We’re having a fab time with all the urban style image released between Make it Crafty and Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today we’re updating ya’ll with even more fab inspiration!  Plus Little Miss Muffet Stamps has released ten more images to the collection that you’ll want, fo’sure!

For my card I’ve used the Graffiti MiC from Little Miss Muffet Stamps then combined it with Urban Nico and the Urban Elements from Make it Crafty to create this scene.  I went with a monochromatic theme again ad a little splash of colors – but I’ve honestly colored several full colored images in between – it’s just that this is all you’re “seeing” here on the blog lately.  LOL  But I love the look and it draw attention to both areas equally, I think.

One thing I tried to do with this is create a hole in the wall and use the wood fence element to make it look like it was boarded up.  Then I could color the circles on the end of the board slats as nails but I’m not sure that they look any more like nails that before!  LOL  Next time, I’ll have to go heavy on the highlights and really give them a shine.

Welcome to the C.C. Designs Toys for Tots Blog Hop! I am so excited you could join us for the preview of “Henry Claus” and “I want that” which are two new Roberto’s Rascals images to play with.  This is a very special stamp as C.C. Designs will be donating 30% of the sales of these 2 adorable stamps to Toys for Tots from Today October 4th 2013 to December 23rd 2013.  How awesome is that?!  Love it!

For my project I combined a monochromatic look with a no-lines technique and then added a little bit of coloring so the characters would pop out.  There are so many fun things in this stamp but I really wanted to focus on the kids at the window.  😀

I used the rubber stamp and stamped it in London Gray Memento ink.

This was the perfect themed stamp for me to color as I love the scene and that it’s generic for all types of winter holidays!  Of course, I used a Christmas paper for my color selections so this one is defininatly for Christmas.  He he he  The paper ripping frame was something that “dawned” on my and half way through curling all the edges I had remembered that Jennifer just sent me a project with the same effect.  So thank you Jennifer for the burst of inspiration!  LOL

Little Miss Muffet Stamps has a rubber stamps release and just in time for the Autumn season too!  We have more images from Bugaboo in rubber and most of these will be even be fun throughout the year.  😀  First, I’m thrilled to say Fancy Sunbonnet Witch and Fancy Sunbonnet Halloween have joined the group!  And I also want to introduce the funky new Skelekinz – they have an unresistant whimsical nature.  he he he

For this project I’ve used Skeletinz Love which was drawn by Bugaboo and available in rubber at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  I hate to share this but this cute little “monster” reminds me of when my daughter wakes up in the middle of the night because she had a bad dream… she’s so stealthy and quiet that usually the first time I notice her is when she’s standing next to my bed, doll or blanket in hand, ready for a hug.  🙂

I’ve gone with some crazy colors but the green is one that I really like – it’s YG91, G43, G40 and YG231.  Then for the eyes I added a little YG93 and YG95 to get them darker.  It’s was one of those mistakes that turns out well and I’m going to have to use it again.  LOL

Phoebe and Ginger

It’s time for another challenge at Make it Colourful and get ready for a fun one!  Zoe has create a two level (actually three level for this month!) challenge and there is even a $15.00 gift voucher both categories – plus with the new close up portrait images, this challenge is hard to resist!  LOL

This image is Phoebe and I used the closed cropped version that comes with the combo.  I colored her using neutral tones then added all the colors in her eyes with browns, blues and greens.  This one is for the harder challenge.

The reflection in the eye is suppose to be a farm silhouette scene but many of the details, such as the horse, turned out to be bushes/trees instead.  LOL  Then I wanted to add a lot of blue in the “sky” portion so I could add reflections from the eye lashes too.

This second project is for the easier challenge to add basic reflections in the eyes.  The image I used is Ginger…  – what?  Did I get something stuck in my teeth?!  LOL  I know, I’m terrible, but what else could she possibly be pointing at?!  I’ve been hanging around my kiddos too long – there just starting to realize the humor in the subtitles and this is probably something I would do to them.  He he he

Anyway, the basic challenge doesn’t have to be just a dot so I kicked it up a little notch.  Bam!  I added the reflection you’d see if you were in my kitchen – the large rectangular light plus a light above the kitchen sink and another light in the hallway would show too.  It’s not a “perfect” reflection of what you’d see but it’s a rough guesstimate and it was fun to experiment with.  😀

It seems that my life can be motivated by collections and goals.  I have to have a “complete” collection even though it might not be everything, there is usually a certain limit in my mind that I have to get to before my collection is considered complete.  I’m love rubber stamps – and, I don’t think I’ve reached my “limit” yet!  LOL  The other motivation is goal driven – and this card is not an exception!  I will, eventually, create something with every image that I have.  I probably need to insert an evil laugh about now, but I’m sure it’s possible.  He he he

Here’s a close up of the image and you’ll also see Quella the Quail on there!  I thought she’d be a fun friend for Rachel.  🙂  I also enjoyed blending the blues and browns to give her a more realistic color scheme.

Sonny Honeycloud Mistletoe

There’s a new challenge opening up today at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the theme is “We Wish You a Merry Xmas!”  It’s never to early, or too late, to start working on your holiday cards so this is a challenge to get you motivated and inspired to create all those much enjoyed holiday greetings!  I’ve gone with a red and blue theme and did a little recycling on my project.  I’ll explain that a little later… but here’s my project for today…

The image is Sonny Honeycloud Mistletoe rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and was drawn by Pollycraft.  I think this girl would be great in many other colors too and having the mistletoe on her hat is cute and makes for a great card front!  The recycling portion on here are the snowflakes which I had used once before in the summer – they were originally in a children’s cup, the ones that have a double lining with water in between.  These were the floaters and when the cup broke, I just couldn’t toss them in the rubbish.  LOL

I’m excited when I use up all the papers in a theme for two reasons – one, I’m probably tired of the patterns by the end, and two, it feels good to know I’ve put it ALL to good use.  😀  This card is one of them and I think I’m more excited about my first reason than my second.  He he he
