Rock Star Lilly

Welcome back to another Simply B Stamp preview in the Jude and the Rockers Just for Fun series.  Today we have a fun image… Rock Star Lilly… and I can just image her done in all sorts of wild colors!

For my project I used Nana’s Kitchen paper from DCWV and contrasted it with stars cut out of kraft paper.  Then I used some of that metal sequence ribbon stuff for some shine and contrasted it with some denim fabric to frame the image.  My daughter’s pants had huge holes in the knees and it was time to makes some shorts so waste not want not.  LOL

I had fun coloring Lilly with green hair and bright clothes.  Can you just imagine her rockinng out?  Be sure to visit the SBS Blog for more inspiration and wild colors for this chick and thank you for dropping by.  Tomorrow we’ll have a release blog hop with prizes too so you don’t want to miss out on that.  😀

Yee Haw Ali & Giddy Up Oscar

Are you ready for some more Jude and the Rockers Just for Fun from Simply B Stampss?!  Well, today I have two for you that I’ve combined on a journal page – they were just perfect together and I’ve been excited to start a new journal book all week!

For my project I used Yee Haw Ali and combined her with Giddy Up Oscar from Simply B Stamps. In the background I used Garden Picket Fence from Make it Crafty which I colored in black and white to give a contrast between the foreground and background.  Then I loaded it up with embellishments and what nots… yeah!

Let’s see here, the main paper is Nana’s Kitchen from DCWV but I don’t remember where the Bingo paper is from.  I also used the Tim Holtz clock die and a printed clock face from stash.  The best part, however, is the ribbon which I found in the dollar section at my local scrapbook store – it looks just perfect for a western theme, don’t you think?

Here’s a close up of Yee Haw Ali blowing bubbles…

And a close up of Giddy Up Oscar too…

Thanks fro dropping by and I hope you’ve been enjoying this release as much as I have.  Don’t forget to check out the SBS Blog for more inspiration and thanks for dropping by.  😀

I’d like to enter this into the following challeges:
Inky Impressions Challenge – Anything Goes

Doctor Brittany

Welcome back to another preview for Simply B Stamps where we’re showing off the Jude and the Rockers Just for Fun new release images!  This is one of my favorite themes from SBS since they remind me of my own little munchkins running around the house.

Today we’re showing off Doctor Brittany and I always love her curly hair style!  She often looks like a red head to me so I reached for my favorite red-head color combination: E59, E09, E08 and YR14.  Isn’t she darling as a doctor?!  😀  My project also uses Electric Love from Some Odd Girl.

The paper I used is Nana’s Kitchen from DCWV and I managed to use the last of it for these projects this week.  I think that lasted me over a year so it feels goot have it gone!  Then I added some flowers, gems and a little bit of doodling to finish offf the project.

Just so you know, if there is ever a color combination that you want to know about then if you leave a comment within the first day or two of posting then I can probably remember and will reply with another comment. Thanks for coming by and for all your lovely comments.  😀

Chef Ariel

It’s going to be an exciting week this week with new releases galore!  I’m starting off the week a bit behind and somehow lost one of my days in the weekend – shame on it!  And I was so looking forward to having a full weekend too.  LOL  Anyway, let’s get the previews started, shall we?!

Today at Simply B Stamps we’re previewing Chef Ariel from a new line of Jude and the Rockers Just for Fun.  These Jude and the Rockers are some of my favorites and I can’t wait to show them all off to you!  Make sure you head on over to the SBS Blog for all the other design team samples because this is one versatile girl – she can make cakes for birthdays, babies, weddings and anniversaries.  😀

I’ve been needing more birthday cards again so this week I am excited to say I’ve added a few to my box.  For my project I went with a birthday theme and even added a spinner to my card.  😀  The spinner is from Stampin’ Up and I think the spinner dials are from Tim Holts.  Lastly I wrapped it up with Baker’s Twine and added a little faux stitching around image.  Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed her!

Betty Skellington

I wasn’t going to do a post today (Gasp, shock!) because I couldn’t think of anything to say. I just got back my test score from a unit test I had taken last week and it wasn’t looking so good. 😦 I got a 150/200 which is a solid dull C. Terrible, I know! But numbers and fingerspelling were my weak points and believe it or not, those are the only things I missed – too bad my teacher couldn’t boost my grade any more for getting the other stuff right.

Anyway, let’s get away from the boring stuff and talk about this card! It was originally going to be for the SBS Challenge last week but that was nixed due to the DT Call they are having. So this is a little Halloween inspiration to wet your taste buds and you can click HERE to read all about the DT Call!

The image I used is Betty Skellington from Simply B Stamps and I wanted to go for a spilled coffee look. If I had any coffee around I might have used the real thing but I settled on the E40s range of the Copic markers, plus the blender marker, and this is what I came up with.

I had colored the stains first with E40, E41, E42 and E44 first then used the blender marker to create a few negative spots. After I was satisfied with that, I went back in and colored the image while trying to ignore the stains. LOL But don’t worry, it wasn’t all that hard as I decided any mistakes would look like more coffee stains. He he he

Betty Bolts and Baxter

I wanted to share a Spunky Spooks card I had made for the new releases two weeks ago but save it until today. I have so many posts to put up that I’m always tempted to do three or four every day – what do you think? That would be busy! He he he Anyway, here’s the last card in that Halloween gift set…

The image I used is Betty Bolts and Baxter from Simply B Stamps. The card details are the same as the ones before and it follows the same layout too. The pumpkin and caution stickers are Halloween Border Stickers from K&Company that I’ve cut up. Oh, and the ghost too is also from a border sticker.

Thanks for dropping by even if it was for an out of season project. LOL But just a heads up, Simply B Stamps is having a DT Call for the Challenge blog! Click HERE to check out all the details on the new blog Simply Challenged Challenges!
