For my project I’ve used Miyako from Sister Stamps. This is also some of the origami paper I found on my shopping spree this month. When this stamp arrived in the mail, even though it was past Valentines, I still wanted to make something. I added red enamel dots to some of the flowers on the background.

Mei Li
Here’s another bookmark I made and this one uses Mei Li from Sister Stamps. I used an envelope I found an Daiso while on a recent shopping spree. The sentiment is a cupcake stencil for “Laugh” and the dragonflies are Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments.
Buddies
Here’s another bookmark I’ve made for the New Year. This uses Buddies from Sister Stamps and I added details with a white gel pen to the clothes. I stamped the frog twice so I could add a little more green in contrast to the red.
The Prosperity sentiment is from Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments. The Prosperity logograph is from a cupcake templates set that seemed to be the perfect size for stenciling. The ink wasn’t drying on the smooth paper I selected so I embossed it too.

Year of the Dog
Happy New Year! I’ve created some bookmarks to give away this year in my red envelopes and this is the first one I made. I was going for a off-set print look where the black and red ink are offset if they were printed by a press. It’s something I’m experimenting with and I think this one turned out just so-so. But it’ll make a great bookmark. 😀
I’ve used Sister Stamp’s Year of the Dog stamp and drew the two lanterns on sketch paper. The Good Luck sentiment is Make it Crafty chipboard embellishment.
Ai with Taiko Drum
I found some origami paper of Mount Fuji at Daiso and thought it would be fun to use. So I came home and made a bookmark with Ai with Taiko Drum by Sister Stamps. I actually liked how it turned out so this might be the one I keep this year.
Graduate
Here’s yet another bookmark that we’ve stuffed into a red envelope for someone in the family. Even though they are all similar, I’ve tried to make them a little different. This one uses Graduate from Sister Stamps. While coloring this one, my daughter learned about the graduation ceremonies and why someone is given a lei, or several of them. She says she wants to move to Hawaii now when she graduates but I promised her this is something we can do even in Texas. She excited about the prospect of receiving so many that it covers her face. LOL
