Skelekinz Heart

I have a cute little project today using Skelekinz Heart and Birds on a Wire Metal Die from Little Miss Mufet Stamps.  This cutie was recently released as a rubber stamp.  The other day I was actually looking for Halloween paper to use but stumbled upon this red and black paper that popped out at me!  I knew I just had to use it!

I didn’t add very many colors and stuck with what was on the paper, red, pink, black and white.  Then I added a tiny bit of green for the grass and the eye. Then to match the theme of the decorative paper, I used the Birds on a Wire metal die and added an extra bird in flight by the embellishment.  😀

Graffiti Zowie

This is my little apology project I had to color to make up for the last urban graffiti project I had colored.   I feel much better about this one!  I also thought it would be fun to share graffiti terminology and I posted that on the Graffiti Party blog to share with every one… check it out by clicking HERE and add a few words to your vocabulary.  😀

Remember there is still time to get your urban graffiti project into the challenge for a chance to win several grand prizes!!  Check out the Graffit Party blog!

The Make it Crafty and Little Miss Muffet images I used on this project are as follows:

Graffiti Party

Here’s my attempt at creating a grunge rock band in the garage – and it may look ok, but this one is actually on my yuck list.  We’ve all got to have them right?  Well, this one is mine for the week.  I think it’s the colors of the background and wish I had done that differently.

The images I used on this project are many…  from Little Miss Muffet I used Graffiti Party and from Make it Crafty:  Drummer Dude, Rocker Dude, Rockstar Singer, and an element from the Paris Building Digi Elements to create the floor.

Then once I figured I had “lost” the image, I decided to see what a spotlight would look like and if I could add a disco ball effect… disco and grunge?  Yeah, I know, it’s just another example of a bad decision.  LOL  I don’t think the effect turned out well either but you can decide… for me it looks like it’s snowing.

It’ll probably make an ok boy card but I think I should have left it alone when I had the chance.  Calling it good and packing up my bag is something I need to work on.  😀

Hooked

I finally made a project with the Swings ‘n Slides Hooked image I colored for the 7 Colors challenge that Faye put out on LMMS FB group!  (Wow, that was a mouth full!  LOL)  So about two months ago Faye challenged me to color an image using only 7 colors.  Then about a month ago is when I started to get serious about it.   Yeah, I know, a month?!  Lucky for me, the gals on FB decided that the blender pen was more of an eraser than a color and was allowed.  So, 7 colors, but 8 markers.  Here’s the end result:

The image is Swings ‘n Slides Hooked from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  The colors I used are G46, W7, R17, E00, E59, YR31 and E23 plus the “eraser” too.  I chose this image because it gave me five large “blocks” that would show off the colors nicely.  And I wanted to use a lot of colors to be impressive too!  So picking out the colors was tedious because each color had to be used in multiple places.  For example, the green area has gray, green and yellow; and the red area has brown, red and yellow.  And oddly enough, the orange was the hardest color to squeeze out!

The dragonflies are chipboard accessories from Make it Crafty and Zoe also sent me the sandal charm.  Thanks Zoe!  And thanks Faye for the challenge too!  😀

Sunbonnet Strawberry Jam

What a day!  And oh, I’m so glad it’s over!  The kids are in bed and I can finally sit down and relax – not that they were any trouble, it’s just that the quiet time is sooo nice after a Saturday of playing.  LOL Anyway, I wanted to share this card and it’s one I’ve been excited about – I’ve made some peach jam this week and the whole time I had this stamp idea in my mind.  I couldn’t wait to try it.  😀

This image is Sunbonnet Strawberry Jam from Little miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Bugaboo.  The hat usually has seeds on it like a strawberry but after inking it up, I wiped them away with tissue.   Then with the seeds removed, I was able to color her peach for my peach jam.  😀
