Polka Dot Pals Vickie

Today, Little Miss Muffet Stamps is sponsoring Cards und More Challenges.  The challenge theme is to use “no pattern paper.”  I had to think about that for a while because it’s usually my first go to item.  But hopefully I managed and was happy with how the card turned out.  🙂

I used Polka Dot Pals Vickie and colored in some wings and a detailed eye.  I was going for a more Halloween vibe for a little coloring fun this season.  Thanks for coming by – I hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Grandpa’s Calendar

I’ve created a project for the challenge that is starting up today at Little Miss Muffet Challenges.  The theme is “One for the Boys” and I’ve used Grandpa’s Calendar for this project.  I had fun coloring this one and wanted to try coloring grandpa with big huge eyes behind those magnifying glasses.  LOL.  I think he looks adorable.  :).  It felt good to get the colors out and with school starting again, I hope to get them out again.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Dexter Gives

I can’t say that I’m ready for Christmas but every once in a while it’s fun to color something out of the season.  This one was just perfect for the day and it allowed me to play with some other colors that I normally wouldn’t pick.  I’ve used Dexter Gives and the full recipe is below.  For some more inspiration today, check out what the Little Misses have created.  Enjoy!

Broasca Frog

I’m back in town for the summer and what a whirlwind – I loved it!  I was even lucky enough to skip out on some of the hottest days in Texas while I was enjoying the more cooler weather up north.  Bliss!

As a welcome back into the internet, I thought I’d get right into posting a project I created.  This one uses Broasca Frog and I had fun coloring him with vibrant greens and blue eyes.  I kept the project simple and focused on the techniques of coloring and mixing colors.  I like how he turned out and I even have the color combos to share, which are listed below in the recipe.

Jr. Hatter Frankie

Welcome! Today Little Miss Muffet Stamps is sponsoring a special young girl, Cassandra, who is deaf. She also happens to be my 11-year-old daughter and one of my muses when drawing images. She attends a public school and has asked for real-time captioning (RTC). RTC is where a captionist will type up what is spoken in class and display it on a tablet so she can read information that she has missed. Without it, she struggles every day and has to guess at the meaning of half-heard words and sentences.

This event is to raise awareness and to spread the word. You can read more about her story HERE and sign the petition HERE. For each signature we receive, the school administrators receive and email regarding our request. I hope you can help me fill their inboxes!

To support this petition, and to spread the word, Little Miss Muffet Stamps has released a dozen New Images to play with.
Plus Polka Dot Pals Rosalie is a freebie in the store for everyone to join in. We’d love to see what you’ll create… but more importantly, we hope you can help Cassandra by signing the petition and spreading the word.

You are welcome to send words of encouragement:

This is the project I’ve made for today using Jr. Hatter Frankie.  I used a simple design with twine and a chipboard dragonfly from Make it Crafty.  Then I had fun with the colors – especially the puppy.

Polka Dot Pals Yang

Here’s a card I’ve been saving up to share.  This mini card was created to show what you can do with the little gift you’ll currently receive when placing a rubber stamp order.  I wanted to include something that you could use and this is what I created with my supplies.  The girl, Polka Dot Pals Yang, and the books, Cupcake ‘n Books, were masked and stamped then colored to match the supplies.  This was inspired by a card Faye created and the freckles on Yang’s face was inspired by an image Zoe colored.  Thanks ladies for your inspiration!
