La Petite Princesse

Today we have a sketch challenge for you at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  I’ve taken the sketch and used the basic outline to position my elements on my card so the doily counts for the circle part and the ribbon is the horizontal part.  Of course, there are other ways to interpret the sketch and that’s what we want to see from you!  Here’s my project…

The image I used on this project is La Petite Princesse from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the English translation is “The Little Princess.”  This was one of the images that I created for the combined Make it Crafty and Whimsy Stamps release over a year ago and is still one of my favorites.

The chipboard embellishment is from Make it Crafty and I used self-adhesive pearls to define the body.  The rest of it I left untouched as I rather like the unfinished look – especially the top part where the edges are slightly darker from the cutting process.

This is a digital stamp and can be found in the LMMS Store and to see more inspiration for this sketch challenge you’ll need to visit the LMMS Challenge Blog – the design team has done a fantastic job!

Retro Chester

If you’re a Chester fan you’ll want to make sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store this week and pick up Cool Chester at a discount and then check out all the other Chester images that will fall into your basket.  ;D  He’s such a fun loving monkey and great for boy cards too!

This image is Retro Chester and if you don’t know what that things is behind him, you might want to ask your parents.  LOL  But for the rest of us… we’ll have to grab out our old mix tapes and give them a listen for memory lane sakes. The odd thing now days, is I see the large ear phones are coming back in style.  It’s true!!  I guess the little ear buds aren’t as obvious of a “do not disturb” me message as these would be.  For me, however, I find the ear buds to be quite uncomfortable and so I’m glad I don’t stand out as an oldie for wearing the earphones.  😀

If you haven’t noticed this little snake on there, then you’ll want to take a second look.  This is an object lesson for my kids on “what happens when you leave your lego toys around the house!”  I know, I’ll always be picking up the little bricks as I step on them, but sometimes, such as this little snake, they find their way on to something other than the toy table!  LOL

Have you used Wobbles yet?  This card does and that’s why the above image is blurry to show the “wobble” action.  Music… wobble… jammin’ … yep, it all goes together!   You can see other cards I’ve created using the Wobble springs too by clicking HERE.  I’ve created a Label them!  😀

Cool Chester

Ready for another Super Saturday over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps?  There is a freebie over to check out and I’m going to show off the spotlighted image which is on sale this week.  This is Cool Chester rubber stamp comes with the sunglasses accessory and was such a fun card to color.  The ice cream cone, especially can be of any flavor… yum!

This rubber stamp is Cool Chester drawn by Pollycraft and available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  It comes in a set of two with the sunglasses which I’ve stamped twice to add as an embellishment.  I wanted to make a boy card so I went with a bold red and a subtle blue mixed in with a little yellow.  I had a little bit of trouble with the browns I was coloring with but maybe I can pass it off as a fur texture?!  LOL

Make sure to visit the LMMS Store Blog for other inspiration using this image as well as projects that use the freebie for today.  Then you can find both of them in the LMMS Store!  Ciao!

Swings ‘n Slides Little Sprout

Opsidaisies!  I just scheduled the wrong post for today – not that this post was on time, so I wasn’t worried about that.  No worries, that’s life and for those who saw what wasn’t suppose to be posted, you got a little sneak peek at an upcoming challenge.  (o.0)  Lucky you!  SO what was suppose to be posted?  That would be this card and one of the New Releases at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today!  There are four new summer digis that are now available and you can see inspiration for them all at the LMMS blog.

The image I used is Swings ‘n Slides Little Sprout drawn by Pollycraft and available in digital form in the Little Miss Muffet Store.  I honestly couldn’t decide which of the four images I wanted to color but when I stumbled across a small flower punch, I knew I wanted to pick this one.

All the other accessories and papers were grabbed at random – it’s amazing what you can find when you reorganize your stash!  Now the task will be to *remember* where all the new spots.  LOL

Halloween House

Is it too early to work on Halloween projects?  No! That’s the wonderful thing about the crafting world is the holidays can last all year long and you can create in any season you want.  😀  After all, in order go stock up on holiday cards, I have to work on them throughout the year, so why not Halloween projects too?!  He he he

This is a project I created using the Haunted House stamp from Make it Crafty which comes in digital and in rubber form.  I wanted to keep the card simple so I enlarged the image as big as possible then spend my time working on the details of the image.  The tombstones where colored with Copic Warm Gray colors then YG91 and YG93 were used to add moss to the stones.  The tried my hand at metals too so you’ll see some silver (done with Copic Cool grays) and tarnished copper (done with E90’s and a touch of E07, E15 and E13 for the aged areas.)

Every time I color a house, I’m always tempted to “leave all the lights on” and color all the windows in a yellow glow.  This is because I remember my Mom likes the Thomas Kincaid paintings and he always has the lights on.  She says it’s so cozy and inviting.  😀  So do you think it worked for this house?

Make it Crafty Images:

Sonny Honeycloud For You

Little Miss Muffet Stamps is still continuing on with the Super Saturday event where we introduce the freebie for the day and the spotlighted image for the week!  The spotlighted image is Angel Wings and is on sale this week so be sure to pick up this versatile rubber stamp!  It’s great for all types of projects on their own or combined with other images, such as I have done here…

The images I’ve used on my project today are Angel Wings and Sonny Honeycloud For You, both are rubber stamps from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I stamped them in London Fog grey and cut them out and placed them on my card with pop up foam dots.  The girl has two layers of foam dots so she sticks out a little more than the wings for a slightly 3D effect.

These wings have been fun to use and I think they’re the right size to use on many of the characters.  And the girl is an all around stamp that can be used for all occasions – even for a pick-me-up card.  😀  These two stamps plus the freebie for today can be found in the LMMS Store and more inspiration can be found over at the LMMS Store Blog!
