Sweet Devilina

Welcome!!  It’s my day to post at the Make it Crafty Store Blog! I can’t believe how fast the rest of this year is speeding by and it feels like it should be past Christmas already.  Yikes… I haven’t even had time to truly enjoy Halloween yet.  So for this post I thought I’d share a little spooky inspiration using SweetDevilina .  I won’t even mention how long ago I colored this one (nope, my lips are sealed!) but I wanted to attempt coloring this image in red to give her a more demonic devil look.

Who knows, maybe this will be Hellboy’s new girlfriend!!  he he he.  I wish I had the colors of reds I used but it was probably a combination of R20s with a bit if R40s or R50s to help.  It turned out much brighter butHellboy would be pleased.  😀  Since her skin was so red, I chose greens and browns to tone them down a little and hopefully give her a more earthly tone rather than a Valentines theme.  The black was a goodneutral to help as well and I used two different tones for her hair and her boots.

Although I’m not sure if I like her in a light skin tone or this darker red.  Either way, she was a fun image to color and I didn’t mind coloring her twice… maybe a third time next year!  I hope to get this one made into a card soon so you’ll have to hold me to it!!  A couple nudges here and there would be good.  LOL  Hope you like her!

That’s all for today and I hope you can be brave enough to try it out on your next project!  :D

Firefoot

I thought I’ve put up one last project before posting a lucky winner for the NEWS Badge.  This project was simple to put together and I had fun coloring the image, which is Firefoot from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Simply Sophia.  I love the three birds that are playing with the horse and it really sets up a great mini scene.  😀

I’ve been spending the week at High School this past week for intern hours and it was very interesting.  I had forgotten how much I had forgotten!!  LOL  So I kept getting distracted by the topics because this time around, I actually wanted to learn.  The classes I went to to observe had so many fun things that I wanted to raise my own hand and ask the teacher follow-up questions.  I’m sure I got more out of it than the HS students.  He he he

Undine

gAre you ready for another poject from Little Miss Muffet Stamps?  I can’t believe how far this year has gone past already and I’m reminded of it with this fortnight’s theme… “Halloween Colors!”  I’m still a little busy with school so you get to see a project I made during the summer using a shabby chic style which counts toward the “Anything Goes” category when you use a LMMS image.  😀  How cool is that – we just love to see you’re projects!

This project features Undine from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which was inspired by my schooling with the “I love you” sign.  And she’s tip-toeing around in a pink skirt reminiscent of my little girls – give them a fancy skirt and it’s like magic!

This was actually a card I had made for my Mom and tried ot use all the things she loves on a card especially the lace and little trinkests scatter around.  She’s one special lady and I wanted that to show through my project.  😀  She loved it!  (Of course, like any Mom, she loves everything I make.  He he he)  But I love it too.  Anyway, make sure you head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog and see all the wonderful Halloween inspired projects – you’re going to love what they made!!

Boon & Jitters

Here’s a image I had colored a while ago and finally got it to a card this weekend.  The color scheme of the unicorns was inspired by my little jaunt to the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center where I saw a Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra with it’s beautiful brown stripes around it’s muzzle and carried the idea into these two unicorns.

This image is Boon & Jitters from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Simply Sophia.  I also used the new Party Banner die also from Little MIss Muffet Stamps and used just a couple of the hearts that also get punched with the banner.

I love this release of horses, unicorns and Pegasus which were so fun to color.  There are so many ways and color combinations – at times I was tempted to give them a butt tatoo too.  LOL   Anyway, I just wanted to post something real quick and share this latest project.  Hope everyone’s week is off to a good start!

Bandit Boy Tom at Halloween

Good morning (or evening)!  I’m excited to say that it’s a New Release day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I have put up six new images especially for Halloween plus a great Party Banner Diecut which is perfect for any occasion!!  These are items you don’t want to miss out on.  😀  And the good news is that I was able to make a card!  We got out of class 30 minutes early so I decided to take advantage of my time.  😀

The image is Bandit Boy Tom at Halloween from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and in the background I used the new Party Banner Diecut, also from Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  I used both layers plus the stars to decorate them and I couldn’t resit using my new spider punch to add a few spooky details.

The card layout is pretty simple but I found these googly eyes that are self sticking and I love them!  LOL  So this is just two of the new items and don’t forget to head on over to the LMM Challenge Blog to see all the great projects created by the DT – they’re awesome!!
