For my project I used the Burton Chibi Lydia from Simply B Stamps and reversed her so they could be looking at each other. I was going to do an elaborate mirror and flip door but I couldn’t wrap my brain around the mechanics so had to settle for this. Both girls use the same blacks and purples for their clothes and the face colors are the same too except I added blush to the sweet side.

Diver Judy
We have an Olympic release at Simply B Stamps this week and today we’re featuring Diver Judy! There are all sorts of sports going on over at the SBS Blog this week so be sure you visit as you don’t want to miss out on the action! But if you can’t wait to get these fun characters then head on over to the store and grab them all now. 😀
I thought this would be a fun image to pair up with some of my Tim Holts metal sentiments and this one I picked worked really well. This one says … “Encourage your hopes not your fears.” So you can think about that as you’re thinking about “diving” into your next adventure. *Hugs
London Pumpkin
Today marks the beginning of a new challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges and today we’re challenging you to create “Hidden Passages!” This was an easy one for me with my new diecut door and throwing on the Halloween theme was something I hadn’t tried yet. 😀 Here’s what I came up with…
For this project I used the Halloween Emo London Pumpkin from Simply B Stamps and paired her up with some Halloween stickers and paper I had in my stash. Then the door is the Park Glen Door diecut from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I used the mesh to create the screen door this time.
The cut the door so it would go through all layers of the card (cut them individually then layered them, of course) and so my hidden passage is looking to the inside of the card. For the inside I used the corner of some 12×12 paper I had with these cute characters on them. So as a result, I *had* to decorate the inside of the door too. 😀
Thanks for dropping by and be sure to head on over to the SCC Blog to see all the other great projects! There are lots of hidden passages that you don’t want to miss out on. 😀
Miss Rio Little Shop of Horrors
We have another challenge over at Simply Challenged Challenges today and it’s an easy one and one of my favorites… “Anything Goes!” That’s right, just use a Simply B Stamp and create anything you want. 😀 Be sure to visit the SCC Blog for more inspiration and to enter your project. For my project, I made a little bookmark using Miss Rio Little Shop of Horrors.
I was originally going to use Halloween paper for this but I had a couple or scraps on my desk left over from My Mind’s Eye Mabel paper pad and thought the orange was a perfect color! So instead of going all out for Halloween, I was just going for a hint and included the turquoise paper in there anyway. Then I threw in some of the brown which was part of the original color scheme of the Mabel paper and to help it blend I brushed the edges of the decorative paper with brown ink.
Do you see the princess crown behind her? I just thought it would be fun to included it – not sure if it really matches but overall it add a whimsical feel that I like. LOL Anyway, that’s my bookmark and hope you enjoyed it. I’m heading out for the weekend but I’ve prescheduled some posts to pop up while I’m away. 😀
Toxic Teens Mac
Today’s challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges from Simply B Stamps is to create a project with a movie in mind… aka, create a project that represents a movie! This one is always one of those challenges that I struggle with but once I get started and into the color part I can then (and only then) think of tons of movies that would work! It’s like watching the movies in my mind as I pay close attention to the details in the images. LOL
So for this project, it started out as a representation of Footloose… and it never failed, I was able to think of lots of other movies involving break dancing and even running that would fit. The main secondary one that came to mind was anything to do with the Michael Jackson!
The images I used on this project are Toxic Teens Mac from Simply B Stamps and I combined him with some Urban Elements from Make it Crafty. In the background I also used the upper part of the Eerie Fence from Make it crafty and colored in the moon.
Make sure you get a chance to steel a moment and visit the SCC Blog for more inspiration and a few movie reviews with their projects. He he he. Also, Simply B Stamps is having a sale right now that you don’t want to miss – you can get 12 digi stamps for $25! Plus I think there are a few more bargains you can look out for. Happy shopping!
Valentine Betty
Simply B Stamps is taking a little twist and turn with the design team and I’m now doing challenges!! We’ll have challenges once a week featuring new and old Simply B Stamps and I’m excited to bring you today’s challenge…. “Your Inner Betty!” The task is to create a project that reminds us of my we love Simply B Stamps! So here’s my project…
For my project I used Valentine Betty and enlarged her to fill up more of the panel. What I like about Simply B Stamps is the versatility and the fact it often reminds me to try new things and expand my comfort zone a little more. In addition there’s always a stamp that fits my various moods. LOL
The card I made with my nestiabilities dies and used three different shapes then went around the edges with some ink to give them more definition. It turned out better than I thought! Hope you’ve enjoyed it and be sure to head on over to the Simply Challenged Challenges Blog for more inspiration!
