Sonny Honeycloud Shopping

Lately I’ve been working on a few goals and one of theme is to get all my “draft” posts into “scheduled” mode.  When I made the goal, I didn’t realize how much work it would be!  LOL  But on the other side of things, it’s been nice to have inspirational posts automatically pop up on my blog even on days when I prefer to slough from the craft room.  He he he

Here’s a couple links that I’ll share, the first one being the image I used on this project which you can find in the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store.  And the second link is to the LMMS blog and LMMS gallery where you’ll find lots of other inspiration using these images!

LMMS Blog and Gallery

Here’s a close up of this adorable image drawn by Pollycraft!  I’ve colored this image before but this time I changed a few things and I think I like this version better.  🙂  First, the classes on her head are now reading glasses instead of sunglasses and second, the shopping bags have a stripped pattern.  So cute!

For the card, I used a simple layout but then started adding a bunch of odds and ends including the diectus and wire clothes hanger.  After all, she’s going to need that hanger when she gets home!  LOL

Swings ‘n Slides Carousel

Here’s another carnival themed card I made this week exclusively for the sale happening at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!!  All these fun carnival themed rides, games and sentiments are on sale now but you’ll probably also want to pick up a few of the characters too – they’re perfect together and you’ll find many uses for them individually as well.  ;D

These two images are the Swings ‘n Slides Carousel and Swings ‘n Slides Carnival Sentiments from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  They’re adorable to use with fun bright colors and work well for all types of celebrations including birthdays, kids cards and in your scrapbooks too!  The sentiment says “you make my world go round” and has fun arrows and hearts.

On this project I added some clouds using the simple tutorial I created a while back which was a great complement to the carousel ride.  It reminds me of all the sunny days when we go to the carnival – I guess because if it’s raining the carnivals are usually closed.  LOL

I almost colored each of the horses different but I decided since my paper was kinda busy that I would keep the horses simple.  But that’s okay too because there’s something magical about white horses – don’t you think?

Hook a Duck

I have a couple carnival themed projects to show off this week because you don’t wan to miss out on the sale and they’re so much fun to color!!  The sale this week is at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and you can find all the Swings ‘n Slides carnival sentiments and background at a huge discount – this is a one time deal and is for a limited time.  So don’t dawdle and jump on over to the LMMS Store to grab yours today!!

The images on this project are Swings ‘n Slides Hook a Duck and also the Swings ‘n Slides Carnival Sentiments (which also includes the little banner you see on the bottom right) from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  The sentiment I used for this one says “hooked on you” and I stamped it on a ticket stub then colored it to match the rest.

For this card, since Hook a Duck was a carnival game, I thought it would be fitting to add the little round maze game too!  I punched a hole in the top of the card so the maze could be on the inside.  Then I used the punched out circle for the backing in the maze.  The maze comes with two steel balls and I think that is in case you loose one, however, I always like to keep them both in which makes the game a bit harder.  He he he

One of the best parts about these images is that I can use bold and bright colors!  These are colors I’d normally stay away from but when I find the right image they become a lot of fun to use.  These colors were pulled from the decorative paper I used and mostly from the one with the bikes.  There’s just about all the main colors… red, orange, yellow, green and blue.

Here’s a close up of the sentiment that I stamped on the ticket stub.  This stub was designed for journaling in your scrapbooks but I tore it in half to use on here then punched a day and month to make it look “authentic!”

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project and remember these images are on sale exclusively at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!!  Click on the Swings ‘n Slides theme or search for Carnival at the top – there are many to choose from but I know you’re going to want them all!!  😀

SS Ferris Wheel

It’s Super Saturday at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today we have a freebie available in the store as well as the spotlighted rubber stamps at a discount for the week!  This week, the spotlight is on both of the Swings ‘n Slides Carnival Sentiments which are perfect for the character and rides in this theme.  I always think they make great birthday cards but there are also some that would work for other themes too like parties, summer, holidays and patriotic projects too!

The image on this project is Swings ‘n Slides Ferris Wheel and a matching Swings ‘n Slides Carnival Sentiments both from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  I love how the rides, sentiments and characters work well together and there are several combinations.

When I started, I knew I wanted to use this shaker element so I designed the card around how that would work.  I initially had the shaker element on the inside of the card with a hold cut in the font but had some problems with my placement so I ended up with the easier route and placed it on the front of the card.  Then I stamped the Ferris Wheel image twice, once for the backing and once for the overlayer – this way I could hide the edges of the shaker part.

I filled the shaker with Dew Drops, microbeads and a party charm.  The stamps were stamped in brown instead of black which I think matched the papers better.  I think the black would have stood out too much for the subtle look I was going for.

The rubber stamps can be found in the LMMS Store and don’t miss out on the discount this week on the sentiments too!  Also head on over to the LMMS Store Blog to see what the freebie is for today and inspiration using all of these stamps today.

Retro Chester

If you’re a Chester fan you’ll want to make sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store this week and pick up Cool Chester at a discount and then check out all the other Chester images that will fall into your basket.  ;D  He’s such a fun loving monkey and great for boy cards too!

This image is Retro Chester and if you don’t know what that things is behind him, you might want to ask your parents.  LOL  But for the rest of us… we’ll have to grab out our old mix tapes and give them a listen for memory lane sakes. The odd thing now days, is I see the large ear phones are coming back in style.  It’s true!!  I guess the little ear buds aren’t as obvious of a “do not disturb” me message as these would be.  For me, however, I find the ear buds to be quite uncomfortable and so I’m glad I don’t stand out as an oldie for wearing the earphones.  😀

If you haven’t noticed this little snake on there, then you’ll want to take a second look.  This is an object lesson for my kids on “what happens when you leave your lego toys around the house!”  I know, I’ll always be picking up the little bricks as I step on them, but sometimes, such as this little snake, they find their way on to something other than the toy table!  LOL

Have you used Wobbles yet?  This card does and that’s why the above image is blurry to show the “wobble” action.  Music… wobble… jammin’ … yep, it all goes together!   You can see other cards I’ve created using the Wobble springs too by clicking HERE.  I’ve created a Label them!  😀

Cool Chester

Ready for another Super Saturday over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps?  There is a freebie over to check out and I’m going to show off the spotlighted image which is on sale this week.  This is Cool Chester rubber stamp comes with the sunglasses accessory and was such a fun card to color.  The ice cream cone, especially can be of any flavor… yum!

This rubber stamp is Cool Chester drawn by Pollycraft and available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  It comes in a set of two with the sunglasses which I’ve stamped twice to add as an embellishment.  I wanted to make a boy card so I went with a bold red and a subtle blue mixed in with a little yellow.  I had a little bit of trouble with the browns I was coloring with but maybe I can pass it off as a fur texture?!  LOL

Make sure to visit the LMMS Store Blog for other inspiration using this image as well as projects that use the freebie for today.  Then you can find both of them in the LMMS Store!  Ciao!
