Window Foam Fronts

What are we doing this week in our house? More black-out poetry! We used a Window foam front from Queen & Co. to create a shaker card and each of us picked a panel to create our poetry. As customarily, we ripped out pages from my scrap dictionary and got to work.

When finished and the kit was assembled, I used the blank window cover from the kit and colored it to look like an old white panel window. I used E70, 71 and 74 Copic Markers. It was a fun family project. I honestly wasn’t sure how the frame would look like but it turned out better than I though. I might do it again!
My poem reads: “Informal citizens together getting along in harmony.”
Cassandra’s poem reads: “Work on a sheer fabric, such as toilet paper.”
Lydia’s poem reads: “Policy on people to deflect criticism on English.”
Amelia’s poem reads: “A diagonally diagram explains the relationship between a chart graph, a diagram worked out by lines magically.”

Thank you for everyone who reads my blog and also to those to leave comments. Your support and encouragement is inspirational and motivates my creative juices. 😀 Thank you, thank you! Cheers and have a wonderful week!

Heart Throb Kit

Here’s another card I created with the Heart Throb Kit from Queen & Company. I got the card layout and idea from Melissa Phillips from the Queen DT.  Thanks for the inspiration!  This year, I ended up create six or seven cards from the kit.  I need to get some more shaker refills so it was a good break and I put the kit away until later.

Heart Throb Kit

I’ve splurged with another kit from Queen & Company and bought their Heart Throb Kit. I was disappointed the kit didn’t come with the acrylic words any more but I was surprised at how well the papers work together. I also think the hearts were easier to create with than the ornaments. But all in all, they were both fun kits to work with.

Here’s another card I created with the Heart Throb Kit from Queen & Company. I got the card layout and idea from Mary Ann Maldonado on the Queen DT.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Lines Shaker Card Kit

Here’s another card I created using the Lines Shaker Card Kit from Queen and Company. On their site they have one in these colors but with a bunch of hearts. In using up what I had, I used stars instead but didn’t realize how patriotic it would look afterwards.  Oh well… looks like I have a July card already to use!  LOL

Lines Shaker Card Kit

Hello sunshine!  I try to use what I buy so that I don’t get piles and piles of supplies that I “save” for another day. So this month you’ll notice more shakers cards like this Lines Shaker Card Kit from Queen and Company.  I guess this was my New Year’s resolution from 2016 and it’s starting to stick… finally… half way through 2017.  LOL  My craft room is getting cleaner as I try to use up some of my old stuff too.
