Happy Twila

Merry Christmas!  I hope it’s full of fun, surprises and coloring!  😀

This is Happy Twila and is one of my favorite stamps this month.  I can tell that many other people love her too as she is so hard to keep stocked in the store. I can just imagine here saying “I love it” in the same sing-song way that my daughter says it.  So adorable!

I was planning on posting a project using a Little Miss Muffet Stamp but this is pretty close.  Plus this was the only project I had ready.  LOL.  So instead, I’ll be coloring a LMM image and then I can still get some enjoyment out of what I’ve drawn.  Sigh.  I know just the stamp I’ll color too.  🙂

Happy Twila

This is one of the cutest stamps I’ve cleared this month and I wish I could say it was one that I drew.  But alas, it wasn’t.  Don’t let that deter you, cuz sometimes an images just resonates with our inner soul and this was the one for me.  I’m allowed, right?

This is Happy Twila and I created a card using the Four Seasons Tree Die as the background.  The decorative paper was actually created by me by using the chisel tip of B01 and drawing stripes.  I then used a black liner and added some more stripes.  It was actually fun a perfect for what I needed.  This Happy Twila was actually the label from the stamp – I’ll show the one I colored in a couple days.

Dexter Ice Cream

Little Miss Muffet Stamps is sponsoring the challenge today at Cards und More and I thought I’d join along with a project of my own.  The theme is “Christmas” and I wanted to share a tag I created using the Cutters Baggie and Tag die.
Here’s my latest project using Dexter Ice Cream from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Dexter was colored with my Marvy Le Plume markers.  I had actually colored Dexter long before but went over a couple areas so I could use it on this project.  The ice cream and hat were more of a pink but I wanted a red.  This is one of those times that the alcohol markers come in handy.  I grabbed a red Copic marker that I liked and lightly colored over those areas until it turned red.  Simple!

Miss Anya Hats Off

Today is my day to post on The Greeting Farm blog and I’ve been working on some tags for the holiday season to be used with gift cards.  I started out with the Cutters Baggies and Tags metal die from CC Designs then began adding stuff to it.  For this post, I’m going to focus on the red one … “you’re something special.”

The image I used is one of the girls from Miss Anya Hats Off from The Greeting Farm.  This girl is a sitting gal so I also used the chair from Cozy Cafe from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.   I fussy cut around the images to merge them instead of masking them when I stamped.  I was doubting myself about the fussy cutting when I started cutting out the decorative part of the chair.  It was luck that I started on the left side because I was able to give up when I got around the top.  LOL  They’re both mounted with foam so they stick out from the card for some dimension.

Copic colors used:
R59, 46, 12, 05
W8, 6, 4, 2
B99, 97, 95, 93, 91
C5, 4, 3, 2
E35, 34, 31, 30, 00, 0000
YR24, Y32, Y21
110, 0, E49, BV23
Paper: EP Keepin’ Cozy

For the outside envelope, I found an older TGF sentiment which worked well for the occasion. I loved how Marika used a bunch of different ribbons on her project so I followed suit.  Then I tied them all together with baker’s twine.  I also used the same twine for the outside of the envelope.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you are off to a great week!

MonztaGalz

Happy Halloween Eve!  I thought this would be a fitting project for today seems most of us are out haunting the neighborhood this weekend.  This is one of the MonztaGalz from Make it Crafty.  A portion of it was actually a previous project, Mini Gothilia, and was I used it as the main focus for this project.  I also used my spiders paper punch and the Skulls & Bones cutters die for embellishments.

Luna Bitterfrost Fallen Angel

I created this project for the new challenge at LMM which is to create a tag, challenge #123.  I’ve used Luna Bitterfrost Fallen Angel and paired her with the Marine Creek Door metal die.  Then I also added some other diecuts (Bats and Skull & Bones) and create a Halloween themed card.

I thought that a Halloween project doesn’t have to be all orange and black so it was fun to add some yellow and teal into mix.  The metal die I used for the tag was a random choice, but now that I look at it, it looks like a tomb stone.  That was a lucky pick!  LOL
