Skelekinz For You

This is Skelekinz For You available in rubber from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which I thought would make a great Mother’s day or sweetheart card.  I stamped him in black on Kraft cardstock then colored him with my pencils.  One of the many reasons I love to use rubber stamps because I can stamp them anywhere and on anything.  🙂

I kept the colors simple and the coloring minimal, trying to use the Kraft part of the light or midtone colors.  Then I drew around the edge with my pen to create a border.  I actually had something else on the card but really didn’t like it, so I covered it with decorative paper and then stamped a sentiment on top of that.  The heart I also colored in using the pencils as well as the chippie dragonfly embellishments.  Then I added some swirls and called it done!

SS Perfect Christmas

I don’t have anything else to post but I do have pictures of a project I made back in December that I could share!  This card uses Swings ‘n Slides Perfect Christmas from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and used items from my scrap pile to create it.  In hindsight, it would have been adorable to add white crisscross pattern to his shirt to match the paper!  I’ll just have to do that before I send it out in the mail.  ;D  Some great ideas happen in version two of a project.  Oh well.  Have a great weekend!

SS Ring Out Those Bells

Do you think it’s too early for some Holiday Cheer?  Ok, so I won’t jump into a song and dance but I’ll at least show some winter inspiration using a Christmas stamp.  This is Swings ‘n Slides Ring Out Those Bells stamp drawn by Pollycraft and available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I used the rubber stamp version and some scrap papers to create this card…

The colors are brown and blue because I wanted it to be on the boyish side to match the image.  But then I used lace and pastels for the card and hoped that it looked more like the icy cold outside would look like.  Here are some close ups of the coloring…

I also used a little bit of the white gel pen to create highlights on the bell and berries.   It’s not cold outside but I hope this has warmed your hearts a little bit anyway.  😀

Happy Birthday Faye!

This is a project I’ve drawn and created for a special friend on her very special day – it’s Faye’s birthday today and I hope she’s celebrating in style!  I even dragged out my colored pencils and tried to do something different.  😀  So if you know Faye, or just like wishing someone Happy Birthday, then head on over to her blog and wish her a very Happy Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAYE!!

The Little Misses have also gotten together and posted a bunch of inspiration using this image on the Little Miss Muffet Blog.  I didn’t have my project finished when the post when live, so you got a preview over there and the full project here.  The image is Polka Dot Pals Faye and was inspired by Faye herself… especially the glitter portion.  She actually “glitter bombed” me in the mail and I literally got glitter everywhere – yikes!  So take her seriously when she says she’s going to put glitter on your desk… no matter where you live!  LOL

Among other things, Faye is an awesome gal and I’m so grateful to have her as a friend.  Thank you for all that you do too and I hope you’re having a magical day!  *Hugs

Sunbonnet Strawberry Sitting

While I’ve been working with kraft paper, I thought I would pull out the pencils again and this time I’ve colored Sunbonnet Strawberry Sitting available in rubber at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I went all out with the colors and really wanted something to pop.  So in stead of leaving part of the kraft paper as a color, I used a lot of bright colors and filled it all in.  This was so fun to work with red in a non-holiday sense and I love how the strawberry and her dress turned out!  😀  I hope you like it too!

Polka Dot Pals Leilani

We have an inspiration blog post at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today and I wanted to display the card I used the for the Cheeks & Nose Tutorial.   I still have the other sheet that I used and was thinking about an eye tutorial… but… maybe another day when I have some more time.  It’s still on my desk, however, so maybe. In the mean time, here’s a warm seasoned Christmas card…

I used Polka Dot Pals Leilani and Palm Christmas Tree, both from Little Miss Muffet Stamp.  The colors were grabbed from a spring paper pad that I have plus a bit of green scraps to help bring in the Christmas colors.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a great week!
