When you get finished, make sure to head back to the InStyle Stamp blog where you can leave comments AND vote for your favorite DT creation! I made this card using the new digital release of Alma from InStyle Stamps. The main image was enlarged for the centerpiece and used again, in it’s entirety, in a smaller size as the “painted picture” accent on the bottom of the easel card.

Did you know? The Lake District, also known as, The Lakes or Lakeland, is a mountainous region in North West England. Despite the name, only one of the lakes in the Lake District actually contains the word “lake” in its name, Bassenthwaite Lake, the rest being either “meres”, “waters”, “tarns” or “reservoirs”.

Ellie

This project is a chocolate bar wrap, however, if it stays on my desk too much longer then it’s going to be an empty wrapper! This is my second attempt to find a pink salmon color – I’m getting closer. I used the digital stamp Ellie from InStyle Stamps which is newly released. Head on over to their blog as they are giving away a free digit when they hit 300 followers. Be sure to leave them a comment letting them know you came from here! (I think I get brownie points!)

Did you know? The movie Cast Away was filmed on Monuriki, a member of the Mamanuca Islands. It is in a subgroup of the Mamanuca archipelago, which is sited off the coast of Viti Levu, Fiji’s largest island. The island became a tourist attraction following the film’s release. Although it is identified by Kelly after Chuck’s return as being “about 600 miles south of the Cook Islands,” there is actually no land between Antarctica and the southern-most Cook Islands of Mangaia.

Did you know? “The Tyger” is a poem by the English poet William Blake and was published as part of his collection “Songs of Experience” in 1794. It is one of Blake’s best known and most analyzed poems. It begins with “Tiger, tiger, burning bright / In the forests of the night, / What immortal hand or eye / Could frame thy fearful symmetry?”.

The challenge for this card was to create a card or project using something with wings. The other challenges are birthday theme and to use any sentiments.

Did you know? The Van Wert Bandstand is a historic gazebo in Van Wert, Ohio, built in 1874. In the 1870s, such structures fulfilled the role of the third place in many communities such as Van Wert: they hosted political rallies, served as community bulletin boards, and became the starting points for citywide parades and musical events.
