Spring Short Stack

This is a card that appeared to me in a dream and I had to jump out of bed to sketch it out.  The next day, I was happy that my sketch was legible enough to follow and I made this card using Spring Short Stack by Stampendous.

These are the Copic marks I used on this:
B000,m BG02, 53, 49
C0, 3, BV23
E41, 42, 43, 44, 49, R11

Spring Short Stack

Here’s a quick card that I made using the animal segments from Spring Short Stack by Stampendous. I figure since it’s the Year of the Dog that I need to color more dog stamps for good luck.  This card was inspired by the Splitcoast Stampers technique “Pop Out Card” by Kelly Jean.

These are the Copic markers I used on this card:
E42, 43, 44, 47
YR30, 24, Y23
BG11, 18, 57
T7, R12, BV23
T1, 3, 5
Below, this is the INSIDE of the card. I added a border around the edge because it was handy and added a little more color to the card.  This was a fun technique – thanks Kelly!

Animorphia Postcard Owl

I’ve been wanting to color some images by Kerby Rosanes and found a small booklet of Animorphia Postcards that were just the right size. I started out with the owl since I didn’t have to think about the colors too much.  My daughter said she’d finish the little doodles on the back if she could mail it so I thought that was a good deal.

Fergus with Bouquet

I’ve been working on putting all my colored images onto cards and I’m finally getting down to the bottom of my stack.  Again.  I have a tenancy to build up a stockpile and then repeat the process.

This card uses Fergus with Bouquet from Wild Rose Studio.  I colored it with the Marvy Le Plume markers then went with a bright and cherry color palette with the papers.  The raffle tickets are actually real ones that I had to save to see if my number was chosen.  It wasn’t.  But at least I can use them for a card and still get some benefit out of them.  He he he

Many Thanks

This is the first page in my travel journal, which is an old book titled “Poor Richard’s Almanac (Selections)” by Benjamin Franklin and printed around 1937-1940. It’s a small book and perfect for traveling… hence why I’ve been chilling in it while I travel. 🙂

This image is Many Thanks from Stampendous and is suited for the many thanks I’m sending out to Jane for helping me with watercolors! I stamped on the book directly with black ink and colored this one with watercolor tube paints. The paper is thicker than a normal book would be so it handled the water just fine. So far so good. 🙂 I hope to try a variety of things with the book but the best pay is to have fun.

Storybook Friends

Here’s one of the images I colored when Zoe was in town for a visit and thought it was a perfect theme, considering.  This is Storybook Friends by Tina Wenke from Stampavie.  I have a soft spot for any stamp that features reading so this was a simple must have on my wish list.  😀  I stamped it with black on kraft card stock then colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The card layout was kept simple with just a little doodling around the edges.

Thanks for coming by my blog today and have a wonderful summer day!
Enjoy a book or two. ;D
