Foxy

I thought I’d post something a little out of the norm for me today and searched back to my roots (aka the stash of supplies I never use!  LOL) and created this card.  What started my whole process was finding this little fox already colored up on a shelf that was out of the way.  Shame on me – this poor little fox was lonely and yelped with excitement when I found him.  😀

The images I stamped for this card is Foxy from Some Odd Girl and Daisy Rock from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Another interesting supply I used, which was also nearly forgotten, is the open book shaped die.  So with all these combined I thought it would make a perfect story telling theme.  Now, we just need to figure out what that fox is thinking…

I didn’t want to color a full background so I used the dot technique with various light blue colors.  I think this helps to distinguish the image from the background and also added a little more color to the center.  Finally, I finished up the card with layers, stitching and accessories!

Dancer

It’s the start of a three day weekend for me and I have plans to do nothing!  Yes, I know… I’m not sure how much that will happen but I’m sure going to try, again, tomorrow.  Today I’ve managed a little gardening, cleaning the house, laundry, reading and some craft time.  So much for my resolve to do nothing!  LOL

This is a quick project I’ve put together using an image I had colored before but the project it was previously attached to was accidentally destroyed and I couldn’t toss the whole thing away and decided to save the girl for another day.  So today… this is Dance from Some Odd Girl and she’s featured on a a whole new project!

The background paper is Market from My Minds Eye and the chipboard corners are from Make it Crafty.  The paper kinda says it all so I added some lace and the corners but left everything else to shine.  This was one of those fast projects that came together well and I hope you like it for today’s inspiration.  Thanks for coming by and hope ya’ll have fun plans for the weekend!

Winter Friends

This is it, my last post in pending state and now soon to be scheduled and posted.  What does that mean?  Well, I’m going to have to start crafting again!!  Well, that sounds like a good excuse – do you think my school teachers will mind?  He he he

This is another card I made using Winter Friends from Some Odd Girl which includes the polar bear, scarf and sentiment stamp.  It’s a simple card layout but I think works really well to give the impressing of a cold blistery day.  Plus the polar bear was a cinch to color – just a little bit of gray for shadows (I didn’t even bother blending it) and some pink for color.  Hope you like it and hope you have a great week too!  xXx

Winter Friends

Just a quick post here to start the weekend off and hopefully bring in a little chilly temperatures to cool down Texas for a while.  Not winter winds but I’d like to order a little cool breeze for great weekend play!  Now wouldn’t that be awesome – to order up the weather!  LOL  Anyway, I wish I was crafting but here’s another card I made from the summer months that I can still share.  I think I have about 7 more hiding in “draft” mode so I can at least keep ya’ll inspired!

The image on this is from Some Odd Girl called Winter Friends and I used the two penguins (of course you can see that) and the fun accessories that come with it to dress them up.  These cuties were quick to color up and so satisfying to finish.  Then I use my Nestabilities and assembled it with a simple layout – voila, another holiday card to use this year!  Hopefully I’ll have enough by time December comes around.  😀  How about you… getting close to reaching your goals?

Winter Friends

I’m so excited – it’s the first day of Autumn here in northern hemisphere and I’m so ready for some cool refreshing breezes come it.  Here in Texas it always feels like a second Spring and some of the best times to be outdoors after the long beating heat of the Summer.  Ahh… yes, sounds like I have some Spring Fever coming on and time to get out and weed the flower beds!!

The image I have today is from Some Odd Girl called Winter Friends and the sketch I used is from I Scrap My Way.  I wanted to go with a non-traditional color tone and selected some browns, blacks and a cool blue to offset the creams in this young cutie!  He has some friends that come in the same stamp set that I’ll feature later on.  😀

The sentiment is also part of the Winter Friends set and was the perfect size to add near the bottom.  Then I fished it off with some metallic Dew Drops on the corners and a little bit of lace.  😀  That’s about it.  I hope ya’ll have a great weekend with lots planned and thanks for dropping by my blog today.  😀

Under the Sea Mae

‘Tis the season for mermaids and summer fun… well, at least in the northern hemisphere it is!  😀  So here’s another card featuring Under the Sea Mae from Some Odd Girl which was released earlier this month.  I also used the coordinating sentiment that comes with it and created this card…”Make a Splash!”

I can’t find my brain today!!  I’m taking a summer class that is just killing my brain cells every moment and when I’m not in class I worry about the homework I *should* be doing.  LOL  But I really want to color and relax… maybe even take a little nap.  😀  So this is a card I’ve had saved up that was created a while ago and is perfect for these summer days.  I always think mermaid hair is always so fun to color because it isn’t weighed down by gravity.

The movie I’m watching right now is called “Best is Show” and is one of the funniest, most awark, satire movies I’ve seen in a while.  It might not be for everyone but it’s one I totally understand from both sides of the fence and I still adore it.  😀  I think I’ll put in “A Mighty Wind” next and call it a marathon.  LOL
