Girl Watering Strawberries

This is the newest stamp in the shop, Girl Watering Strawberries. I thought this was such a fun image to color and there are so many possibilities with colors especially when starting with the watering can. My first thought was yellow or green. However, I spotted some strawberry paper in my stash so I decided to color it red. From there, I continued to pull in colors from the decorative paper until for my color choices. I can’t wait to color this one again!

Girl with Sunflowers

Here’s another new stamp in the shop called Girl with Sunflowers. When I started drawing her, I didn’t really like how it was coming along. It wasn’t until after I colored her that I started to really like her. I think it was the blue plaid dress with the yellows that really brings it all together. I colored this one three different times so I could layer it. I didn’t enjoy cutting around the sunflowers but the effect made it worth it.

Girl Balancing

Three new stamps have been added to the shop this week and this is one of them. This is Girl Balancing and I thought she would be great in a scene out in the woods having an adventure. Of course, I can see her balancing on all sorts of things or just frolicking around with an active imagination. I colored this one mostly with Copic markers but then brought out the Artxx acrylic markers for the grasses and yellow flowers.

Sky Skunk

I’m so sad – this is my last card that I have colored and ready to post. I guess that means I need to get busy again drawing and coloring! This is Sky Skunk and I colored him by himself with some bubbles and grass to create a background. I love the gingham paper pattern and this one has turned out to be one of my favorites.

In the shop, if you add Sky Skunk, Skunk with Daffodil and Skunk Love in your basket then you qualify for a 3 for 2 discount and get Skunk Love for free! Just make sure they are all three in your cart before you check out.

Donkey Sheriff

Yeeha! This happy little donkey is Donkey Sheriff and is available now in the shop. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to color the hanker chef blue with paisleys or go for a traditional red – of course you can see I went with the red. I colored the background with a warmer climate in mind and imagine him prancing down the path from town to town. But I think she is adventurous and would enjoy any climate! I hope this has inspired you and thanks for stopping by.

Duck Luau

Here’s another new stamp in the shop called Duck Luau – I colored it after the Hawaiian goose, the nēnē. Technically this is a goose but can be colored up as any duck or bird. For the scene, I set her upon the beach with palm trees and gentle waves. I love the water, sky and shore side of the scene but not so much the trees and beach side. However, I learned a few things that I can do better next time so that’s how the process works. Happy luau!
