Jr. Hatter Lilith

I thought it would be about time that I showcase the cards that I made for Scrapping Goodtime in Corsicana, Texas.  There were two classes I taught back in June where everyone colored along with me.  This class was focused on coloring a light source so we used gray tones to help simplify the lesson and really focus on the light.  The stamp is Jr. Hatter Lilith from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

Light source is always a bit tricky and sometime it just doesn’t look right so even on this photo I bended the rules a little bit.  For example, on the birds, I wanted the bellies to be white but I they were so small that it would be difficult to have the light source on there plus a white belly.  Therefore, I kinda ignored a light source all together and just colored them with white bellies.  LOL  You probably wouldn’t have noticed that and because it’s a cartoonish image, bending the rules like this isn’t so bad.

Since the class was more about the coloring than the card making, most of the students didn’t get around to putting their cards together.  However, when they do, this simple layout will really make the image stand out.

Thanks for coming by today and I have a wonderful weekend!

Fancy Sunbonnet Patriotic

Happy 4th Everyone!  I thought it was a perfect day to use Fancy Sunbonnet Patriotic from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I have a project finished just in time to post it for the weekend.  😀  I stamped it in gray which is the usual color I’m using now days as I like the softer look but haven’t committed to the complete no lines look.  Then I colored it with my Copic Markers and placed her on a card… I was even fancy and brought out the diecuts for this project!

The mentionable products on my card are as follows:
Fancy Sunbonnet Patriotic USA from Little Miss Muffet Stamps
Happy Tabs Sentiment from Make it Crafty
(plus chipboard accessories from Make it Crafty)

Thanks for dropping by!  I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!

Hanging Clothes Cooking

This has been a fun filled summer so far for me and my kiddos… we’ve gone out of town, had family come visit us from out of town, swim lessons, summer camps and the works!  But not all at once, thank goodness.  LOL  So with all that going on, I thought it would be fun to share this card that I have created.

The stamps I used are the Hanging Clothes Cooking and Swings ‘n Slides Sweet Sentiments stamps from From Little Miss Muffet Stamps, PLUS the Clothes Line Metal Die, also from From Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I thought they all came together perfectly with the cloud paper that I used (complements from my Mom!)  It’s always nice when I can find neat stuff in someone else’s stash and even better when they can share it.  😀  These stamps were colored with Primsacolor Pencils too.  My mom started and then I finished – so yet another collaboration we shared on this project.  Hope you like it and I hope you’re enjoying your summer vacation too!  😀

I had fun with this image – as you can see – by coloring her hair blue and also using creative color placement to give this girl a face.  I wanted to go with big eyes and chubby cheeks so I think I got that mostly accomplished.  The ink I used was a gray instead of black to give is a softer look.

Thanks for coming by and have a great weekend!
