This card features Polka Dot Pals Brianna as the main focal point. She can hold lots of stuff in her hands and this time she is holding a stack of presents (which was a freebie offered to Whimsy Stamps Weekend Retreat participants last week) and on top of that is her stack of baked goodies that is included in the clear set.

The girl and mouse were cut and pasted on the card base. The stack of presents were popped up with a layer of foam dots. Then the top layer of goodies was added with an action wobble. You can see that in action with the picture below. Thanks to Emma Lynn for the brilliant idea! She used that for one of the weekend retreat projects.

For this project, I used the accessory stamps from Polka Dot Pals Brianna and created this yummy holiday card. I added sparkles and holiday embellishments – plus a scratch and sniff sticker that smells like apple pies. Yum! I thought the little mouse would be fun to use as I thought it would tell a fun story of how this little mouse created some holiday goodies for someone special. All that is needed is a cherry on top.

For this project, the card layout was inspired by Céline’s latest card that uses Polka Dot Pals Colton. I thought it would be perfect to reverse the colors and make it look like a large art canvas. So I selected the step ladder and started to stamp my painting supplies around it. I created masking sheets for that which I’ll save for future projects.

As an after through I decided I would use the Bold ABC Die set to add a sentiment. I didn’t want it to stand out so I used some of the extra rainbow paper and stacked it over four layers of white letters to raise it up. I took care to position in the top layer so I was cutting roughly the same color as spot it will be resting. I think it worked out. 😉

There were lots of options with the Polka Dot Pals sentiments and I wanted to use some of the “magnificent” rainbow paper so I went simple with this one. There’s that oops – even though I didn’t color I can see I already made a mistake on the first word – next time I’ll do “Sharp” or the complete word “Splendidly” further down.

For this project, I’ve used the new releases today and combined Polka Dot Pals Colton with accessories from Polka Dot Pals Beau. I’ve been gathering paint samples for a while and I’m glad I could put one to good use. Read below for more details on the dibs plus how this card was created using these featured products:

For this card, I stamped the images in a light color for some no-lines coloring. I stamped the character, face and paint brush from Polka Dot Pals Colton then added the paint cans and sign from Polka Dot Pals Beau. Since the images were stamped in a light color, I didn’t bother to mask anything. After coloring, I fussy cut then popped it onto the card front – which, was super easy to make. This is a Glidden brand paint chip and spans the entire slimline card. On the top, I used the Honeycomb Drips Stencil with blue Tsukineko Memento ink and called it good.
