Let’s bee friends

Using the new release bee stamp along with some good oldies, I decided to come up with friends card. The idea started when I saw a jar of honey in one of the new bee stamps and I thought that would be a perfect idea for the Atlas Mason Jar die set. So I pulled that out along with the Atlas Jar clear stamp and the new bees and came up with this. The jar was actually fun to color and the hardest part was coming up with that golden honey color. When searching the internet for actual pictures of honey, I discovered there are many, many different colors of honey. That was new to me! So I ended up just picking the one that appealed to me the most. Once that was done I picked out my three favorite bees and then the rest of the card came together.

Have you moved recently?

If you’ve moved recently, or had some help moving a large object, then maybe you’re in need of a thank you card for those valuable heavy lifters. I created this card using the Fill-A Stuff Jam Packed clear set inside the Fill-A Harvest Truck and the new Many Thanks Word die set from Whimsy Stamps. Plus a lot of other things too. The colors on this card appeal to me so I don’t think I use orange often enough. The orange and teal turns out to be a nifty color combo. And how about those two cats? I thought they were fun to add. 🙂

Let’s give thanks

The cards I make the most are for birthday so it helps me to make gratitude cards when there are new thank you dies to work with. This release you have multiple options to choose from too! This card uses the new Thank You So Much Word die plus a few other fun things to create a sweet thank you card. However, I think the swan from the Party Animal Balloons clear set is what adds “character” to the card. <pun totally intended. lol>

A happy camper

I’ve been a very happy camper this week and enjoyed creating this card using the Gone Camping set from Whimsy Stamps. This was such a fun and easy card to put together with very minimal coloring too. I love the feel of this one which brings in essences of cool temperatures, picnics and post cards. I think it would be fun to have a vintage camper like this one. Camping is the best!

Desert Stack

No that didn’t say dessert stack… this is a desert stack. As in hot and dry but cute little animals. From the Animal Tiles Desert Unexpected Wonder clear set, the ones I chose to featured on this card is a jackalope, desert ringtail, cactus flower and a baby pygmy owl. I thought it would be fun to stack them up to create this A2 sized card. These little tile animals are so fun to color and can be arranged in various ways. My favorite is to tile the images 3 across and 4 down and to tile the whole card. 😉 Do you have a favorite?

There’s cake right?

I don’t work with purple very often but somehow ended up with this pink and purple frog that I needed to create a card for. This was one of those cards that I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out or what my next step was going to be. Do you ever have that happen? So I took it one step at a time and ended up with this. The final piece was adding the cheesecloth which softened the colors in the background enough for my eyes. I actually liked how it turned out. It will be a fun birthday card for someone.
