Christmas Zombies Caleb & Levi

We’re opening another challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges and this time it’s Anything Goes!!  The design team is using the Christmas Zombies and I merged them together with some other images and created this fun scene…

Are you ready for all the images?  First there are three images from Simply B Stamps in the foreground which are Rudolph Head Caleb, Rudolph Tail Levi and Artist London.  Then the background are Paris Elements in a pre-merged scene from Make it Crafty named Cafe de Paris Scene.  I loved using the canvas on Artist London and the ideas are limitless.  😀

I’ve colored Caleb and Levi once before and de-zombiefied them which also turned out cute – these two are great either way!  LOL  The card I made with this can be seen HERE but you can see the colored image below as they figure out how rudolph works.  But that’s not all, I have them HERE and HERE in their full zombi glory on a couple of journal pages I created!!  😀

I hope you get a change to also visit the Simply Challenged Challenges blog to see what the oter girls have made for this challenge – they’re awesome!  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have started out your week with none of those Monday Blues!  This is my (and my kids’) last week of summer which I’m pretty bumbed about.  😦  If only I had another month.  But o’well, school must go on!!

Who’s Out There Ali

Here’s a project I have for the Simply Challenge Challenges this week, which is a little on the late side, but better late than never.  LOL  Anyway, the challenge theme is “Let’s Go Camping” and I found the perfect combination to work with.  Check out the SCC Blog for more inspiration too.

For my project I started with Who’s Out There Ali, from Simply B Stamps, and I really wanted to focus on the flashlight.  So for that I thought it would be best to color the whole image in so it could really shine.  However, each time I got a color out, I had forgotten about my plans and ended up coloring the spot that should have been left white!  Eeek!  Lucky for me, the Blender pen came to my rescue and was able to fix my mistake.  LOL

For the background, I stumbled across Dragon Ruins from Make it Crafty and knew it would be perfect!  I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out but after adding the blue sky and stars it really completed the scene.  The stars were added with a white gel pen.

The sentiment I found was from Tim Holtz (I think) and makes me cuckle when I put all the emlements together.  It says “The journey awakens the soul” and  completes the scene.  😀  I hope you enjoyed my project and thanks for coming by today!  Have a great Monday!

Everyday Emo Christian

It’s the first week in August and that means another challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges and today I’m the hostess of this challenge!  I picked something that I desperately need in my stash at all times…boy teen birthday cards! LOL  However, for the actual theme it’s “Birthday for a Teen!” We want to see your birthday creations with a teen in mind. 😀

For my project I used Everyday Emo Christian from Simply B Stamps and also the Say Cheese set from Lawn Fawn. This was my first time using the polaroid frame and I really like how it turned out. It changes all the smooth round lines from a diecut into a blockish look which is suited best for boy cards.

Now that I have this finished and added to my box… I have about three weeks before it will get used and I’ll be back at square one with none! LOL Hmmm… it always happens that way, doesn’t it?! Anyway, thanks for dropping by and I hope you’re having a fantastic summer!

Summer Zombie Teen Miller

Hay there Simply B fans!  We’re starting another challenge today and it’s from the 12 Months of Halloween!  This month the theme is “Monsters Hitting the Beach” and I’ve used Summer Zombie Teen Miller for the occasion.  😀  If you remember last time I used him it was the “before” becomging zombied as I had de-zombified him.  Now you can see him enjoying himself as a zombie too. LOL

The background is The Beach from Make it Crafty and Summer Zombie Teen Miller was added super large to make it look like the beach really was in the background.  It also allowed me to focus a little more on the character with all his zombie fresh parts.

Thanks for dropping by and be sure to head on over to the SCC Blog to see all the other fantastic inspiration!  Also you’ll want to be sure to keep an eye on that blog as we’ve got some great things planned next week.  😀

Miss Betty Burton

There is a new challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges and the design team have all pulled together and used Miss Betty Burton on their projects today!!  She is one of my favorites so I was excited to see her come up on the list… plus the theme is “Anything Goes” so I let the paper decide the direction instead of the theme.  😀  Check it out…

I started with picking out my paper this time around and tried to use some that I’ve neglected.  The brown sheet is actually one I’ve been trying to “save” since I loved it so much but that means in that paper pack that’s the one I have the most of now! LOL  It’s time to use it!  😀  The layout is is a challenge from Willow Sketchie Challenges which looked fun to use and the rest is history.

Thanks for stopping by!  Also be sure to visit the SCC Blog to see all the other ways she was used and get some inspiration of your own!

Pirate Maxine

We’re opening up another challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges today and the theme is Summer Fun!  The DT have featured images from the Funky Pirates at Simply Betty Stamps and have given their project a warm summery feel to them.  For my project I used Pirate Maxine which is one of my favorites in that line and I used some bright oranges to set the tone.

This image was so fun to color and I even got out my E4 Copic marker and added sharp lines.  I’m getting comfortable with the technique enough that I’ll probably do it on all my images (when I remember) since I like how the shadows turn out.  And did you notice my new watermark?  Betty put that together for me – thanks Betty!!  😀

I kept the card simple today but I made sure to add lots and lots of jewels!!  That’s what every girl needs, right?  LOL  Be sure to check out the rest of the team’s inspirational projects at the SCC Blog and let’s see what you Summer Fun projects you can come up with!!
