Brooke

Welcome to the New Releases for Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I have four new girls for you this week, starting with Brooke and Melanie! Head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenges blog for all the new release inspiration by the design team.

For my project I used Brooke from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and placed her sitting on The Dock by The Pixie Cottage. All of the new girls this week are bare foot and ready for some spring frolicking on fresh new grass and splashing in the cool ponds.

I created this page using warm tones on the paper and some cool tones in the coloring to help it look like the first warm days of spring just setting in. This week we’ve had a good break in our relentless heat and it cooled down dramatically and it’s felt like spring all week – it’s been so nice!

The rest of the page was decorated with chippies from Make it Crafty, some twill tape from my stash and some flowers from Prima… oh yea, and a tag from Tim Holts finishes it off. Hope you like the new journal page and come check back tomorrow for another. ;D

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Monster Mission

Welcome to another fortnight challenge with Little Miss Muffet Challenges! This time we’re challenging you to create a project using Blues, Purples and Greens. Yes, we want to see all those cool colors in your project … and the more the better! 😀

For my project I used Monster Mission from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and create a page in my small journal book. When I started the page I didn’t have any plan and searched for anything blue, green or purple. When I found it then I used it until it looked finished. 😀 Needless to say, it was a fast page to put together.

I’d like to enter into the following challenges:

Paper Pretties Challenge #31 – Anything but a card
The Paper Shelter Challenge #29 – Anything goes

Update: I was featured on She’s Gone Digital Art Linking Journals!

School Turtle

It’s another release week for Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this time we have three stamps to feature today! For my project I used School Turtle and kept with the school theme – after all, school started in my neighborhood this week so that’s what is on everyone’s mind around here. 😀 I even found a few scraps of school decorative paper left over and came up with this journal page.

I loved the way Jane colored her last image with the wood floors and I wanted to give that a go. So on this image I used a black Copic pen to lightly draw in the boards. Then I colored it with E41-E44 and a little E31 and E33. It didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted it (a.k.a. just like Jane’s!) but it still turned out ok.

Of course I was looking for another reason to include a book with my drawings but lovely bouquet of pencils was directly inspired by the movie “You’ve Got Mail.” And finally the the turtle is for “luck” – I was always told to take a turtle with me while on a road trip for good luck and sometimes we all need some luck at school. 😀

Hope you like this tidbit of inspiration and don’t forget to head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog for more! We’re previewing School Turtle, Summer Monkey and another Suger ‘n Spice Doll… Paprika! Thanks for stopping by! 😀

Isabella and Belle

I’ve started another art journal! No, I haven’t finished my last one – just wanted to start a new size. ;D This one is really small and about the size of a jumbo trading card (3.5″x5″). I had intended this one to be simple and sans embellishments… but as you can see on the first page, I couldn’t resit adding a few. LOL

For this project I used Isabella and Belle from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which is the same one I colored for the release of this image. I just needed to find a project for her and get them settled down on paper.

The smaller size journal has been fun and this being the first page is a good start for myself. My goal is to fill it mainly with colored images and try not to focus on the layout or embellishments. I will, however, need to restrain myself from adding bulky items and keep it as flat as possible so it doesn’t fall over. ;D

I’d like to enter into the following challenges:

Die Cut Dreams Challenge #96 – pink, green, coffee colors
Crafts and Me Challenge #49 – lace
The Sisterhood of Crafters – flowers
Paper Creations Ink Challenge #7 – flowers

Hatters

Sometimes I get so wrapped up in writing up the challenge blog that I forget about my own post! LOL So I hope this isn’t coming up to late. ;D This week’s challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps is to use Multiple Images! We want to see what you can create with more than one image not including sentiments.

I created this journal page with all four of The HattersMelba Flora Hatter, Iris May Hatter,

Peggy Sue Hatter and Linda Lee Hatter.
I hadn’t planned it this way but it was nice that all four were printed out the same size and small enough to fit on the page. ;D I eve got to use some of my new papers, chippies, pearls and even some forgotten Magic Mesh.

I don’t remember if this is part of my first journal or my second one but the point it… they’re so much fun that I’m on my second book! The pages are super thick watercolor paper and there are 22 pages per journal. The first book I did over half then gave it to a friend to finish it up the remaining few pages. (Hint hint Zoe!!)

Emma & Mia

Welcome to another preview of Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Today I’m featuring two of the newest Wee Ones… Emma and Mia who are rocking out in my latest journal page! Come on over and check out all the other inspiration of these newest releases at the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog too. ;D

I used papers from DCWV and cut out cork starts from My Favorite Things Die-namics dies then proceeded to jazz it up with green gems and sticker tiaras. Yeah baby!!

I’ve noticed lately all of my journal pages have faux stitching around the outside edge and some sort of ribbon or horizontal line. I think in my mind this provides a stable balance to work on so I’ve got to start getting more creating with those elements! LOL Any ideas? Hope you like the project and all the New Releases from this week. Ciao!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
