Need a hand?

Hay neighbor, do you need a hand over there? I have a barrel full of tools and I’m on my way. This card uses the Fill a Stuff Jam Packed clear set and I combined it with the Fill a Wheel Barrel set to create the center focus. The rest of the card was created with a masculine focus and I stayed away from flowers, ribbons, glitter and other feminine stuff. However, sometimes I feel that means I can’t use ovals and light colors too – do you feel the same way? It’s hard sometimes to define what a masculine card should look like but I think this one kinda fits in that category.

Seas the day

When I drew the Ocean Tiles Seas the Day clear set, I knew I wanted to play around with that little tug boat. After all, it’s the one that saves the day for all the other boats, right?! So I create this card using just that little tike and had it pulling the sentiment through the water. Seas the day, it says! I enjoyed using the Curly Q’s Background to create moving water and the Extreme Postage die to give this a traveling exotic feel. This is one of my favorite cards this week.

Hello my friend

I’m back again with the new releases sharing one more card with the Sushi Time clear set. I had colored all the sushi friends twice and then spread them out between the cards. I thought for sure I was only going to get two cards out of it but it turns out I did three. Awesome! I love this simple design and the green scalloped border around the outside reminds me of a sushi take out box. What do you think?

Time to shine bright

These special mushrooms are shining brightly together today and also in my heart. I decided to add three little mushrooms to represent my kids and the larger one represents me. This would be a card that I send to someone special like their grandma – just like it says on the card. 😉 This was one of those cards that I had one plan when I started but by time I finished, it turned out completely different. Sometimes mistakes turn out to create something even better.

Let’s Roll

It’s time to let the good time roll and these sushi friends are doing just that. I even have one on a wobble spring for kinetic action which you can see in the second photo. Color is the one thing that usually draw my attention and on this one I was surprised at how much green that I used. However, being sushi, I think that it worked out great. I love the little splashes of colors from the salmon and the sun (which, by the way is my favorite so if you don’t have it you need to get the Up in the Clouds die set). My second favorite was the Curly Q’s Background background – I love those swirls!!

I miss you

Does your world get a little bit gray when your loved one is away? I wanted to try and caption that feeling with this card so I colored the flowers in monochrome black and white then added just a few details of Red to draw in your attention. Have you been drawn in yet and looking at those red areas? Well now the surprise happens when you pull the tab around in a circle to reveal your inner thoughts – and the flower turns from a melancholy gray to a vibrant purple and blue! Our loved ones color our world more than we know. This set uses the new Magic Wheel die set in combination with the Good Luck Flowers clear set as the main focal points.
