Jr. Hatter Frankie

Welcome! Today Little Miss Muffet Stamps is sponsoring a special young girl, Cassandra, who is deaf. She also happens to be my 11-year-old daughter and one of my muses when drawing images. She attends a public school and has asked for real-time captioning (RTC). RTC is where a captionist will type up what is spoken in class and display it on a tablet so she can read information that she has missed. Without it, she struggles every day and has to guess at the meaning of half-heard words and sentences.

This event is to raise awareness and to spread the word. You can read more about her story HERE and sign the petition HERE. For each signature we receive, the school administrators receive and email regarding our request. I hope you can help me fill their inboxes!

To support this petition, and to spread the word, Little Miss Muffet Stamps has released a dozen New Images to play with.
Plus Polka Dot Pals Rosalie is a freebie in the store for everyone to join in. We’d love to see what you’ll create… but more importantly, we hope you can help Cassandra by signing the petition and spreading the word.

You are welcome to send words of encouragement:

This is the project I’ve made for today using Jr. Hatter Frankie.  I used a simple design with twine and a chipboard dragonfly from Make it Crafty.  Then I had fun with the colors – especially the puppy.

Check out what the other Little Misses have created HERE.

Jessie Summer Breeze

This adorable character is Jessie Summer Breeze by Pollycraft.  Paula has opened up her shop again onto Etsy and you can find many wonderfully cute images to play with.  As many of you know, Paula draws for Little Miss Muffet Stamps and we enjoy new images from her all the time.  However, these images on Etsy are all different characters is you’ll want to make sure you check those out too.  This one below was one I couldn’t resist coloring myself.  TeeHee

Also you can read about what Paula has been up to on here blog HERE.  Two of my daughters are deaf so I laughed, cried, and sympathized with her latest post all the way.  We couldn’t get the BAHA but was able to utilize cochlear implants.  If we ever get together, we can compare American Sign Language with British Sign Language.  Oh, yea!  Hang in there Paula and thanks for all the adorable images!

Lastly I used the Happy Days Tab Sentiment from Make It Crafty to create the sentiment.  The chipboard tag also comes in the set and is always fun to use.

Polka Dot Pals Yang

Here’s a card I’ve been saving up to share.  This mini card was created to show what you can do with the little gift you’ll currently receive when placing a rubber stamp order.  I wanted to include something that you could use and this is what I created with my supplies.  The girl, Polka Dot Pals Yang, and the books, Cupcake ‘n Books, were masked and stamped then colored to match the supplies.  This was inspired by a card Faye created and the freckles on Yang’s face was inspired by an image Zoe colored.  Thanks ladies for your inspiration!

Wisteria Sprite

I hope, for those in the northern hemisphere, that you’re all enjoying your summer.  And for those in the southern hemisphere, I hope you’re winter hasn’t gotten too cold yet.  Birrr!  I’m out of town enjoying the countryside as we travel across the states.  I’m sure by now I’m hearing the nagging “are we home yet?” comment from the kids.  LOL  Anyway, I wanted to share some projects but I only had one to schedule.

For this project, I’ve used Mitzi Sato-Wiuff’s Wisteria Sprite from Sweet Pea Stamps and colored her on watercolor paper.  Her hair was was done with Polychromos pencils and the rest was done with Copic markers.  The pencils weren’t working very well for me and cramped up my hands.  So I switched to finish the rest with markers and even tried to get the background to look like watercolors.  Not sure if this was the end goal I was hoping for but I think it turned out none the less.

The tag stamp and chipboard tag accompaniment are from Make it Crafty and is always a great embellishment.  It’s the Happy Days Tab Sentiment.

Hope you enjoy this project and have a great week!

Fearless Fairy Tales Snow White

I put up a vote on Facebook for your favorite Fearless Fairy Tale character and decided to create a card using one of them.  Now, normally I’d go for the favorite, which was Little Mermaid, so I’ll probably be creating another one using her.  😀  For for this card, I used Fearless Fairy Tales Snow White from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I went with an old style and vintage look, which I hope it worked out.  These are some papers I haven’t used in a while so it was refreshing to get those colors out again.  Thanks for dropping by and have a great, awesome day.  😀

Sunbonnet Fire Truck

I have a boy card to share today and enjoyed putting this one together.  I wanted to use the Say What? and Mini Alpha & Numbers diecuts from CC Designs so I picked a smaller image to use.  This one worked well and I could put it more on the side of the card.

I used Sunbonnet Fire Truck from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and colored him in bright reds and oranges.  I didn’t have any papers that matched but I think I found a good compromise with these subtle colors.  Lastly I grabbed some of my red/black/white twine and wrapped it up for a finished look.  Hope you like it and enjoy!

For those who want a good laugh…
this was shared with me the other day and I about busted a gut!
