Bedtime Story

The theme this week at Wags ‘n Whiskers is called “Wrap it Up!” and the challenge is to create a tag, bag or box. I created this rather large tag using Bedtime Story, which can also be used as a Christmas ornament. Nothing is better than a cozy book and a relaxing holiday evening to enjoy it!

Did you know? The Bonnie Lass o’ Fyvie is a Scottish folk song about a thwarted romance between a soldier and a girl. Like many folk songs, the authorship is unattributed and there is no strict version of the lyrics. The song is also known by a variety of other names, the most common of them being “Peggy-O”.

Hey Grandma

Check out the challenge this week at Wags ‘n Whiskers where the challenge is to create a card or project using acetate, vellum, or tissue. I made this card using Hey Grandma and gave this tyke a little tooth too.

The front part of this card is mostly made from acetate except for the edge where I tacked it down near the fold. This makes the card fun and interesting to hold. I’ll have to be careful when writing my sentiments on the inside show they don’t show through. ;D

Did you know? An afterimage is an optical illusion that refers to an image continuing to appear in one’s vision after the exposure to the original image has ceased. One of the most common afterimages is the bright glow that seems to float before one’s eyes after looking into a light source for a few seconds. The phenomenon of afterimages may be closely related to persistence of vision, which allows a rapid series of pictures to portray motion.
