Le Parfum des Roses

I’m excited to share that I’ve been asked by my friend Tracy to guest at Copic Marker Europe today!! I’ve created this fun project to share and hope it brings you some inspiration for your next project. I used to pick out my decorative papers first but now I’m the other way around so sometimes it’s impossible to find a perfect coordination but in this case I think the odds were in my favor. Check it out…

The images I used is from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and is called Le Parfum des Roses which means “The Smell of Roses.” This is actually one of my first images to make it into rubber stamp form so it’s exciting to use! The two background stamps are from Whimsy’s Vintage Travel Postage Stamps set. Thank you to Jen (JLJ Designs) for the hat pins which coordinated perfectly with it project! And finally the chippies I used are Swirly Corners from Make it Crafty.

I supose since this is for Copic inspirational blog I should list some colors!! I think I used G40, G21 and G82 for the greens, plus a little BG93 and BG96 on the leaves; No-N8 for the blacks and whites; the reds are R14, R17, R27, R46 and R59; skin tones are E000, E00, E21, E53 and R11, R12 for blush; eyes are B91 and B95; and lastly the hair, which I *think* YR23, YR24 and E55.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

La Jeune Fille à l’Eventail

It’s finally here!! The day the winners are announced for the mini Paris Blog Hop at Little Miss Muffet Challenges AND the winners of the Paris “Love” Challenge at ThreeCompaniesTeamUp blog!! Check out both places and see if you’re a winner! Plus the latest issue of the Whimsy Magazine has come out featuring even more Paris inspired projects – check out Issue 7, pages 46-60!

For my project I used elements from all three companies… La Jeune Fille à l’Eventail from Little Miss Muffet Stamps (which means “The Girl with a Fan” in case you were wondering), Vintage Travel Postage Stamps from Whimsy, and Love Heart Swirls chipboard accessents from Make it Crafty.

I colored his French girl for the rubber stamp packaging which was done a while ago so putting together the card went by fast. It’s nice when that happens sometimes! Nothing extra special about the card layout except I was able to use a new Netabilities die I got last week and I was even good to use a few old flowers I’ve had laying around. So that would be something new, something old… now I’d just need something borrowed! LOL

Hope you’ve enjoyed all the Paris inspired festivities and have a Happy Leap Year day!! After all, it only comes around once in a blue moon… I mean once in four years! He he he

Hatter Hats

Welcome to another inspirational day with Little Miss Muffet Stamps!! First, I just have to say that the design team is knocking this release out of the part and you don’t want to miss out on what they’ve created today – check them out on the LMMS Challenge blog. 😀

For my project I used Elisabeth Louise’s hatter from the Hatter Hat rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I thought those cute little hats would be perfect for tags or even to scatter them around your projects for added color! I also used the LOVE sentiment from Whimsy that came in one of their ticket stamps which had a goof vintage fell to it.

The charm was found at the local hobby store and it was only by chance that I happened up on! They didn’t have very many in stock, but between the two of us, my Mom and I got them all. The black filigree is a chippie from Make it Crafty then painted with acrylic paints.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Emily Rose Hatter

We have a fantastic challenge for you over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges and this time our theme is “Fancy or Lacy!” I know we all love to dress up our projects with lace and lots of embellishments – at least for me, it’s hard not to! So to celebrate this compulsive habit, I’ve decided to make a challenge of it – so the fancier or the lacier the better!! 😀

For my project I used Emily Rose Hatter from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and placed her in front of Ivy Window Wall the from Make it Crafty. Then I used the coordinating chippies and diecuts to create the sentiment (N3 Swirl Frame chippie from Make it Crafty and N3 Notables Die from Whimsy). I had to chop the frame a little and move around a couple swirls to get it to fit in the corner but it’s still just as fancy and elegant. 😀 The sentiment is also from Whimsy and is from Birthday Letter Seals.

The fancy part comes from the wide lace ribbon and all the pearls scattered around the card. Plus I was able to use two of my pearl brads from Whiff of Joy at the top corner…. and of course, the frame/sentiment helps. The papers are new and something I picked up at the scrapbook store the other day – I’ve noticed that yellow is coming back into season! So many to choose from and they’re all perfect for spring.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ve enjoyed my card. Don’t miss out visiting the Little Miss Muffet Challenges for more inspiration and also the current Paris Blog Hop – which only goes until Sunday to be eligible for the prizes!

Have you heard the big news? Whimsy, Make it Crafty and Little Miss Muffet Stamps have come together to give you a little romance in Paris this Valentine season! You can join the festivities and read all about it on the ThreeCompaniesTeamUp blog. But wait… have you heard the really big news?! Little Miss Muffet Stamps has now released images in RUBBER! That’s right – so pop on over HERE to get your rubber fix. 😀

My project uses several images from this release to create this scene. From Little Miss Muffet Stamps, I have used Julia, Taylor, Agent Éclair Dropping and Naw the Gargoyle. Then from Make it Crafty I used a bridge scene that Zoe put together using Paris Elements and Eiffel Tower, plus a whole bunch of chippies, N3 Rustic Frame, Flower Leaf Swirls and Swirly Corners.

The sentiment stamp is Élégance Élémentaire frm Stampin’ Up! and translated would be “Happy Birthday.” I used Whimsy’s cordinating Shapeology Die, Notables 3, which coordinates with the chippie so nicely! The rest of the journal page is deocrated with oddds and ends from my stash – pearls, rhinestones and various ribbons.

Evelyn

Howdy! We have a gorgeous inspirational post for you over at the Little Miss Muffet Challenges blog with LOTS of projects to drool over!! So be sure to head on over there and check out what the design team has to show off today. ;D We’re have such fun with the Joint Release that we had to play some more – and here’s my project to share…

I used elements from all three companies and if you’re just joining in on the action make sure you head over to the Three Companies Team Up blog for the release details plus a challenge! On my project I used Evelyn from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, Paris Elements from Make it Crafty and I Heart You Tabs 2 from Whimsy. I also used the coordinating Tabs 2 die and N2 Fancy Frame chippie!

For Evelyn‘s dress color I was trying to go for a gold color and ended up using YR23, Y26, Y21, Y23 and YR30. It worked out better than I thought so I also colored her two sisters, Irene and Florence, in the same colors. After all, gold and art deco somehow just seem to go together, don’t they?

The building was colored following Zoe’s example in the store, Fancy Balcony. I put the computer up close to my coloring desk and tried to match the colors as best as possible – I loved how her’s turned out so I was aiming for the same feel. 😀 I think what really makes this scene shine is the blue glass door/window and the added greenery – to me it really says “Paris!”
