Tress Joyful

It’s another fun challenge at Make it Colourful and I’ve created this project as inspiration.  I’ve used Tress Joyful from Make it Crafty (and available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps in rubber) along with the Happy Tabs Sentiment set (which comes with chipboard accessories as a bonus!)

The EASY challenge is to color shades of Blonde Hair and I used the Copic colors YR23, 31, 30, E53, 51 and E23.  The HARD challenge is to color folds in clothing and Zoe’s new tutorial is perfect to get your started!

Make it Crafty isn’t sitting down on the job for this hop… well, actually maybe we are!  LOL  All these sitting poses it was hard to choose a favorite but I ended up using Chelsea Hugging Legs.  I colored her with purples and blues then placed her on page two of my ATC journal.

These are the Copic colors I used:
Clothes: T3, T1, V05, 06, 09, 12, 28, 99, B91, 93, 95, 97
Hair: T8, 6, 4, 2, 1
Skin: E34, 23, 000, 0000
Eyes: E49, 37, 23
Lips: E04, R02

Lucy’s Broken Dolly

The challenge for Make it Colourful this month is combined with The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge blog which Make it Crafty is also sponsoring.   The part of the challenge I went for is “Something Girly” as well as “Pink and Brown” and the image I colored is Lucy’s Broken Dolly from Make it Crafty.  There are many “Zoe influences” on this card too – the lighter lines (not quite no-lines but getting closer LOL), the hair technique and the yellow glow in the background.  😀

I started a new ATC journal and Lucy is lucky enough to be on the first page!  I also used other fun things on here like the MiC chippie clock.  Then also some things from Faye too – the doily, buttons, and bird – thank you Faye!!  I’m excited to start the new journal so you’ll probably see more from me in the future.  😀

Toxic Teens Mac

Today’s challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges from Simply B Stamps is to create a project with a movie in mind… aka, create a project that represents a movie!  This one is always one of those challenges that I struggle with but once I get started and into the color part I can then (and only then) think of tons of movies that would work!  It’s like watching the movies in my mind as I pay close attention to the details in the images.  LOL

So for this project, it started out as a representation of Footloose… and it never failed, I was able to think of lots of other movies involving break dancing and even running that would fit.  The main secondary one that came to mind was anything to do with the Michael Jackson!

The images I used on this project are Toxic Teens Mac from Simply B Stamps and I combined him with some Urban Elements from Make it Crafty.  In the background I also used the upper part of the Eerie Fence from Make it crafty and colored in the moon.

Make sure you get a chance to steel a moment and visit the SCC Blog for more inspiration and a few movie reviews with their projects.  He he he.  Also, Simply B Stamps is having a sale right now that you don’t want to miss – you can get 12 digi stamps for $25!  Plus I think there are a few more bargains you can look out for.  Happy shopping!

Burtonized Christian Burton Chibi

It’s Release Day and a Blog Hop for the latest release at Simply B Stamps! Today we’re showcasing Burtonized Christian Burton Chibi which is the last character in the Burton Chibis II Series! Make sure to visit the SBS blog for the release details. 😀

You should have arrived her from the talented ALISON!
(But if your lost you can start back at the SBS blog.)

For my project I decided to go full Holloweenish and forget about making this cool dude look all cutsie. LOL I got out my Halloween papers and created a page in my ATC Journal book. I used felt elements, the pumpkin sticker and cloud diecut shape, to give it a little texture then colored Burtonized Christian in brighter colors to create some interest.

The moon is a Martha Stewart label that I colored with E50, E51 and E53 using a picture of the moon in Google as a reference. It looked pretty good but then I decided to cover it up with the cloud so this is all you get to see. LOL Finally I dashed some faux stitching around the edges with a white gel pen and I was finished. 😀

Thanks for stopping by and before you hop on over to the next stop, I wanted to post the winner from yesterday’s guessing challenge. I knew it was going to be hard one with a twist in it and decided to used to pick from all the comments left! So the winner is…

“wow this is just so darn cute…I totally love that fun image…”

Congratulations! My email address is on the sidebar and you can contact me with your free digi choice from Little Miss Muffet Stamps!

Your next stop on the hop is the fantastic BETTY!

Agent Popcorn

It’s another challenge day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and our theme this fortnight is “Simplicity with a charm.” Make sure you check out the DT projects over on the challenge site! Sometimes it’s hard not to put all the embellishments on so this really was a challenge for me. However, in the end, I had to add a couple of embellishments. He he he

However, to distract your eyes from the embellishments and help give it a more simple look, I did use a plain decorative paper! That count’s right?! The charm I used is an owl and was one I was going to save for a reading card, however, I figured the “night owl” was also a good fit.

For my project I used Agent Popcorn from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Comfy Chair from Make it Crafty. The pairing makes for a good movie night. ;D

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Bows and Berries Challenge #13 – clean and simple
Take a Word Challenge – sewing
ATC Challenge #14 – anything goes
Ruby’s Rainbow Challenge #16 – something with wings (owl)
Stampavie and More Challenge #155 – anything goes
