Cupcake Surprise

Yummy chocolate!  If you missed out on the action yesterday, this was the Sunday Spotlighted image at Little Miss Muffet Stamps which will be the first in the series on a weekly basis.  Each week we’ll spotlight a rubber stamp and then offer a discount for that day only.  I had two projects created with this fun stamp and so I wanted to share the second one.

This image, of course, is Cupcake Surprise from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and instead of using the character, I decided to use the cherries.  I don’t remember where I got the idea to use two cherries like this but I think it was from the LMMS DT – nonetheless, I thought it was brilliant and had to borrow the idea.

Cupcake Surprise

This is going to be A quick post as I’m actually out of town, the kids have exhausted me, and I’m ready for some sleep. LOL  However, this is such good news that I couldn’t skip out on the fun. What’s the news? Little Miss Muffet Stamps is starting Sunday Spotlights!!

The first spotlighted stamp is Cupcake Surprise… which means you can purchase this stamp at 20% off today only! On this project I have also used the Party Banner Metal Die also from LMMS.

This image was so much fun to color that I have another card made and waiting to be published. The other one I used the cherry instead of the character and it turned out just as cute. 😀

Forest Friends Rosa

I Love technology! I’ve been in the dark ages for far too long when it Comes to phones. Up until now I’ve had a simple phone to use. Granted, it was nice with it’s touch screen and slide out keyboard. But when I Compare it to the capabilities of this new one? WOW, it was like I’ve been pushing my wagon with square wheels all along! LOL Ok, so what’s my point? I’m on vacation yet still have access to what I need/want to do this Weekend. Ahhhh, it’s heaven. 🙂

This project uses a Forest Friends stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. This one is Rosa the rattlesnake. She was stamped in a grouping of mushrooms and enjoying an afternoon chitchat with her friend the dragonfly.

The sentiment was done on the fly and easier than you might think. I wrote the saying first then drew a box around that and added four circles for nails. Then colored it to look like wood. The hardest part was thinking of the sentiment!

For the last few touches, I added grass and dots in the sky with various blues and greens. I like how the colors turned out on this one and hopefully you do too.

Update: I was a selected in the Top 3 over at Artist Inspirations Challenge!

Polka Dot Pals Katie

Did you check out the surprise over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps?  There’s a FREEBIE available today so you don’t want to miss out on that.  It’s even an image from the Polka Dot Pals line and perfect for this time of year.  😀  I didn’t have time to make a sample with the freebie but I have another Polka Dot Pal to show today.  This one is Katie!

The image I used is Polka Dot Pals Katie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I colored her face with a bright-eyed expression.  I recently met a little baby boy that had the brightest blue eyes ever and thought that would be fun to color.  And to help them be the brightest they can be, I chose only use blue on the eyes.

There are a few things on there that I don’t normally use so here’s the run down… the chipboard embellishment is typically on my projects but this time I colored it with my Copic markers to match the grass colors and pull the green out.  Then I also tried to use Flowersoft as part of the ground cover but I can never get hang of it.  So I brushed off as much as possible then started adding little flowers to fill in.

The Corrosive Challenge #176

Update: I was selected in the Top 3 at ABC Challenges!

Snowballs and Snow Buds

There’s a new challenge starting today at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and our theme for this round is “Happy Families!”  We want to see your creations with more than one stamp on your project depicting a family scene.  For my project I’ve gone for brothers and sisters in combination of a Winter scene.  Check it out…

The images I used are Snowballs and Snow Buds from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  I couldn’t wait to put these two figures together as I thought they made a wonderful scene!  The rubber stamps and sizes just right for each other.  I stamped the boy first then masked him and stamped the girl image.

The snowflakes are painted chipboard designs from Make it Crafty and I added some gems to the center of a few.  Then added a few more gems around hoping to give the illusion of snow falling.

I’d like to enter this into the following Anything Goes themed challenges:

Elle

Meet Elle… cute, adorable and chubby!  But watch out, even though she looks innocent, she’s a bit mischevious too.  ;D   I thought she would be a fun image to use with my new metal die that has been sitting on my shelf unused… the pinwheel.  I know it’s such a simple shape but I must day it was nice to have it all cut out and ready to fold with no fuss.  Plus it has all the rounded corners and required holes – bottom line, it’s convenient!  LOL

The pinwheels were so much fun that my daughter wanted me to cut some out for her too.  I don’t remember how many I ran through the dicutting press, but I do remember I had to help fold everyone one!  She wanted them to be perfect and stressed over it too much.  So I worked out a deal that she would get them all started and I would put the brad through the center.  I’m an expert now.  LOL

The image I used is Elle from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  She was colored first then I selected papers to match – however, it was that difficult as pink is always an easy color to match in my house.  ;D This wasa  fun image to practice coloring skin tones and I tried out a new combination: E53, E51, E21, E34, E00, E000 and E0000 with a little R11 for blush.
