Polka Dot Pals Jayden Farm Break DCS

Sometimes not knowing what to color next, I look to my desk for inspiration. Or rather, I’m too lazy to look elsewhere and grab the closest thing… in this case, it was my second printing of the digital scene Polka Dot Pals Jayden Farm Break. I thought, sure why not! And this time I was going to do it different.

Update: This event is over but you still have time to enter the challenges with your creativity and coloring. Good luck! If you haven’t already heard, Whimsy Stamps is having their Virtual Weekend Retreat and this is one of the talk about images – there is a video, inspiration by others, and more. So come on over and play along in the games, challenges, chit-chat and prizes.

Whenever I think of farms, I gravitate towards animals and food crops – so I often forget about all the gorgeous and colorful flower farms out there. So this farm is dedicated to tulips and lavender. I can only imagine what it would be like to visit here. Blissful and aromatic for sure.
I really enjoyed how the mouth turned out on this gal. They don’t always turn out to be my favorites so it’s a happy result when it does. I also like the vine that I added to the silo. I do wish, however, I made the back row of trees into clouds instead. But that’ll just be something I can do next time.
While traveling, I enjoying spotting the barn quilt squares so I decided to add one to this barn. I went with a flying geese pattern. The fields I tried to color are orange tulips and lush lavender. I added dimension to these crops with Liquid Pearls.
