday card I had fun with!  The image is Animal Cracker Circus Koala from Imaginisce and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado.  I have created a few birthday cards with images from this series and this is my last one to show.  Circus animals area always fun to color because of the little bits of color added from the clothing.

The card was created and kept flat so that I could easily mail this one.  The image was colored with the Le Plume Marvy markers which are still fun to use.  Hope you enjoy and have a fab-tabulous weekend!

Animal Cracker Circus Alligator

Before the wall was removed I had a saying above my craft room door that said “so many toys, so little time.”  It’s true!   But now I need one here that says “so many posts, so little time.”  LOL

So due to lack in time to write and without further adeu. .. Here’s a project I made with   Imaginisce Animal Cracker Circus Alligator by Inkadinkado. 😀

I’ve been wanting to color the Messy Room for a while and when I saw this Rocker Chick, I thought it would be the perfect combination!  Plus I’ve had the sentiment on the shelf just screaming to be used!  LOL  The official names of the products used from Make it Crafty are Rocker Chick (which is part of the Paper Rock Scissors Band – very humorous and a perfect band name), Girl’s Messy Bedroom and the Fancy Ribbon Sliders chipboard.  I think the quote is Inkadinkado Rockstar.

So is anyone a guitar player?  If you are, you can probably figure out the chord she’s strumming!  My fingers are all thumbs when it comes to music but that doesn’t mean I don’t try!  LOL  Now if I can only get more than my dog to sing along with me.  He he he

You’re next stop in the hop is the talented ÅSA!

Thanks for coming by and we hope you’ve enjoyed the show!!

Celeste Amberglow Egg Hunt

‘Tis the season for Easter projects and I couldn’t resist suing this image today for the new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  The challenge theme is “Happy Easter” and that always reminds me of bright neon spring colors.  So I found the closest paper I had to that and pulled colors from that.  Here’s what I came up with…

The images I used are Celeste Amberglow Egg Hunt from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  The sentiment is a Kid’s Quote from Inkadinkadoo and I thought it was a perfect Easter theme… especially with a basket full of chocolate eggs!   😀  The friend, of course, is the little chick.  I also used some chippies from Make it Crafty scattered Dew Drops for more color.

Here’s a close up of Celeste Amberglow Egg Hunt.  For the white, I’ve started to use C3 and just draw and shadow on the edges with no blending.  It’s been working out really well on some projects and I like it here too – however, I blended a little bit on the band part.  The colors of her face is a new combination too… I’ve used E000, E00, E21, E30, E31; blush R11, R12; and for shadow BV23.

Thanks for coming by the blog today!  I hope you get a chance to head over to the LMM Challenge blog and see all the other fabulous designs created by the DT – they’re awesome!  Then grab your favorite Easter stamps and come play along in the challenge this week – and bonus points if it’s a Little Miss Muffet or Pollycraft image!  😀

The Isles of Aldmer

I am here to show you two fantastic new images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  I have added a new artist to the mix … Simply Sophia and you are going to love her style!!  For this week we have six new images added to “The Isles of Aldmer” and you’ll want to be sure to check out the LMM Challenge Blog and see what everyone else has created.  😀

For my first project I used Serena Mermaid from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and went to town with the background.  I had tried this a couple times before with Cooking Tilda with Wooden Spoon and Monster Dreams.  This time I wanted to try with blues and see how that worked – and with all experiments, it looked horrible until it was finished.  LOL

Here’s a detailed shot of both the image and the background.  Someday I’ll do a little tutorial on the background but I can say I started with a little splotches of greens and yellows.  Then layered on patches of blues from light to dark until it was filled in and blended.  Then I added drops of Blender refill and areas where I blended out colors.  Finally I added more bubbles with a white gel pen.

I’d like to enter the above into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations Challenge #183 – Blue, Green & Yellow
Twisted Tuesday Challenge #19 – Predominantly Blue
Southern Girls Challenge #51 – Chippie Heaven
Art with No Boundaries Challenges – Rhythm of the Sea
Update: I was featured at Jackson’s Digital Expressions for this creation!
These new images from Simply Sophia are amazing!  The faeries, mermaids and their familiars live at “The Isles of Aldmer” and there are even more surprises in the future when we go out and visit “The Hills of Mooradale.”  You’re going to love those too but that’s for another release.  😀  Check out this next image from this release…
This project uses Warren Faerie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and he’s sitting on top of his best friend.  I wouldn’t go anywhere without him by my side… would you?  He he he.  I thought this would be a great boy card and a fun birthday card.  😀  The sentiment is a Kid’s Quote from Inkadinkado and has been one I’ve been wanting to use for a long time.
I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments Challenge #61 – Numbers Up (Bingo sentiment)
Bearly-Mine Challenge #48 – Anything with Wings

Thanks so much for coming by and I hope you enjoy the new releases and our new artist Simply Sophia!  We think it’s awesome and hope you make it over to the LMM Challenge blog to see everyone else’s creations.  Have a great day!
