It’s the last day of the Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces release. There have been some amazing projects uploaded by our Honored Guests and the Little Misses design team and today is no exception. Make sure to visit their pages and also on the LMMS Facebook group.

For my project I’ve used the Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces clear stamps on two different stamps, Little Toadstools digital stamp from Make it Crafty and Hot Sip rubber stamp by DoveArt Studio.  I have quite the mix going on!  LOL

The main stamp is Little Toadstools from Make it Crafty. One of the silly faces I used on the smaller mushroom actually has three eyes on the original stamp. However, after inking it, I used a cotton swap and wiped away the two outer eyes before I stamping. I thought a cyclops would be perfect and it helped narrow the face a little to fit better on the stem. The second face didn’t have half the pupils because that counterpart is on the Polka Dot Pals. This allowed me to change the position of the eyes a little. I think it makes him cuter.  😀

Colors were a hard choice and I was going to go with red and orange, but I decided something different would be fun so I went with green and blue. I was lucky to find some yellow decorative paper which was the perfect kind of color pow it needed.

These are the Copic colors I used:

E41, 42, 43, 44
B0000, 01, 52, 14
YG21, 01, 23, 05, 07
YG21, 01, 23, 05
T0, 1, 3, 5, 9, BV23
E04, 95, R02

Here’s my second project…

My second project uses the Add-on Faces on the Hot Sip by DoveArt Studio.  I thought a little face on this cuppa would make someone’s day.  I gave her puffy cheeks and a little heart.  Then I set the green up against browns to help give it a real center focus.

The Copic colors I used on this are:

YG25, 13, 01, 00, G20
BG07, 32, 11
C0, 1, 3, 5, 9
R12, 8, 2, 85, 46
E18, 11, E44

Roses of Love

I restocked some Make it Crafty stamps in the store but I splurged and kept one for myself.  This is Roses of Love colored on Gina K cardstock.  I wanted to focus on using Distress Inks for the background so I kept the rest of the card simple.

Distress Inks: Hickory Smoke, Iced Spruce, Bundled Sage And Peeled Paint
Copics: YG97, 95, 93, 91, V28, 25, 22, 20, BV11

I’d like to share this in the following challenges . . .

Spring Blue Birds Jena

I got around to coloring this stamp and decided to go for a Valentine theme.  After all, ’tis the season.  LOL.  This is Spring Blue Birds Jena from Make it Crafty. I was also able to use a few scraps and odds ‘n ends to complete the project.  The toughest one was the pink lace – it was only a 3″ strip but I was able to cut that in half.  He he he

Jr. Hatter Lilith

This project is all about friendship to me.  The image was colored with all my friends at the Texas Copic Retreat last year.  I believe this is my last image from the retreat to be put onto a card and shared – however, don’t quote me on that.  LOL.

The images used are Jr. Hatter Lilith from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and two from Make it Crafty, Spring Pebble Ground and Spring Fence

I mentioned it was cleared with all my friends, right?  Well, not only with them, but by them too!  This was a round robin style activity that we thought of.  Everyone stamped an image to color and pass around the room.  We all had a small amount of time to add something to the image before we passed it to the right.  Once the images traveled around the room and back to the owner, it was completely covered.

It was such a fun project and now we all have something that was colored by each of us.  I loved it!

MonztaGalz

Happy Halloween Eve!  I thought this would be a fitting project for today seems most of us are out haunting the neighborhood this weekend.  This is one of the MonztaGalz from Make it Crafty.  A portion of it was actually a previous project, Mini Gothilia, and was I used it as the main focus for this project.  I also used my spiders paper punch and the Skulls & Bones cutters die for embellishments.

Carefree Elise

This is Carefree Elise from Make it Crafty, but maybe you don’t recognize her. You don’t?  LOL.  I used some Creative Color Placement and took up Zoe’s Zombie Challenge.  Happy Halloween!

I made lots of transformations but first sketched it out on a second image.  Not all my ideas made it to the final project but that’s the way of things.  Here are a few things I did:  Her face was scratched by some beast and ripped her nose off and part of her chin.  She probably fed them to her pets or nibbled on it herself and this new look makes things easier to smell anyway.  I’m sure that her brains have been eaten and that’s where the snake are living – so she uses the hat to keep them from falling out.

Her skin is suppose to be a rotting green with some bruising.  I’m not sure that worked out but I think it’s putrid enough to pass as a Zombie.  Regardless, it’s rotting enough that she’s started using bandage wraps to keep herself together.  The bugs crawling around and the barbed wire were elements that I included to add to the creepy theme.  I wasn’t sure what to do with her eyes so I went with a bright green for a spot of color that would lure your attention.

The image was colored with Copics on printer paper; plus I used a pencil on the bandage to add the hash texture.  This is a digital stamp that I printed out at 90% lightness, but however light I put it, there are always residual printer dots.  On the real life project, these aren’t as pronounced as what I see in my photos. Hopefully you can see past that and enjoy the image.  Well, enjoy it as much as you could a Zombie image.  LOL
