Snail Mail

This guy is Snail Mail rubber stamp by Little Miss Muffet Stamps. The sentiment is from the Merry & Bright Ornament Kit from Queen and Company.  The background is Candy Canes and Lights from Whimsy Stamps. The snowflakes are Chipboard Embellishments from Make it Crafty.

This guy was slow going and was very appropriately sitting on my work desk for over a week. He really is snail mail!  LOL

These are the Copic markers I used:
B52, 00, 0000
R59, 37, 08, 05, 12
BG18, 49, 13, 11
VB23, 20, T4, 6, 9, C2, 3
G99, YG63, 61, 67
E41, 43, 44

Easy Mini Albums

A new linking challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today – hop on over and link up one of your projects from today in the Anything Goes Challenge!

My project uses the Easy Mini Albums booklet to create this envelope gift. This is the outside which features a pocket on the side for a personal note. The image I used is From Me To You by Whimsy.

When it opens from the back, this is what it looks like… and another envelope to follow.  On the bottom panel I used the Party Banner metal die from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the words are chipboard embellishments from Make it Crafty that have been painted black then covered with Sparkles glitter gel.

Looking at the center part of this panel, the nested envelope part, I’ve used Polka Dot Pals Tanzen rubber stamp with the Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces. The cupcake are Cupcakes ‘n Books from Little Miss Muffet Stamps as well.

This last envelop reveals the inside.  In the center, I also used the Party Banner metal die plus the Needle and Thread from DoveArt Studios.  The sentiment is more chipboard embellishments from Make it Crafty.

When I cut around the needle, I cut off the thread part instead of fussy cutting around it.  Then I actually threaded the needle with Baker’s twine and glued it artistically to the background.  I thought that added a fun element.  I suppose I should have added a shadows with the marker as well so I’ll go back and do that before I give it away. 😀

On the bottom panel, I also used the Cupcakes ‘n Books stamp to replace one of the strawberries in the wagon. The girl is Sunbonnet Strawberry Wagon and I had stamped two wagons to create a train instead of one.  Now this project is nearly complete – I just need to write a letter to tuck into the front then I’m done.  Yay!

To Serve and Protect

Come join the Sharing Handmade Kindness Challenge and show support for your law enforcement officers.  LMMS joined Whimsy Stamps for the month of September to give thanks to our local police by sending them some cards.  This is my first card and I merged the hat from To Serve and Protect with Real Heroes United Sentiment. Colored with colored pencils.

I had actually made this card twice.  After my first project was finished, that’s when I was told HEROES was misspelled.  Arg!  But this gave me a chance to one-up the original design and I printed the sentiment on the decorative paper rather than having it on plain white.  I like it better.  Yep.

Mystic Unicorn

Do you ever have one of those projects that just doesn’t come out right?  This is definitely one of those projects for me.  I usually color the image after I have selected the paper.  When I do, the project turns out better and when I don’t, well, it looks like this.  I guess there isn’t anything horribly warning but the colors work for me.  Maybe that’s just me.

I colored this Mystic Unicorn, by Whimsy, a while ago.  In fact, I colored two at the same time, one black and one white, because I couldn’t figure out which I wanted to use on my journal page.  (You can see the other Mystic Unicorn HERE.)  You can spend more time looking at that one, in my opinion, and just pass this one by.  Move along . . . nothing to see!

Hazel

Some projects just take longer than others and this one is one of those.  I started this long before Halloween but decided I needed to finished it even though Halloween was over. I have another project that I started for Thanksgiving too but it will be late as well.  LOL  Anyway, this is Hazel from Wee Stamps in rubber from Whimsy Stamps and also available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I went with a light gray color to stamp her in then used greens and blacks to color her.  For a splash of color I used the orange as a backdrop.  Finally I did some doodles as a border and made it into a card.   Hope you like her even though she’s a tad out of season… buy hay… I guess witches need to live through the seasons too.  ;D
