Skelekinz Pumpkin

Happy Halloween Eve to everyone out there and whether you celebrate Halloween or not perhaps this cutie with a pumpkin will be right down your favorite spooky alley!  I’ve used Skelekinz Pumpkin rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps on this project and created a page in my trading card journal.  This one has all my favorite embellishments lately including the spiders (from a mini punch), the wood sentiment and a bat charm (that I clipped off the loop).  Scruff up the edges and add some doodles and it’s complete!  Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoy this bit of inspiration.

Skelekinz Devil

It’s the weekend before Halloween and we’re busy decorating the house and having themed parties with our friends.  The kids have really gotten into it this year and so it’s made it all that much more fun to create these Halloween cards!  😀  This one uses Skelekinz Devil rubber stamps from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I reached into the back of the cabinet for some Halloween papers and spooky eyes to help embellish this card.  Then A few things from around the table such as the ribbon, staples and Hello sentiment… and some spiders from my favorite tiny punches.  Added some doodles and this little devil is ready so greet you in your mailbox!  Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful spooky weekend!

Skelekinz Haunted House

I had some fun experimenting tonight and was actually able to color AND make a card!  I wasn’t sure how I was going to get through it but it all comes back when ya need it.  🙂  The image I used was Skelekinz Haunted House rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I started with the tree stencil in the background and really wanted to do something with that.  I used a sponge ink pad to apply the gray, heavily at the top then fading to nothing at the bottom.  I then stamped the Haunted House (which might have been easier to stamp first and mask it.  LOL)  Luckily the colors and position of the house worked out.  Then I applied some doodles around the edge which I’m picking up from Faye at the moment.  🙂  After that, everything else was hit and miss embellishments.

Behind the layered cardstock is cheesecloth with some spiders that I punched out of black paper.  I used puff paint to give them orange eyes.  The stars are brads that I stuck randomly around the top and then I added Baker’s twine at the bottom to ground it all.  Finally the pumpkin charm that has been waiting around for the year was finally selected and I added orange micro-beads in the holes for some color.  Tadah!

Fancy Sunbonnet Patriotic Flag – Switzerland

The challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges this round is about making your project small, as small as an artist trading card (ATC) or even smaller.  This is the perfect opportunity to pull out my ATC Journal!  For this project I’ve used Fancy Sunbonnet Patriotic Flag (with a blank flag) and the new Marine Creek Door Metal Die from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

The flag on this image is actually blank and can be colored any way.  I’m going to be fortunate enough to go to Switzerland this year so I’ve gone for the red and white.  😀  Behind her is the new metal die door at LMMS which can be configured several ways.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you’ll play along with us this challenge!

Fancy Sunbonnet Winter Snowball

This image should look familiar!  At least you should.  LOL  It’s the same image that I used in my last post but with a minor change – instead of her holding a snowball, this time she’s holding a Christmas bauble.  To do this, all you have to do is draw a square and a curved line to create the hook and top part of the bauble.  Faye had accidentally colored her snowball as such and this was how we fixed it.  LOL

The image I used was Fancy Sunbonnet Winter Snowball from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which was stamped and colored in my travel journal.  This time I colored the image with Marvy Le Plume markers.  Most of the colors were easy to blend, surprisingly, but the red took some extra ink to blend from the darkest to the lightest.  And as a result, the red bled through the paper and showed up on the other side.  I’ve painted it with Gesso and will try to cover it up with another image so we’ll see how that works out.

Fancy Sunbonnet Winter Snowball

It’s never too early to start on those Christmas cards and this one was created for the class I taught at Scrapping Goodtime back in July.  The stamp I used is Fancy Sunbonnet Winter Snowball rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I also used the Park Glen Metal Door and Screen Door Refills on this project.  On the door I used a jingle bell looking wreath that was on a pin.  I’m not sure what it was called but it looked perfect for the door so I had to use it.  😀  The pin part was tucked under the image layer but it also helps to keep it in place.

The class was focused on the snowball texture and general blending techniques and there was a great group of gals there to share it with.  Thank you to Scrapping Goodtime and for everyone there!  😀
