Sensational, magnificent, spectacular, stupendous and exceptional – this card using Polka Dot Pals Tobias is all of that and more! I had a lot of fun creating this card and using a warm color pallet to create this celebratory card. I really like that it can be used for any occasion especially since I occasionally need a congratulatory card. Read below for more details on how I created this card using these featured products:

The character is Polka Dot Pals Tobias and the background is made up of several sentiments from other Polka Dot Pals sets. I wanted the bottom to be blank but it looks like I can fit two more words on there with this type of layout… but that’s for another card. I picked the words with celebration and excitement. Then I used the Sun Rays Stencil to bring it all together and help make this one-layer card more interesting. One-layer cards are sometimes difficult for me but I’m happy how this turned out.

Today is sensational! It’s also a new release day at Whimsy Stamps and today I’m showcasing the accessory stamps in Polka Dot Pals Tobias. This fun set is all about celebrations and surprises. Keep reading for more details on how I created this card using these featured products:

I decided I wanted to create a bright celebration card for a birthday which meant I needed to use a rainbow of colors. So I started coloring at the top of the image with the red star and worked down the rainbow to the purple. I then kept the box simple and colored that in black and white. The way I colored Polka Dot Pals Tobias worked well with the Rainbow Paper Pack.
When creating the card, I used an action wobble behind the stars. I thought having movement would simulate the stars jumping out of the box and add an extra element. The last accessory stamp was the tag and I thought it would be whimsical to attach that to the sentiment.

Polka Dot Pals Uzuri from Whimsy Stamps

I have a second card that I’ve create for new release using Polka Dot Pals Uzuri. This one uses the snowman and bird accessory stamps to be the main focus. Continue reading for more details on how I used these key products:

I drew the snowman in this set thinking that Polka Dot Pals Uzuri had made a bunch of snow balls and was pulling them accross the park to build it in the corner. Of course, there was some jossling along the way but it looks like she knows what she is doing, right?
I colored the bird red to bring in some bright contrasting color and then decided to carry on that theme with the letters and dots. For a sentiment, I used the stamps’ sentiment as inspiration and created the CHEER from Bold ABC Die and stamping them with the AlFaDoodles. I thought the styles worked well together.

Polka Dot Pals Uzuri from Whimsy Stamps

It’s a new release at Whimsy Stamps and today I have two sets featured – Polka Dot Pals Uzuri and Linking Train. Both are going to be awesome for the holidays and the Linking Train is also perfect for everyday and celebrations cards. This was such a fun card to create and it was also one of the more difficult ones. It’s out of my norm to use a title die like this, with the Comic Speech Bubbles, and laying it on top of a colored scene for Polka Dot Pals Uzuri. I was worried it wouldn’t look complete but it turned out so much better than I thought.
I had colored the images first and had planned to color Polka Dot Pals Uzuri in cool colors but honestly, I don’t know how I ended up with reds but I’m glad I did. I liked the result of the bright character against the soft cool background. I’ll mark that as a happy accident.

This card started with the Haunted Parlor in the background. I colored it with non-Halloween colors to make it looks like an old house with the browns and whites. The next step was to add my character. Polka Dot Pals Beau is sitting and she didn’t fit very well in the room and it looked awkward to me. So I stamped her head and then stamped the boy of Polka Dot Pals Colton so she would be standing in the foreground. I used the brush and step ladder accessories to help complete the scene.
