Fancy Sunbonnet School

With more and more kids starting school, I thought this would be a good time to share some inspiration using the Fancy Sunbonnet School image available in rubber at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  This is such an adorable image and reminds me a lot of when I was a kid and watching Little House on the Prairie on the tellie.  I loved that show and was so excited to later learn that it was originally a book series!  Squeal!  😀

Here’s a couple links that I’ll share, the first one being the image I used on this project which you can find in the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store.  And the second link is to the LMMS blog and LMMS gallery where you’ll find lots of other inspiration using these images!

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope you’ve been inspired one way or t’other.  Cheers!

Fancy Sunbonnet Beach

I’ve been asked to be a challenge guest at Bastel-Traum Challenges today and they have a fun color challenge up for the week!  The colors you’ll see below but are mainly green, yellow and purple.  I’ve chosen to use Fancy Sunbonnet Beach and go with a summer theme to my card…

I will have to admit that sometimes when creating for a color challenge, I tend to forget some of the colors and this one is no exception.  So instead of purple, I had used teal when I colored!  Oops!  But with the help of Photoshop I was able to correct the main image to showcase for the challenge and all is well.  Where did I get the blue?  No idea but I need to start writing these colors down instead of working from memory.  LOL

The image I used is Fancy Sunbonnet Beach rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and was drawn by Bugaboo.  I love how she’s carrying her beach bucket and ready for a day of fun!

Lucky for me, the rest of the colors I used were matching. The card was put together with odds and ends from my stash and I tried to keep with a nautical/beach feel to it.  Overall, I’m happy with how it turned out and will be pleased to share this with a friend.  😀  Thank you Bastel-Traum for having me as a guest!!

Sunbonnet Strawberry Big

We have new rubber stamps at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today we’re featuring strawberries and sunbonnets!  There are four new Sunbonnet images from Bugaboo now available in deep red rubber – whoo hoo!  And today I have an extra special surprise to share since my daughter also made a card using one of these cute images.  😀  Check out our creations…

This is my project and I’ve used Sunbonnet Strawberry Big rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I thought I’d do something different and bring back some black and white; however, these images are adorable in pinks or reds!!  I’ve already colored the others up but this was the only one I have on a card.  😛  The flowers have been in my stash for a long time but I’ve found that a touch of yellow puff paint brings them back to life!

Below is the card that my daughter, Cassandra, created.  She used Sunbonnet Strawberry Jam to color.  I’ve increased my marker stash and bought a bunch of Marvy La Plume alcohol markers so my kids have gotten excited about them.  We spent this week learning how to color with them and this was her first image she colored.

We colored the same image together and she’s done a wonderful job!  She did a second one right after this and I could tell she was thinking about it.  At the moment I didn’t bother with shading or shapes, so we just worked on choosing colors.  she was really worried about the grass and I had to show her two time before she’d even attempt to try it.  I think it was because the rest of the image was already colored, and like most of us, we don’t want to have to start over again.  LOL

You can find these stamps now in the LMMS Store and lots of more inspiration over in the LMMS Store Blog where the design team has done an incredibly yummy job with these!  My local farmer’s market is filled with watermelons, grapes and cherries but I’m sure they’ll have some strawberries because I have a hankering for homemade strawberry jam! Yummmm!

Sunbonnet Wade Fishing

I’ve been relaxing and resting this week then remembered I had this project and knew it would be perfect to share.  😀  I used Sunbonnet Wade Fishing rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which was drawn by Bugaboo.  The paper I used were some scraps I had on the table that I’ve been trying to use up and I found the metal sheet in with my metal scraps – apparently I had used an embossing folder on it for another project and was smart enough to save the scraps.

Hope everyone is having a great week and thanks for dropping by.  😀

Fancy Sunbonnet Flowers

There’s lots going on this week at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and you’ll want to click HERE to get all the details!  I’ve been so busy getting that side of things ready that I almost forgot to do anything with my blog.  Yikes!  However, here’s a little preview of all the fun that’s going on…

This project uses Fancy Sunbonnet Flowers from LMMS (available in rubber!) and drawn by Bugaboo.  The colors were selected and inspired by the latest Cupcake Inspirations challenge that LMMS is sponsoring this round too, Challenge #220.  That’s all I have time for so make sure you click HERE to get the rest of the details! Toodles!

Fancy Sunbonnet Winter Snowball

Bugaboo is having a week long Christmas in July event and Little Miss Muffet Stamps is supporting them today!  When they invited us for the third Annual Bugaboo Christmas in July Celebration and Blog Hop, we just had to throw some samples into the pot to show our support.  😀

Every day this week, there will be something fabulous going on at Bugaboo with brilliant prizes along the way. Be sure to pick up all the details at Catch the Bug, you wouldn’t want to miss a thing!  You can click there for the start of the hop which will also take you to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog as one of the stops.

For my project I wanted to show off one of the Bugaboo rubber stamps that is available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps… this one is Fancy Sunbonnet Winter Snowball.  She even versatile enough that the snowball can easily be turned into a bauble!  You’ll have to check out Faye’s website to see that.  She has a great story to go along with it.  😀  The sentiment is one that was included in another Fancy Sunbonnet stamp and worked great for this one too.

The rest of the card was simple to put together.  I had a large crossword background stamp that I used on the decorative paper then added some more black and teal accents with the ribbon.  Lastly, the sentiment was stamped in London Fog and a tag was created.

The snow was something I wanted to try and I did a reverse technique of the clouds.  Then added some white from a gel pen to give it a glistening look.  It’s interesting how it turned out and not sure if I like it or not yet.  LOL  Anyway, thanks for dropping by and you can click HERE to start your hop!
