Paprika as Raggedy Ann

I’ve got some more images released at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today and the design team has gone all out to create some inspiring samples too!  There are six fun new images and even a boy that you don’t want to miss out on.  😀  For my project I used Paprika as Raggedy Ann

I have a Raggedy Ann doll from my childhood that my Mom had made for me so this has been a long time favorite character for me.  She even stitched a heart on her chest that says “I Love You.”  Isn’t she the best Mom ever?!  I remember I had a book on Raggedy Ann too so I enjoyed using reading elements on my card with the decorative paper.

Thanks coming by and don’t for get to visit the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store for some shopping of your favorites… there’s even an Alice and Swan Princess!  Plus the four from yesterday gives you ten new images to drool over.  LOL

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Sacagawea and Red Cloud

I’ve got some fabulous new releases for you today with Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today we’re featuring four “Legends of the West” images!  Then tomorrow we’ll be back with six more images of various themes – you’re going love them!  Also remember to visit the LMM Blog for the rest of the design team’s inspiration! My first card uses Sacagawea…

On this card I used Ginger as Sacagawea from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Ticket Sentiments and die from Whimsy Stamps.  For the card base, I got out some older paper packs and used up some scraps.  Then I was even able to empty a contain and use the last of my silk ribbon roses – sounds like a good excuse for shopping to me!  LOL

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
Waste Not Wednesday Week #18 – Neglected and forgotten stash

Here’s my second card which uses Parsley as Red Cloudand the same paper.  However, this time I got out the Clouds Trio die from My Favorite Things and also a few corduroy buttons to give a different look and feel.  Parsley is also one of two boys that are now available!!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Beach Time Chris Munster & Water Balloon London

Welcome back to some more Teen Scene Summer Fun with Simply B Stamps!!  Today I have combined two new images, Beach Time Chris Munster and Water Balloon London, to create this sherbet inspired summer card.  Don’t forget to head on over to the SBS Blog for more design team inspiration and I’ll have one more project this week to share for this release too.  😀

One of the sheets of decorative paper I used for this project had the old-fashioned photo prints and I knew I wanted to use those!  It took a little juggling around on the layout but I finally got three of them on there and I think it turned out better than I had originally thought.  I’ve used them again on my final project too – they’re just so fun!  😀

How about a game?  It will be kinda like a Truth or Dare!  What are the top 10 things you want to know about me OR want me to make/create/color?  Leave your answers in the comments and I’ll pick one for tomorrow!  {GRIN}

Beach Time Lola Munster & Lifeguard Christian Addams

It’s more Summer Fun with Beach Time Lola Munster and Lifeguard Christian Addams from Simply Betty Stamps!!  These two are ready to save your drowning sole from where ever you are swimming.  Ok, maybe a little too grim but at least they look great together.  😀  I used two other stamps in the background… Magnolia Clock with Hands and Jenni Bowlin Studios Protractor Clear Stamp.

Don’t forget to drop by the SBS Blog for al the other design team’s inspiration and I bet you can’t wait until this weekend for them to all be releases!  They’ve been fun to color and the paper I got over the weekend has been my own “life saver” in terms of mojo.  LOL  I’ve used the same paper for all the projects in the release and hope they don’t all look too much alike.  Anyway, hope you like this one and have a great day!

Sweat Thinkin’ Mae

Good morning peeps!  I have a fun project that I made just for fun – actually the theme is just for fun but I made the card for CHA samples for Kristy at SOG – but I still call that “just for fun.”  Would you?  He he he  Anyway, for this card I used Sweat Thinkin’ Mae from Some Odd Girl.  Since she was a stamps I got to use the good ‘ol paper and take my time coloring.

This was one of those times that I wasn’t sure exactly what I was making so I just started grabbing things here and there.  The large green center is left over from some decorative paper that I had previously used in the week and couldn’t figure out how to get it onto my other project.  So my card actually started with that piece.  😀  Then herbs and spices just screams of texture so I grabbed the cork sheets that sit next to my cutting machine.  After that it was a matter of finding things that worked well and I finished it off with Mae and the coordinating sentiment.

I’ve been experimenting adding shadows with E04 to the skin area and I think I’m finally getting a hang of it where I feel comfortable not blending in the shadow.  For the longest time it was hard to resit, but now I rather like the hard edge to the shadow and didn’t know how I cooped without it.  LOL  You should give it a try and I pratically works with any skin tone you pick.  Right after you get finished coloring the skin, grab the E04 and draw in a thin line for the shadows – then leave it.  😀  Most of my sun sources are from the upper left corner so I like to hve the shadow appear on the lower right of the object.

I’m also experimenting with the image sizes since Blogger no longer resizes them with out making them blury.  So what do you think… too large? I think so – might have to resize the other ones that I have already uploaded. Anyway, thats about it for this morning – thanks for coming by and check back later today for something new.  😀

Mice are Nice

Looks like I have another winner to announce!!  Thank you to everyone who participate in the blog candy last week and you can check out the winner HERE.  But for the MiC blog hop we have another winner!  😀  I used random.org to grab a winner from my comments and that lucky gal is…

NAT said “Your colouring is fantastic, something to aspire to!”

Congratulations Nat!  You’ve won an image of your choice from the Make it Crafty Under the Sea collection!  😀  Also, everyone will want to make sure you go through the hop again and see the other winners too – we each had a prize along the way to give!  You can get the blog hop list from my original post HERE or jump to the MiC Blog to see grand prize winners.  Good luck!

The project I have today shows another pre-colored image from Lili of the Valley and has a wonderful pink theme to it.  😀  Who doesn’t like chocolate?  Well, I say that a little on the sarcastic side because it so happens there area couple members in my greater family that doesn’t.  Just impossible to imagine – yet they do.  Anyway, this is a chocolate card that everyone can enjoy…

Thanks for coming by to visit and I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start!  I have school finals this week so wish me luck.  😀
