Lorna Loch and Nessie

Welcome back to another preview of Spunky Spooks from Simply B Stamps! This is the third on that has been revealed and the second one on my blog – so don’t miss out on the first one and the design team inspiration over at the SBS Blog – plus you can see all the details and information on how you can win some of these fun images!

Today we’re showing off Lorna Loch andNessie and this is one fun image to get your wacky colors out – I can see her in all sorts of colors with little Nessie! But in keeping with the gift set I had started, I used a monochromatic scheme and colored her with my T’s Copic Markers. The vintage Alice in Wonderland paper is from Graphics 45 and I had enough to put one on every card with two left over!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you’ve enjoyed this second card I made. I already have all the cards bundled up and ready for October to give to one lucky teacher! 😀

Haunting Hannah and Hoot

It’s release week at Simply B Stamps and Betty has put together a new line called Spunky Spooks! There are six total and on the last day we’re going to have a release blog hop! Make sure you head on over to the SBS Blog for all the details and information on how you can win some of these fun images!

The image I’m starting off with is Haunting Hannah and Hoot. I made cards out of each of them using the same elements and layout then combined them for a gift set. Basically everything I used are left over scraps from Halloween two years ago and it felt good to use it up. This ensemble was part of the 19 cards I made over the weekend. ;D

Also, just want to mention there are tons of new kits in the SBS Store along with some new digi stamps too! The Christmas Zombies are available in both rubber and kit form plus I see some Steampunks, Valentine Emos, Teen Scene, Rag Dolls and a whole bunch more. Happy Shopping!

Nora Claire Hatter

Just wanted to share with you a tag I had made using one of the Hatter girls – I actually had this one colored up and sitting on my desk for a while now and decided to do something. So I grabbed my trusty diecut tag and put this together. 😀

The stamp I used is Nora Claire Hatter from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I added a few postage type sentiments in the background from Whimsy Stamps, Vintage Travel Postage. I had later gone in and added pearls scatter around witch really finished it off but had given it away before I could take another picture – so you’ll have to image those for now. LOL

And yes, for those keeping track, I managed to color and make 19 cards this weekend – phew! Now only if I can do it again tomorrow then I’ll finally be on top of things… but only for a week or two. He he he. What I can’t figure out, is should I post them all at once, in large groupings or individually day by day? Hmmm, I guess you’ll just have to find out. ;D

Thanks for dropping by and hope you’ve been inspired to make some tags!

Foxy

It’s a new challenge over at Some Odd Girls and this month we have a color combo for you! It’s a fun one too – anything with browns and pinks is fun. 😀 Be sure to head on over to the SOG Blog and check out all the other DT inspiration!

The image I used is Foxy from Some Odd Girl. Now I know foxes are normally red but brown foxes do exist and I wanted to give this cutie and new look. 😀 So I reached for my E40s and colored away.

For my project I created a tag and I decided to bring out some fabric to add to the mix. Then I used a Whimsy tag and layered it with a Make it Crafty chippies, painted in black. For the embellishments I sprinkled some dragonflies and gems and finished it off with ribbon. I’m getting a nice stash of tags and can’t wait to start using them on gifts.

As a final project, I wanted to share a project from my oldest daughter. She took one look at me stamping Foxy and exclaimed that she wanted one too! Plus she wanted me to stamp a few other stamps that were hanging around on my desk. 😀 Here’s her project and she even got to use my Copic markers – ah, what a day!

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s inspiration and thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Agent Popcorn Planning

It’s the end of another month and time to start planning on the next one. 😀 At least, that’s what this little gal is doing! This is Agent Popcorn Planning from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and she is part of the Operation Treehouse series, and our newest addition!

I’ve added a bunch of fun embellishment including the compass brad and a clock too. With so many little things on the bottom, I added a large wide ribbon to help give it a solid base. The papers are from My Mind’s Eye and are adorable – I love the pink, cream and brown color scheme! I think it’s called Lost and Found Two Blush and I’ve already used it on several projects!

The image is Agent Popcorn Planning and I can see her doing all sorts of things from reading a map, being an architect, mountain climbing or even on a road trip – but in my mind she will always be secretly plotting against the boys next door! LOL

Today is the start of a weekend and I have lots planned – including coloring up 18 new images for Little Miss Muffet Stamps which will be released on Thursday! I’m so excited about the paper I got today just for them and will be coloring in spring colors all day! He he he. Hope you have a great weekend planned and thanks for stopping by! *Hugs

Mother & Baby Fairy

Are you ready for the next challenge at Make it Colourful? It’s all about movement and there are already some fantastic samples in the gallery to show off – especially Ruby! Make sure you check them all out. 😀 But don’t get discouraged, because there have been so many ways to show movement that I’m sure one will suit your creativity.

For my project I used Mother and Baby Fairy by Make it Crafty and also added a few Mini Dragonfly chippies in the scene. I wanted to try showing movement in the Mother’s wings, however, I’m not sure how it worked out. I colored the wings in a set of two and offset them a bit from the actual line art. I’m not sure if the color is too dark or the wings are too large but it kind of works and kinda doesn’t. LOL

I also colored the left offset wing in more of a green and the right offset wing in more of a blue. For the background I wanted to try coloring a blurry scene as if it was full of foliage that was too far in the distance to be in focus. But again, I’m not sure it turned out to my liking. It was a good try and as a last resort, I threw in some crazy brush strokes to distract you from the real mess in the background.

But the best part about the project is the adorable little baby sleeping on the flower – I mean, who wouldn’t love coloring that sweet pea?! My daughters love to curl up like that and they look so snugly! 😀

Speaking of which, here’s a project my oldest daughter make the other day. She loves to use my Copic markers and begs me every chance she gets so we often color side by side – elbow to elbow more like it – as we share the desk with the markers on it. I love the crazy color combinations she comes up wth!

For her project, she used Zippy from Make it Crafty and Frienship Ticket Sentiments and ticket die from Whimsy. (She also likes to use tape instead of glue – can’t believe it!)

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend planned with lots of creativity!
