Skelekinz Balloon

I have an inspirational post for you today which was featured on the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog.  I used Skelekinz Balloon rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, of course. She’s perfect for a little Valentine card I wanted to make but I’m sure I can use it for other occasions too.  ;D  I was even able to use some of my scraps of paper – that always feels like a bonus!  Hope you enjoy and thanks for dropping by.

Sunbonnet Strawberry Jam

We’re starting off the new year with a sketch challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges and this one is a fun one that we hope you’ll adore!  Challenge #76 goes for just about two weeks and we can’t wait to see what you create!  I thought it would be fun to start the year with a few of my favorite colors too… pink and chocolate brown.  😀

For my project I used Sunbonnet Strawberry Jam from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and colored it using the Marvy LePlume markers.  This is the image I colored along side with my daughter when she wanted to learn how to color with the “grown-up markers”.  😀  She did a wonderful job and I think I’ve posted it on this site before!

The project was assembled using the sketch as a guide then I added the cream canvas like ribbon and twine.  I wanted to use the micro-beads so this give me the opportunity to tie a little bottle on.  It’s only now that I realize it could be little jar of strawberry jam!

Be sure to pop on over to the LMM Challenge blog and check out all the other Little Misses’ projects – they’re fabulous!  Each of them did a fantastic job with this sketch and I love the diversity!

Clover New Beginnings

Happy New Year!  It’s so exciting to ring in the new year and as this post is going live, I’m probably still awake!  But who knows… I’m getting old and a couple of the last few years I fell asleep well before midnight.  LOL  Anyway, what a better project to show than one featuring a little baby from LMMS…

The image I used on this project is Clover New Beginnings from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and also the Birds on a Wire Metal Die from LMMS.  The image was drawn by Pollycraft and originally didn’t have the wings but I couldn’t resist adding a little bit of a fairy tale with the wings.  😀

A bunch of elements were used but I’m excited to finally add the button card to a project – it’s been a little something hanging out on my desk for a couple weeks but I could never get it to work.  This image plus the corduroy buttons both say “baby” to me and that’s how this project was “born.”  Ouch, bad pun, I know.  LOL  I hope this project has inspired you a little bit and thanks for coming by this year.  😀

Polka Dot Pals Neva

If you’ve been following Make it Crafty on FaceBook you might have seen everyone share their Christmas Trees on that page.  There area so many gorgeous trees out there that I almost felt the urge to redecorate mine in a different style.  But I was saved because the kid’s already decorated it and there was no way I was going through all *that* again!  LOL  Anyway, if you posted your picture then Zoe generously sent out images to share in the Christmas giving spirit and one of those images was this stack of Christmas Pressies.  I love that they’re versatile for all occasions but I decided I wanted to go all out Christmas!

The image I paired it up with is also a freebie that can be earned at Little Miss Muffet Stamps named Polka Dot Pals Neva.  I had colored her face and added a cheek and nose tutorial in the LMMS FB group for those who want to give your beadie-eyed-friends a little more character.  😀  I hope to post another one for eyes but with Zoe’s challenge a while back, I think many have already experimented with those.  For this image I did an impromptu step-by-step coloring guide which you can also find in the LMMS FB group.

The stack of presents were colored mainly in reds, greens and white and the character was done in blues and pinks.  To help bring the images together I added a bit of blue and pinks to some of the outer packages then made sure to add reds to the package she was holding.  Finally I assembled the card (trying) to use the December Make it Crafty sketch – however, the image was so large that I ended up jumbling up the pieces and making something else work.

Lastly, I added some embellishments that I hadn’t used in a while including the chipboard, micro beads and cheesecloth.  The card is still reasonably flat so mailing it is still an easy possibility.  I hope you’ve enjoyed this bit of inspiration and thanks for checking out my project!  😀

Fancy Sunbonnet Christmas

We’re taking a little break this holiday season with our challenges but that doesn’t mean we’re not crafting!  LOL   Instead today we’re sharing more inspiration from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and we’re allowed to create anything we want.  This is Inspiration Week 2 and sometimes they’re the best as our creativity can run wild.  Of course, I went with something in season and created this holiday card…

The image I used is Fancy Sunbonnet Christmas and a coordinating sentiment stamp from one of the other Sunbonnet stamps; both from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  These Sunbonnet images bring back warm memories of my childhood and watching my Mom quilting so they’re some of my favorites!

Thanks for coming by and I hope everyone enjoys the loot they received this year!  You can pick up this rubber stamp in the LMMS Store and don’t forget to visit the LMMS Store Blog for more fabulous inspiration from the design team – the projects are worth the time!  😀

Letter Chester

Tis the season for lots of holiday cards and this blog is no exception.  We’re having a small break from our regular DT duties at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and instead we’re sharing projects to inspire you!  This is our Inspiration Week 1 and the ladies on the DT have done an exceptional job – they’re amazing!  For my project, I wanted to make something that wasn’t green and found this fun decorative paper in my stash – I thought the red, blue and black combination was perfect and this is what I ended up with…

For my project I’ve used Letter Chester rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  The stamp also comes with a coordinating postage stamp and I used that on the red cardstock behind Chester.  Without it, the red was just a tad bit overbearing and I think the extra stamp helped tone that down.

You can get this rubber stamp in the LMMS Store and make sure you visit the LMMS Store Blog for a whole lot more of holiday inspiration to get your creative juices going!  Happy Holidays and be safe!
