Pixie Dust Fairy

The challenge this week at Lollipop Crafts is themed Christmas which is to create a card or project with a winter theme. I made this card using Pixie Dust Fairy from Meljen’s Designs and Mushroom #2 from Limited Runs. This fairy is flying around sprinkling the first winter’s snow!

Other challenge themes for this card is “Winter means…” (freezing cold days and frosty windshields), Snow or Snowflakes, “Let it Snow”, Winter Wood Land (woodsy Christmas scenes) and Sparkle & Shine (glitter on wings and sparkly snow).

Did you know? Millipedes’ primary defense mechanism is to curl into a tight coil protecting their delicate legs inside an armored body exterior. Many species also emit poisonous liquid secretions or hydrogen cyanide gas through microscopic pores as a secondary defense. Animals such as Capuchin monkeys have been observed intentionally irritating millipedes in order to rub the chemicals on themselves to repel mosquitoes.

Update: I was selected as a top 5 at Meljen’s Designs for this challenge!
