Sage

The challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps this week is to make “Easel, Shaped or Step Card” which was inspired directly by our very own DT member… Leah Ann! She always makes the most wonderful easel cards and sometimes I need an excuse to get out of the norm and this was perfect! So here is my easel card…

I used Sage from Little Miss Muffet Stamps to be the center focus of this card. For the top and inside of the card, I pretty much used the same layout, papers and embellishments. I could have added more and went all out but one step at a time. ;D The best part is, after looking at one of Leah Ann’s cards, I had to get my own and so it was fitting to use it on this card too. Thanks for the inspiration!

The sentiment stamp is from Stampin’ Up but I don’t remember which set it’s from – it’s a single stamp I have set aside because it use it more often. 😀 There’s not much more to say about the card that you can see already. LOL But I will say… come back on Sunday for the New Releases from Little Miss Muffet Stamps this month!!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Ruby’s Rainbow Challenge #24 – Lace
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge – Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge – Anything Goes
Everybody Art Challenge #184 – Easel Cards
Craft Your Passion Challenge #101 – Easel Cards

Astronaut Tilda

O’ho’ho’o! Have I got a special project for you today!! 😀 It’s rare to actually capture Gilda but I finally found a good enough bribe and she posed for me just to share with you all! Confused yet? Well, this is Astronaut Tilda as she would look like if she lived on the moon.. Alien Gilda! LOL I saw Anneth’s Wolverine Tilda the other day and couldn’t resit giving it a try… so meet Gilda…

Well, what do you think? LOL We all want a Gilda in our collection right? Right? 😀 Ok, so not everyone will be a fan, I know, but she was such a fun challenge to color and it really opens up the possibilities for other faces too. Anneth has also donea Goth Tilda, which I tried but utterly failed and will have to try again later.

The colors in the face were done with N0-N8 and the new E80s colors which turned out great for the theme. I also colored the moon which was not a simple task…. I’ve done it several times before but never on such a large scale which made it super difficult to get the scaling correct in my mind. But one thing I’ve learned about coloring moons…. just keep going at it and eventually it will look “just fine!” 😀

I wish there were a couple Magnolia only challenges to enter this into but I’ve used the wrong colors and there are no flowers on this project… so alas, no challenges will have to do. 😀 Anyway, I hope you like the inspiration, even if you’re not a huge fan, but I still know it will make a perfect Father’s day card this year. He he he. Cheers!

Le Parfum des Roses

I’m excited to share that I’ve been asked by my friend Tracy to guest at Copic Marker Europe today!! I’ve created this fun project to share and hope it brings you some inspiration for your next project. I used to pick out my decorative papers first but now I’m the other way around so sometimes it’s impossible to find a perfect coordination but in this case I think the odds were in my favor. Check it out…

The images I used is from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and is called Le Parfum des Roses which means “The Smell of Roses.” This is actually one of my first images to make it into rubber stamp form so it’s exciting to use! The two background stamps are from Whimsy’s Vintage Travel Postage Stamps set. Thank you to Jen (JLJ Designs) for the hat pins which coordinated perfectly with it project! And finally the chippies I used are Swirly Corners from Make it Crafty.

I supose since this is for Copic inspirational blog I should list some colors!! I think I used G40, G21 and G82 for the greens, plus a little BG93 and BG96 on the leaves; No-N8 for the blacks and whites; the reds are R14, R17, R27, R46 and R59; skin tones are E000, E00, E21, E53 and R11, R12 for blush; eyes are B91 and B95; and lastly the hair, which I *think* YR23, YR24 and E55.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Burtonized Christian Burton Chibi

It’s Release Day and a Blog Hop for the latest release at Simply B Stamps! Today we’re showcasing Burtonized Christian Burton Chibi which is the last character in the Burton Chibis II Series! Make sure to visit the SBS blog for the release details. 😀

You should have arrived her from the talented ALISON!
(But if your lost you can start back at the SBS blog.)

For my project I decided to go full Holloweenish and forget about making this cool dude look all cutsie. LOL I got out my Halloween papers and created a page in my ATC Journal book. I used felt elements, the pumpkin sticker and cloud diecut shape, to give it a little texture then colored Burtonized Christian in brighter colors to create some interest.

The moon is a Martha Stewart label that I colored with E50, E51 and E53 using a picture of the moon in Google as a reference. It looked pretty good but then I decided to cover it up with the cloud so this is all you get to see. LOL Finally I dashed some faux stitching around the edges with a white gel pen and I was finished. 😀

Thanks for stopping by and before you hop on over to the next stop, I wanted to post the winner from yesterday’s guessing challenge. I knew it was going to be hard one with a twist in it and decided to used Random.org to pick from all the comments left! So the winner is…

Annette
“wow this is just so darn cute…I totally love that fun image…”

Congratulations! My email address is on the sidebar and you can contact me with your free digi choice from Little Miss Muffet Stamps!

Your next stop on the hop is the fantastic BETTY!

Rio Burton Chibi

Welcome back to another Simply B Stamp preview of a Burton Chibi!! For those keeping an eye out on all of them this week, I posted a guessing challenge with the last post to see who could figure out the next Burton Chibi… and the answer is… Rio!! He he he… I know, I know… totally not a fare challenge! LOL However, for those that took a guess, I’ll draw a random winner and post it with my last SBS preview project tomorrow so don’t forget to come back. 😀

This sweet image is Rio Burton Chibi and she is the newest character on the block at Simply B Stamps. She’s my favorite from this release and didn’t even need any “work” to make her adorable! The HUG ticket is something I ordered from Oriental Trading Company and seemed to be perfect on this project. I’m sure my daughter won’t miss one. LOL

I went all out on this card and even used a new layout instead of the standard quick-to that I always use. I also added some seweing theme chippies and I suppose I missed out on the pearls this time around but I’ll manage. 😀

I had used one of my Tim Holtz metal plaque accents at the top right and it’s so hard to choose a which number to use. The package comes with the numbers 14, 25, 31, 15, 17, 82, 46, 57 and 63; and up to this point I wasn’t sure how they coorilated with anything. Anyone know where these numbers come from? I figure 14, 25, 31 and 17 coorilate with popular calendar holidays; but what about the rest? Well for now… I’m just randomly grabbing a number and hoping it fits. Perhaps this one is good for a sweet 15 birthday, Quinceañera.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ve enjoyed this project! *Hugs

Lydia Burton Chibi

Are you ready for some more Tim Burton goodness? The next Burton Chibi we have to show is Lydia and if you’ve already been to the SBS Blog then you’ve already seen the fabulous inspiration from the other design team and know that this is one versatile gal. 😀 There’s no work necessary to convert her… as you can see, she also make a perfect birthday card!

The image is Lydia Burton Chibi from Simply B Stamps which will be released tomorrow! The card was cut from the book looking Spellbinder’s label. The left side was folded and placed just inside the diecut so it could be a card. I used white paper and cut the other smaller shape for the inside to look like a book.

The rest of the card was put together with odds and ends from the table… you know, all those things that I’m too lazy to put oaway or find homes for?! Yep, those! I’ve had the party hat stickers on my desk since before Christmas if you can believe that. LOL

If you like this image just wait until the next one! I’m so excited and you’ll NEVER guess which Tim Burton character it’s going to be! LOL In fact, if you can then I’ll offer a random winner a free digi from Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Just leave your comment below and you have until 8:00 pm Central US Time today to add your guesses. 😀 I’ll post the winner on Friday with the SBS Blog Hop. Good luck!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenge:
