It’s a new release at Whimsy Stamps and today I have two sets featured – Polka Dot Pals Uzuri and Linking Train. Both are going to be awesome for the holidays and the Linking Train is also perfect for everyday and celebrations cards. I’m excited to show off Polka Dot Pals Uzuri so keep reading for more details on how I used these key products:
This was such a fun card to create and it was also one of the more difficult ones. It’s out of my norm to use a title die like this, with the Comic Speech Bubbles, and laying it on top of a colored scene for Polka Dot Pals Uzuri. I was worried it wouldn’t look complete but it turned out so much better than I thought.I had colored the images first and had planned to color Polka Dot Pals Uzuri in cool colors but honestly, I don’t know how I ended up with reds but I’m glad I did. I liked the result of the bright character against the soft cool background. I’ll mark that as a happy accident.
Is it time for spring cleaning or renovations? Either way, Polka Dot Pals Beau is ready for the challenge. You might not recognize her, however, you’re not going to recognize this space once she gets done with it, for sure. You go girl. Want the card featured in this post? Dibs it in the comments below!! Be sure to add “DIBS” to be eligible in the random drawing and I will announce the winner with my next post in a couple days. Good Luck! This card started with the Haunted Parlor in the background. I colored it with non-Halloween colors to make it looks like an old house with the browns and whites. The next step was to add my character. Polka Dot Pals Beau is sitting and she didn’t fit very well in the room and it looked awkward to me. So I stamped her head and then stamped the boy of Polka Dot Pals Colton so she would be standing in the foreground. I used the brush and step ladder accessories to help complete the scene.
(Winner announced below with another change to win.)
I’ve made it back and I have a fun winter card to share. This card is brought to you by Bunny who asked about coloring a winter scene, “night sky, snow, something like that.” Hopefully this fits within that request. This project uses the little Christmas lamb in Polka Dot Pals Brianna with the winter scene I created in the background. I was able to record it too so that’s something you can enjoy on YouTube. Want the card featured in this post? Dibs it in the comments below!! Be sure to add “DIBS” to be eligible in the random drawing and I will announce the winner with my next post. (I just don’t know when that will be so make sure you are subscribed and get email notifications so you don’t miss out.) Good Luck! This card features Polka Dot Pals Brianna as the main focal point. She can hold lots of stuff in her hands and this time she is holding a stack of presents (which was a freebie offered to Whimsy Stamps Weekend Retreat participants last week) and on top of that is her stack of baked goodies that is included in the clear set. The girl and mouse were cut and pasted on the card base. The stack of presents were popped up with a layer of foam dots. Then the top layer of goodies was added with an action wobble. You can see that in action with the picture below. Thanks to Emma Lynn for the brilliant idea! She used that for one of the weekend retreat projects.
There’s amazing new releases at Whimsy Stamps today and I know because Polka Dot Pals Brianna is one of them! This fun holiday themed stamp is so fun to use and Brianna can carry more than just goodies in her hands too. This is one fun versatile stamp and it doesn’t even have to be holiday themed. Oh yeah!

Want the card featured in this post? Dibs it in the comments below!! Be sure to add “DIBS” to be eligible in the random drawing and I will announce the winner with my next post tomorrow. Good Luck! For this project, I used the accessory stamps from Polka Dot Pals Brianna and created this yummy holiday card. I added sparkles and holiday embellishments – plus a scratch and sniff sticker that smells like apple pies. Yum! I thought the little mouse would be fun to use as I thought it would tell a fun story of how this little mouse created some holiday goodies for someone special. All that is needed is a cherry on top.
What this card? Dibs it! Read below for details below and it could be on it’s way to you! Want this card? Dibs it in the comments below!! Be sure to add “DIBS” to be eligible in the random drawing and I will announce the winner with my next post on October 20. Then you’ll have another chance to dibs and both lucky winners will receive a happy smile in their mailbox. Goodluck! The star of this project is Kelly Book by Stamp Anniething and she’s surrounded by a bunch of her animal friends featuring stamps from Purple Onion Designs. These images were stamped with a light brown or gray ink for a softer no-lines look and then colored with Copic markers. I’ve received some requests on how to color her eyes so I’ll work on that this season. What do you like about this card and what would you like to see me do next? Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
