Polka Dot Pals Leilani

We have an inspiration blog post at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today and I wanted to display the card I used the for the Cheeks & Nose Tutorial.   I still have the other sheet that I used and was thinking about an eye tutorial… but… maybe another day when I have some more time.  It’s still on my desk, however, so maybe. In the mean time, here’s a warm seasoned Christmas card…

I used Polka Dot Pals Leilani and Palm Christmas Tree, both from Little Miss Muffet Stamp.  The colors were grabbed from a spring paper pad that I have plus a bit of green scraps to help bring in the Christmas colors.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a great week!

Felicity

I decided to take my coloring with me and grabbed my pencils since they’re in a nice to-go box that’s easy to travel with.  But before stepping out the door, I stamped Felicity, from Make it Crafty, in black on an over-sized kraft card.  I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with all the empty spot, but I didn’t care at the moment… I was fixin’ to color and *that* was exciting!  LOL   My main goal for coloring Felicity was to use the kraft cardstock as part of the skin color.  So I kept the coloring of skin to a minimal with just a little cream and a tiny bit of dark brown for a shadow.  Here’s what she looked liked finished…

For the card, I decided a little bit of doodling would be fun and inspired by the Zentangle® method of pattern drawing.  However, I kept it in the corner to balance out the character.  Then for fun, I found a little bird cage charm and added that to the tangles.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day!

Sugar ‘n Spice Dolls Thyme

Sometimes I get so far behind in my crafting that I’m often working on holidays long past.  For example, this is one that I started before Valentines Day… and I also just finished up two others that I started before Christmas!  Oh my, what you to do with me!  LOL  I’ll quickly post this one because even though Valentines is over, there is always room for a Love card to share.  😀

This card uses Sugar ‘n Spice Dolls Thyme from Little Miss Muffet Stamps as a rubber stamp.  This doll is one fun girl to color especially since I gave her pink hair.  😀  The wood elements are from Dephine (thanks sweetie) and the corner is a chipboard embellishment from Make it Crafty.  The paper was cut larger than I normally make paper and I think it’s 6″ wide so I’m going to have to find a special envelope for it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and it’s time for me to sign off.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugs

Monster Birthday Balloon

Yesterday I decided I was going to sit down and color this week before doing any of my daily tasks.  I thought if I could get some therapy done that the chores wouldn’t be so bad.  Well, turns out, I got lost at my desk and completely skipped out on the have-to’s!  LOL  So I have some double duty to attend to today but before I get to that, I wanted to share one of the cards I made.

This card uses Monster Birthday Balloon rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I promised some ideas to do with the balloons last week and this is one of them.  I used the Honeycomb paper from Inky Antics and cut circles out for the balloons.  I also stamped a couple extra balloons because it was so much fun and three is better than one.  😀

This is also a perfect card to go along the challenge theme at Little Miss Muffet Stamps – there is one more week to create birthday cards or cards with balloons on them.  (hint, hint)  Thanks so much for coming by and I suppose this means I need to get to my to-do list.  Shucks

Monster Rose

Happy Valentines Day!!  No matter where you’re at this year or who you’re with, I hope that it’s a fabulous day for you to spend with your family, friends and loved loved ones.  For me?  I’ve made Valentine cards for my kids and placed them on the breakfast table for when they wake up.  Then I couldn’t resist getting a few extra goodies for them to play with today and an extra hug and kiss on the way out the door.  😀  It’s also a school day which brightens up their day even more since elementary school still does class parties and the whole nine-yards.  Bonus!!

The project I made today uses the new Monster Rose in rubber from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I colored this guy three times and cut out layers so I could pop them up.  The first layer is the whole image, of course.  Then on top of that I cut out the body, rose and one flower stem.  For the third and topmost layer, I cut out the heart and his head.  I love how this technique looks and feels!

Also in the spirit of things is a Valentine that my daughter made using Fancy Sunbonnet Love in rubber from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  She used colored pencils to color her in and I love that she also included some greens and blues in with the Valentine colors.  I’m so lucky!

Thanks for taking the time to come by today and have a wonderful luvy-duvy day!
