This is a card that appeared to me in a dream and I had to jump out of bed to sketch it out. The next day, I was happy that my sketch was legible enough to follow and I made this card using Spring Short Stack by Stampendous.

Year of the Dog
Happy New Year! I’ve created some bookmarks to give away this year in my red envelopes and this is the first one I made. I was going for a off-set print look where the black and red ink are offset if they were printed by a press. It’s something I’m experimenting with and I think this one turned out just so-so. But it’ll make a great bookmark. 😀
I’ve used Sister Stamp’s Year of the Dog stamp and drew the two lanterns on sketch paper. The Good Luck sentiment is Make it Crafty chipboard embellishment.
Claudia’s Kitty
It’s Customer Appreciation Day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps where you’ll find lots of inspiration and also three new images released in the store. Plus there is a coupon code for 20% OFF orders from now until Sunday evening (Central Texas time).
For my project, I’ve pulled a rubber stamp from my stash and used Claudia’s Kitty from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. For the background around the image, I used a Make it Crafty chipboard embellishment frame.
Heart Throb Kit
I’ve splurged with another kit from Queen & Company and bought their Heart Throb Kit. I was disappointed the kit didn’t come with the acrylic words any more but I was surprised at how well the papers work together. I also think the hearts were easier to create with than the ornaments. But all in all, they were both fun kits to work with.
Here’s another card I created with the Heart Throb Kit from Queen & Company. I got the card layout and idea from Mary Ann Maldonado on the Queen DT. Thanks for the inspiration!
From Me to You
Happy Heart Day! For my project today, I used the rubber stamp From Me to You from Whimsy Stamps. I finally found the right image and use for the background paper with the paper airplanes. It’s been sitting on my desk for a while but just hasn’t quite fit into anything. I like how it turned out with this image because of the way her hair is drawn it looks like there is a slight breeze to the scene.
Here are the Copic markers I used on From Me to You:
Birthday Memories – Party Animals
I’ve used the Birthday Memories designer series papers from Stampin’ Up! to create this project and followed an idea I got from the cake and banner in the SU promotional display. I also used some Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments for the sentiment and a couple gems for sparkle. This is one of my favorite cards from the series because I love all the animals on there.
