SS Perfect Christmas

I don’t have anything else to post but I do have pictures of a project I made back in December that I could share!  This card uses Swings ‘n Slides Perfect Christmas from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and used items from my scrap pile to create it.  In hindsight, it would have been adorable to add white crisscross pattern to his shirt to match the paper!  I’ll just have to do that before I send it out in the mail.  ;D  Some great ideas happen in version two of a project.  Oh well.  Have a great weekend!

SS Ring Out Those Bells

Do you think it’s too early for some Holiday Cheer?  Ok, so I won’t jump into a song and dance but I’ll at least show some winter inspiration using a Christmas stamp.  This is Swings ‘n Slides Ring Out Those Bells stamp drawn by Pollycraft and available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I used the rubber stamp version and some scrap papers to create this card…

The colors are brown and blue because I wanted it to be on the boyish side to match the image.  But then I used lace and pastels for the card and hoped that it looked more like the icy cold outside would look like.  Here are some close ups of the coloring…

I also used a little bit of the white gel pen to create highlights on the bell and berries.   It’s not cold outside but I hope this has warmed your hearts a little bit anyway.  😀

Celeste Amberglow Flowerpot

It’s our Super Saturday event and there are several new rubber stamps on sale at Little Miss Muffet Stamps including this cutie, Celeste Amberglow Flowerpot!  I had colored this image up a long, long time ago – in fact, this is the same one I used to create the graphics in the store when this image was first released!  So I feel good that I finally got around to placing her on a card and show her off.

The image I used is Celeste Amberglow Flowerpot from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.   She’d be perfect for a forget-me-not card, Mother’s Day or even a thinking of you card!  The card I created was trying to use up some of my scraps and I think I’m getting tired of those sheet – luckily I’m about the last one on this pack, if not the last one.  Yeah!

A while ago I set a goal to have all my colored images onto cards plus a couple goals on coloring the images that I had.  I made some progress but I think the goal was just a tad bit too big and I wasn’t able to get there.  But the good news is, that makes for more cards this year!!   LOL  Here are the stats if I decide to pick it back up again – or rather, to see how I’m progressing at the end of this year.

Catching up by 2014!

Clover New Beginnings

Happy New Year!  It’s so exciting to ring in the new year and as this post is going live, I’m probably still awake!  But who knows… I’m getting old and a couple of the last few years I fell asleep well before midnight.  LOL  Anyway, what a better project to show than one featuring a little baby from LMMS…

The image I used on this project is Clover New Beginnings from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and also the Birds on a Wire Metal Die from LMMS.  The image was drawn by Pollycraft and originally didn’t have the wings but I couldn’t resist adding a little bit of a fairy tale with the wings.  😀

A bunch of elements were used but I’m excited to finally add the button card to a project – it’s been a little something hanging out on my desk for a couple weeks but I could never get it to work.  This image plus the corduroy buttons both say “baby” to me and that’s how this project was “born.”  Ouch, bad pun, I know.  LOL  I hope this project has inspired you a little bit and thanks for coming by this year.  😀

Letter Chester

Tis the season for lots of holiday cards and this blog is no exception.  We’re having a small break from our regular DT duties at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and instead we’re sharing projects to inspire you!  This is our Inspiration Week 1 and the ladies on the DT have done an exceptional job – they’re amazing!  For my project, I wanted to make something that wasn’t green and found this fun decorative paper in my stash – I thought the red, blue and black combination was perfect and this is what I ended up with…

For my project I’ve used Letter Chester rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  The stamp also comes with a coordinating postage stamp and I used that on the red cardstock behind Chester.  Without it, the red was just a tad bit overbearing and I think the extra stamp helped tone that down.

You can get this rubber stamp in the LMMS Store and make sure you visit the LMMS Store Blog for a whole lot more of holiday inspiration to get your creative juices going!  Happy Holidays and be safe!

SS Deck the Halls

It’s been a busy season around here as I’m sure it has been for you too!  However, I’ve noticed that with all my running around and helping here and there, that I really haven’t had a lot of music playing in the background.  The odd thing is, I’ve had a constant jingle of Christmas music in my head!  Practically everything I’ve listened to growing up, at school, in the car, at functions and parities and even in the super markets – those songs are played over and over and over again to the point that this year, I don’t even need the radio. LOL  Maybe I should find something new to listen to… you know, to mix things up a bit.  But enough of that, here’s a project I made coloring up one the new Swings ‘n Slides Christmas images this year…

This image is Swings ‘n Slides Deck the Halls from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I thoroughly enjoyed coloring her up!  I can’t say much for my card as I don’t like the paper nor the layout, but the coloring part was fun.  And check out that red dress… it almost looks velvety!  I might have to experiment with that some more.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little bit of inspiration and have a wonderful day!
P.S.  Now I’ve started signing Deck the Halls in my head too.  LOL
