Emily Rose Hatter

I got a little bit of “Monday cleaning” done around here and I’d have to say my desk looks fantastically clean!! Just don’t look at my floor, however! LOL But I’m more than 24 hours ahead on my projects (knock on wood, then knock again) so I’d say it’s been a good Monday so far. 😀

Here’s my project that I have for you to today which features Emily Rose Hatter from Little Miss Muffet Stamps… and I’ll give you a little hint as to it’s origin… it’s not a digital! Oops, probably said too much already! But if you’re still in the dark, be sure to check back this Thursday for the official big news!! 😀

If you remember from Sunday, this is part of the gift set that was created using the Sincerely decorative paper by Trinity Papers Arts which is also the same stuff I used yesterday. It always feels good to finish up a paper pack and I think I have enough to make two more cards. (Well, apart from what I’ve already made!)

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Make it Monday #84 – JFF Anything Goes
Lawnscaping Challenge #31 – Coloring (click HERE for insp. photo)
Paper Pretties Challenges – 3 or more Layers
The Cutie Pie Challenge #15 – Favorite Cute Stamp

Update: I was the winner at The Cutie Pie Challenge for this project!

Little Loves (Tia Version)

Are you ready for some new releases at Some Odd Girl? I couldn’t resit jumping in on this release as these digis are so cute! The first ones being released are Little Loves (Tia Version) and Little Loves (Tobie Version) which are perfect for mother’s, teacher, aunts and even grandmas. 😀

For my project I used Little Loves (Tia Version) and made another post-it notepad holder as a teacher gift. I have four total to make so only one more to go! These have been great teacher gifts and the plastic picture frame I’ve put it in is only a $1 or $2. The hardest part was keeping the project flat so it would fit inside. 😀 But they look great on the desk and hardly take up any room.

The decorative papers are Sincerely by Trinity Papers Arts and I had the hardest time matching that pink this time. (I should have written down my numbers from last time!) But I ended up going through almost every shade of RV on top of my reds to try and correct it…. then after realizing it isn’t changing colors anymore, I had to give up! LOL But in real life the colors are close enough to call it good. LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ve been inspired by the project, colors or something. 😀 Don’t forget to head on over to the SOG Blog for more inspiration and have a great Monday!

Blog Candy – Winner

Oh my, the Blog Candy – The day is nearly over and I had plum forgotten about it! Someone should have thrown a stick at my head as a reminder. LOL

Ok, so the winner of the You Make the Grade Blog Candy found HERE is

#28 JLJ Designs

Congratulations Jen!! My email is on the sidebar and you can contact me with your mailing address so I can get her mail out. 😀

Thanks to everyone to played along and I have a couple more extras that I’ll offer once in a while – so if you didn’t win this time then you can keep your fingers crossed for next time. And for some news… I am releasing some new stamps at Little Miss Muffet Stamps this Thursday so you don’t want to miss out on that excitement! (hint, hint)

Chocolate Bunny

Welcome back and I hope you are all having a great Easter so far! I couldn’t resit coloring up the bunny but gave up on the Raspberry Swirls and went with straight chocolate. Yummy! I ended up using E31, E25, E27, E57 and E59 with my Copic Colors then highlighted with a white gel pen. So while my kids were enjoying their chocolate bunnies, I got to enjoy mines. 😀

This image is Bunny from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and you can get it for free today only! You can check out the details HERE or click on the image below.

The paper I used on my project is from My Minds Eye and is Lost and Found Two Blush. I also used a Memory Box die, key and lock chipboard and some rose ribbon. The “bites” out of the card are made with a scalloped punch and lend well with the chocolate theme. LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by again and I hope you’ve enjoyed this mid-day inspiration! Now we’re off to Grandma’s house for dinner and to enjoy a few more Easter Day traditions. 😀 *Hugs

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Card Crafter’s Circle Challenge #7 – Chocolate Bunnies
Creative Inspiration Paint Challenges – Inspired by Bunnies or Chicks
Simply Create Too Challenge #10 – Eggs or Bunnies
Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe #66 – Bunnies & Chicks

Update: I was in the Top 3 at Card Crafter’s Circle for this challenge!

Update: I was a winner at Creative Inspiration Paint for this challenge!

Hatter Hat Stands

I hope everyone is having an awesome Happy Easter with some beautiful weather too! We have lots of festivities planned today and my kids are super excited. 😀 Hopefully they won’t be too loaded up on candy and we’ll get through the day temper-tantrum-free. LOL Anyway, I have a fun project to show today featuring images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I thought it was perfect for the occasion. 😀

This project uses an image from the Hatter Hat Stands and a rubber one from the Hatter Hats Combo B available from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. You’ll also recognize the hat as the one from Elisabeth Louise Hatter which I thought looked very Easter-y.

I colored the hat stand to look like wood and used E55, E57 and E59 but it took me two times to figure it out. Finally it worked if I started with the lightest color and gradually built up the darker colors with the blending and wood marks. Also, it helps to keep away from the eye are on the “face” when coloring the wood knots unless you’re going for an added face look. I’ve seen some wood hat stands with a shaped face that would look awesome on this too!

I picked up the decorative papers from my local craft store and I think they are Sincerely by Trinity Papers Arts. It was a fun sophisticated look that went well with the Hatters theme so I ended up creating eight cards at a time with the same layout. It’s a great way to get a bunch of cards made and they look awesome all packaged up together! But you’ll have to wait until a bit later to see the rest!!

I’m also excited to announce that I’m giving away a free bunny with every purchase at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! (Click HERE for details.) I found some huge chocolate bunnies for the Easter baskets and I thought we could all use some fat-free chocolate bunnies ourselves! So here’s the bunny and now you just have to coloring it up to look like chocolate. LOL Hmmm, what color scheme would that be? I might have to give that a try myself and see if I can get it to look like a Silky Smooth Raspberry & Dark Chocolate Swirl – yummy!
