Clover Butterfly Wishes

Come join Little Miss Muffet Stamps on FaceBook where we have a special color challenge!  The theme is to use bold and bright papers for your project since that’s one of my troublesome areas.  I’ve been doing much better about using the primary colors in the images, however, those “loud” papers still cause anxieties.  LOL  So pick out your favorite LMMS and show us what you can do with “Bold & Bright” papers!

This is my project using Clover Butterfly Wishes from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  I’ve also used the Royal Decree sentiment stamp, also from LMMS, and thought it worked well with the faerie theme.

The papers I used have been in my stash for a long time and I always skip over them.  The patterns are wild and busy so when I combine them together they’re even louder and chaotic.  However, this was the challenge for me so I tried to calm it down with some solid colors … but not too much, otherwise that would be too easy!  Even my camera was having problems that day!  (Ha, actually that’s my lighting but it’s fun to blame it on the colors.  he he he)  So how do you think I did?  I’m certainly going to try it again… but after I calm down a bit.  ;D

Claudia’s Butterflies

Little Miss Muffet Stamps is sponsoring the Forever Friends Blog Challenge today and I wanted to join in on the fun!  The challenge is to use lots of flowers and you can check out all the details HERE.  But before you leave, check out what I made for inspiration…

My project uses Claudia’s Butterflies from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, drawn by Pollycraft, and also the sentiment from Make it Crafty called Just Wanted to Say Sentiment.  I colored Claudia by first dotting the darker brown and worked my way up to the lighter colors using dots.  With so many dots, by time I get to the lightest color everything before that tends to blend in and creates this fuzzy texture in the coloring.  For this bear, I used my Copic marker range E40 through E49.

For coloring, since Claudia was going to be done in browns I wanted to do something different with the wood log.  So I tried to color a birch type tree.  I remember these from my hometown area and would love to go back there someday to see them again.  They’re such a unique tree compared to the forestry around me now.

So whether you project has lots of flowers on the image or added to your card, or both, you can head on over to the Forever Friends Challenge Blog and show it off!  Plus you’ll have a chance to win some LMMS digital stamps!  😀  Thanks for dropping by and I hope you had a wonderful weekend -cheers.  😀

S&S Ice Cream

Food, Glorious, Food!!”  That is our challenge theme at Little Miss Muffet Stamps for the next fortnight (2 weeks).  At first I was baffled at what image I should use but then soon realized there are LOTS of stamps with food in them!!  I was able to choose anything from lemonade, cupcakes, ice cream, bubblegum, lollipops, apples, carrots, eggs, hotdogs, cooking batter, marshmallows and the list goes on and on… no trouble picking anymore!  Plus with the recent Tea Party Release the options have multiplied exponentially and the combinations are endless… I could have added cookies, sandwiches, crackers, tarts and many other things. Ok, ok… so what did I pick?   Ice Cream!!

The image on this project is Swings ‘n Slides Ice Cream from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and was drawn by Pollycraft.  I thought she was perfect for the warm spring months that I’m experiencing and ice cream is my favorite.  😀

I tried to make the card look inviting and summerie without it looking hot and miserable!  LOL  To do this I stayed away from the warm colors (yellow, orange, red) as much as possible.  However, I always enjoy using complimentary colors so that’s why I used a little orange and pink.
Thanks for coming by today and be sure to head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out all the other fabulous creations!

Lil’ Bunny and Puppy Additions

Happy Easter!  It’s Easter Sunday and I wanted to share a project that is just perfect for today!  Plus I have some great news about a new image available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps that you don’t want to miss out on – it has been posted today at a fantastic low price of $1.00 and you can take advantage of that special all day!  However, before we get to those details, here’s the card I wanted to share today…

This project uses Swings ‘n Slides Lil’ Bunny, drawn by Pollycraft, and also Puppy Additions, both from Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  I thought they looked adorable together and wanted to create a simple card for then to shine on.  I’ve always had a soft spot for pink gingham patterns and when I found this paper in my stash I had to use it!  So with that, combined with dark chocolate brown, became the inspiration for the colors on this card.

With adorable pink paper like that, I didn’t want to cover it up so I kept the embellishments to a minimum with chipboard from Make it Crafty, twine and a little charm.  I was actually going to make this card with just the little girl but something felt missing… and that’s when I decided to add the little puppy which was just what the card needed.  Now these two friends are ready to head out in the backyard and look for hidden eggs.  😀

I also have a little Easter surprise and another fun image to play around with!  This is the image I mentioned above which will be at the special price today of $1.00 so scoop this one up while you can.  Just in time for Easter this cute image is called Easter Bunny Hiding and is also perfect to use in the current LMM Challenge.  😀

You can click on the image above to find the Easter bunny in the store or you can click HERE to read about the details of the release on the LMM Challenge Blog.  Thanks for coming by today and I hope you’re having a wonderful Easter day filled with coloring, family and chocolate!  Happy Easter!!

Celeste Amberglow Farmin’ Apples

Welcome back for a little inspiration today using a Little Miss Muffet Stamp.  We have such a huge release next week that we’re taking a relaxing break today and showing off anything we want.  😀  So be sure to check out the LMMS Challenge Blog for all the other fabulous creations and mark us down in your calendars for next week, April 4th, as it’s going to be huge!!

For my project today, I’ve used Celeste Amberglow Farmin’ Apples from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  She is such an adorable chickie and I couldn’t resit the farm paper pack I found in my stash.  Most of my papers in that stash are 6×6 pads and include anything from K&Company, My Mind’s Eye, Crate Paper, Echo Park Paper, Jillybean Soup, BasicGrey, Cosmo Cricket and the list goes on… I’m not picky and just grab anything that appeals to me.  He he he

The chipboard embellishments from Make it Crafty were colored with Prismacolor Pencils to match the paper and also to help the butterflies stand out against the busy paper.  I simply grabbed reds, oranges and yellows and blended them together until it wouldn’t take any more!  Here’s a close up of Celeste Amberglow with her lovely green apples… an nope, it’s not poisonous (that would be red and her evil counterpart).

Thanks for dropping by today and I hoe you’ve enjoyed this project.  It’s been a busy week but I’m looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend – I just need to get through this day and then school will be out for the weekend (my kids included).  Yeah!  I’m soooo looking forward to a 3-day weekend!!  Have a wonderful time coloring and hope you’re weekend is approaching soon too!

Celeste Amberglow Egg Hunt

‘Tis the season for Easter projects and I couldn’t resist suing this image today for the new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  The challenge theme is “Happy Easter” and that always reminds me of bright neon spring colors.  So I found the closest paper I had to that and pulled colors from that.  Here’s what I came up with…

The images I used are Celeste Amberglow Egg Hunt from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Pollycraft.  The sentiment is a Kid’s Quote from Inkadinkadoo and I thought it was a perfect Easter theme… especially with a basket full of chocolate eggs!   😀  The friend, of course, is the little chick.  I also used some chippies from Make it Crafty scattered Dew Drops for more color.

Here’s a close up of Celeste Amberglow Egg Hunt.  For the white, I’ve started to use C3 and just draw and shadow on the edges with no blending.  It’s been working out really well on some projects and I like it here too – however, I blended a little bit on the band part.  The colors of her face is a new combination too… I’ve used E000, E00, E21, E30, E31; blush R11, R12; and for shadow BV23.

Thanks for coming by the blog today!  I hope you get a chance to head over to the LMM Challenge blog and see all the other fabulous designs created by the DT – they’re awesome!  Then grab your favorite Easter stamps and come play along in the challenge this week – and bonus points if it’s a Little Miss Muffet or Pollycraft image!  😀
