Tress Winking

This is one of the most recent page I’ve colored in my travel journal but is the first one to be shown on my blog.  The stamps I used are Tress Winking and Spring Swing from Make it Crafty, both rubber stamps available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I stamped then masked Tress Winking first before stamping the Spring Swing.  However, I wasn’t able to match up the swing very well so she was floating.  LOL  But I added some extra width to the swing so now she sits well.

Swings ‘n Slides Little Miss Christmas

Here’s another page I’ve added to my ATC Journal book, this time using Swings ‘n Slides Little Miss Christmas in a Christmas theme, of course.  This is a rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. 

The image was colored using Copic markers then cut out and popped on the project.  The papers in the background are from a Christmas themed stack and I was lukcy enough to have some ribbon to match.  I think ribbon was very “IN” a while ago because I seem to have a huge quantity!  LOL  Now I hardly use it so it feels good to use some of my stash once in a while.  😀

The rest of the page was decorated with a paper doily (thank you Faye!), some metal snowflakes and a few chipboard corners (from Make it Crafty).  Lastly, I tied a little piece of string at the top of the ribbon to keep all those layers together.  I wasn’t sure if the layers of ribbon would show up in the picture but it turned out ok.  😀  I hope you enjoy this project and thanks for coming by to check it out!

Tress Joyful

It’s another fun challenge at Make it Colourful and I’ve created this project as inspiration.  I’ve used Tress Joyful from Make it Crafty (and available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps in rubber) along with the Happy Tabs Sentiment set (which comes with chipboard accessories as a bonus!) 

The EASY challenge is to color shades of Blonde Hair and I used the Copic colors YR23, 31, 30, E53, 51 and E23.  The HARD challenge is to color folds in clothing and Zoe’s new tutorial is perfect to get your started!

Fearless Fairy Tales Sleeping Beauty

http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=422774 The image I chose to use was Fearless Fairy Tales Sleeping Beauty; I also used the Birds on a Wire Metal Die in the background.  I put these together with papers from Storytime paper pad from We R Memory Keepers.

I’m back and must say I had the best time hoping through the link collection! And being last on the list, I hope you’ve been sufficiently satisfied and fancifulified with so much inspiration that you’ve got to have them all! I know I have.  🙂  [My Aunt-in-law used to say “sufficiently satiated and fancifulified” after eating out that the lyrical phrase just kinda stuck with me. LOL So I’m glad I was able to put it to use.]

Storybook Friends

Here’s one of the images I colored when Zoe was in town for a visit and thought it was a perfect theme, considering.  This is Storybook Friends by Tina Wenke from Stampavie.  I have a soft spot for any stamp that features reading so this was a simple must have on my wish list.  😀  I stamped it with black on kraft card stock then colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The card layout was kept simple with just a little doodling around the edges.

Polka Dot Pals Lottie

This is Polka Dot Pals Lottie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and is one of my favorites from this season!  Partly because this was the stamp that I had made for the coloring retreat when we all got together in March – best weekend eva!  The other part is because she is so fun to color – just look at all that hair – what a dream.  😀

This is the second card that I created for the classes I taught at Scrapping Goodtime in June (which now I’m thinking it was in May?!)  But never the less, we were working on light source and breaking down the image into sections so we could focus on where the light part should be and where the darker part should be.  I always think it’s easier to work on light source with monochromatic colors so transposing the same concepts to colors always takes our brains for a ride.  In addition, I tend to keep my colors lighter and so the effect is more subtle. 

This coloring along was done using the Marvy Le Plume markers and the card layout was kept simple so we could focus more on the coloring part rather than the card making part.  (Which I think is the better portion anyway.  LOL)  The weekend was great and full of other coloring too – so stay tuned and watch for more inspiration to pop up!  *Hugs
