Little Lavinia

I seem to be playing catch up this week but at least I’ve got something to do. LOL This project is for the Simply B Stamps Challenge #3 and the theme is to “Celebrate!” We want to see your celebration projects – any celebration too: Birthday, baby shower, wedding, Holiday.. anything goes just pick a celebration! And you have oodles of time but no procrastinating is allowed. 😀

I’ve used Little Lavinia from Simply B Stamps as the main focus. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin’ Up! as are the ribbons, papers and decorative papers too. The little hat is one of the Hatter Hats from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which I had on my desk and thought it looked great with the clock. Lastly, the dragonfly chippies are from Make it Crafty.

I didn’t know it but the ribbon can be curled with a pair of scissors, just like the packaging ribbon! I got the idea off of a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator site but I can’t find the link now – it’s just a neat idea that I had to try it out. 😀

Hope you’ve enjoyed this bit of inspiration and thanks for stopping by! *Hugs

Burtonized Christian Burton Chibi

It’s Release Day and a Blog Hop for the latest release at Simply B Stamps! Today we’re showcasing Burtonized Christian Burton Chibi which is the last character in the Burton Chibis II Series! Make sure to visit the SBS blog for the release details. 😀

You should have arrived her from the talented ALISON!
(But if your lost you can start back at the SBS blog.)

For my project I decided to go full Holloweenish and forget about making this cool dude look all cutsie. LOL I got out my Halloween papers and created a page in my ATC Journal book. I used felt elements, the pumpkin sticker and cloud diecut shape, to give it a little texture then colored Burtonized Christian in brighter colors to create some interest.

The moon is a Martha Stewart label that I colored with E50, E51 and E53 using a picture of the moon in Google as a reference. It looked pretty good but then I decided to cover it up with the cloud so this is all you get to see. LOL Finally I dashed some faux stitching around the edges with a white gel pen and I was finished. 😀

Thanks for stopping by and before you hop on over to the next stop, I wanted to post the winner from yesterday’s guessing challenge. I knew it was going to be hard one with a twist in it and decided to used Random.org to pick from all the comments left! So the winner is…

Annette
“wow this is just so darn cute…I totally love that fun image…”

Congratulations! My email address is on the sidebar and you can contact me with your free digi choice from Little Miss Muffet Stamps!

Your next stop on the hop is the fantastic BETTY!

Rio Burton Chibi

Welcome back to another Simply B Stamp preview of a Burton Chibi!! For those keeping an eye out on all of them this week, I posted a guessing challenge with the last post to see who could figure out the next Burton Chibi… and the answer is… Rio!! He he he… I know, I know… totally not a fare challenge! LOL However, for those that took a guess, I’ll draw a random winner and post it with my last SBS preview project tomorrow so don’t forget to come back. 😀

This sweet image is Rio Burton Chibi and she is the newest character on the block at Simply B Stamps. She’s my favorite from this release and didn’t even need any “work” to make her adorable! The HUG ticket is something I ordered from Oriental Trading Company and seemed to be perfect on this project. I’m sure my daughter won’t miss one. LOL

I went all out on this card and even used a new layout instead of the standard quick-to that I always use. I also added some seweing theme chippies and I suppose I missed out on the pearls this time around but I’ll manage. 😀

I had used one of my Tim Holtz metal plaque accents at the top right and it’s so hard to choose a which number to use. The package comes with the numbers 14, 25, 31, 15, 17, 82, 46, 57 and 63; and up to this point I wasn’t sure how they coorilated with anything. Anyone know where these numbers come from? I figure 14, 25, 31 and 17 coorilate with popular calendar holidays; but what about the rest? Well for now… I’m just randomly grabbing a number and hoping it fits. Perhaps this one is good for a sweet 15 birthday, Quinceañera.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ve enjoyed this project! *Hugs

Lydia Burton Chibi

Are you ready for some more Tim Burton goodness? The next Burton Chibi we have to show is Lydia and if you’ve already been to the SBS Blog then you’ve already seen the fabulous inspiration from the other design team and know that this is one versatile gal. 😀 There’s no work necessary to convert her… as you can see, she also make a perfect birthday card!

The image is Lydia Burton Chibi from Simply B Stamps which will be released tomorrow! The card was cut from the book looking Spellbinder’s label. The left side was folded and placed just inside the diecut so it could be a card. I used white paper and cut the other smaller shape for the inside to look like a book.

The rest of the card was put together with odds and ends from the table… you know, all those things that I’m too lazy to put oaway or find homes for?! Yep, those! I’ve had the party hat stickers on my desk since before Christmas if you can believe that. LOL

If you like this image just wait until the next one! I’m so excited and you’ll NEVER guess which Tim Burton character it’s going to be! LOL In fact, if you can then I’ll offer a random winner a free digi from Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Just leave your comment below and you have until 8:00 pm Central US Time today to add your guesses. 😀 I’ll post the winner on Friday with the SBS Blog Hop. Good luck!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenge:

Beetlejuice Burton Chibi

It’s Beetlejuice!! SBS style that is – but today he’s here as your friendly Realtor! Oh, I know, bright and colorful and oh’ so scary … just like a real Realtor. LOL I once had a boss that had thick hair and bushy eyebrows such as these and when he smilied he was just as creepy. He was missing the piano key teeth, however, but if there was a rainbow suit in his wardrobe I’m sure he’d wear it. (Oozing slime comes to mind.)

The image is Beetlejuice Burton Chibi from Simply B Stamps which is being released this week! This is only the third image of six that we have to show off with a blog hop at the end (Friday) that you don’t want to miss out on. 😀 Come on over to the SBS Blog for more inspiration and to cheer on our guest for today too!

The screen door idea from a challenge blog I recently visited, Card Crafte’r Circle, and went out the next day to buy some screen material. I found some at good’ol Walmart for a cheap price, of course, and now I have enough to make screen doors for the rest of my life! But most of it will probably stay hidden in the closet with some other bulk material. 😀

So if you’re still with me this week in my quest to brighten these Tim Burton digis then you’ll have to tell me how I did on this one. I’m starting to think, once you’ve been Tim Burton-ized, there is no going back!! Muah ha ha ha.

Mrs. Lovett Burton Chibi

Welcome to the second day of previews from Simply B Stamps! Yesterday we had Todd Sweeney so naturally today we’re showing you Mrs. Lovett… and yes, I tried to work my little magic and turned her frown upside down. LOL I’d have to admit that Mr. Todd didn’t make the cutest clown but how did I do on this one?

The image is Mrs. Lovett Burton Chibis from Simply B Stamps. I’ve used a tag die from Stampin’ Up and the clouds die from My Favorite Things to create this festive tag. The fun bright colors help with the mirage and give it a most cheerful look, I think.

Here’s a close up – for this image I covered the questionable parts … her hand now holds a cherry instead of an ear, and the try has three sweet treats instead of the traditional Sweeney minced pies in cupcake style. 😀 Both were drawn on the side then cut out and pasted on top of the main image.

Head on over to the SBS Blog for more inspiration AND details on the current digis that are available this week – you don’t want to miss either of them!
