Polka Dot Pals Winona

I’ve created a wee project using Polka Dot Pals Winona rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I am also previewing one of the new Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces with this gal.  I have new sizes to work with and hope these will be the ones.

There’s a new challenge opening up today so be sure to head on over to link up an Anything Goes project.  Plus there are four new stamps released today that are adorable, if I might say, and you can find those in the LMMS New Release section.

Polka Dot Pals Sally

Here’s a fun project that’s been in the making for quiet some time.  Two years ago near Valentines I found a Hallmark card that was absolutely perfect.  It was one of the motion and sound cards and when it was opened, there was a hamster bouncing on a hip-hop ball.  I had to buy it just so I could use it with Polka Dot Pals Sally… also on her hip-hop ball.

There’s loads of pictures in this post plus a little video at the end too.  Lot’s of eye-candy!  The sentiment was created using Chipboard Embellishments from Make it Crafty, colored with a black Copic marker and then some Sparkles glitter glue was added on top.

Polka Dot Pals Sally was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Copic markers.  The hair, clothes, and polka dots are with the pencils then I did the skin and ball with the markers.  I did this mainly because I wasn’t near my pencils but also because I wanted a soft looking skin.

The card opens from the left and just the grass part opens so the image can be seen when open or closed. The Hallmark card was cut apart and I kept the components together.  I then took two layers of cardboard and cut a center hole just large enough for the innards.  Here’s what it looks like after I wrapped black cardstock around the back and over the edges.

I also salvaged the pink bouncing marks from the Hallmark card and used them on the inside of the card.  Here’s what the card looks like when it’s open.

Are you ready for the video?  This is just five seconds on Polka Dot Pals Sally bouncing on her ball with mad-giggle sounds. It’s actually really funny to listen to and a lovely surprise when it’s opened.  Bounce!

Polka Dot Pals Tanzen

There’s a new release today at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and one of them includes a rubber stamp – Polka Dot Pals Tanzen!  I’ve also used one of the new Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces which will be released in full later this summer.  I also used the cupcakes from Cupcakes ‘n Books for some details on the side.

Update: The Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces are now available in the shop.

For my project, I’ve followed the instructions from the Easy Mini Albums craft book by Annie’s which includes 16 pages of great inspiration and diagrams.  This is the larger envelope one and I’m currently customizing the flaps.  The “OPEN” sentiment was created using the Cutters Mini Alpha and Numbers die.

Here you can see a sneak of one of the inside outer panels which I’ve used Party Banner Metal Die and Make it Crafty Alphabet Chipboard for the wording.

Polka Dot Pals Tanzen is one of my favorites and is so fun to color with the wild hair.  This face is one I’ve been curious to see how it changes after coloring.  With it uncolored, it looks like an angry expression but that completely changes with the color.  I love it!

Hope you enjoy this little bit of inspiration.
Here are the Copic colors I used on this panel:
E25, 47, 49
W8, T2, 4, 5, 6, 7

Polka Dot Pals Amelia

There are new digital stamps at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today and two of them are additions to the Mermaid Warriors crew. Plus the third stamp is a tribute to all the teens graduating from school this month with an official “Polka Dot Pals Dab!”  LOL

I’ve created a card with the latest Polka Dot Pals Amelia rubber stamp and added on one of the new Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces.  These faces will be released later this summer so this is a preview of one of the expressions.

Update: The Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces are now available in the shop.

I pulled out the red, white and blue paper pack by Pebbles called Americana. The rest of the items were taken from the stash from here and there.

The Copic colors I used are:

R12, 14, 29, 46, 59
0, T2
BG11, 13, 32

Polka Dot Pals Ida

I love how this one turned out.  This is Polka Dot Pals Ida rubber stamp and I have stamped on a Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces.  This is one of the new faces that will be available this summer so it’s a sneak peek.

Update: The Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces are now available in the shop.

Here’s a close up of this darling face.  With her big grin, I was tempted to add braces but I ran out of time.  That’s certainly something I’ll do next time!

For those at Jennifer’s Advanced Copic Boot Camp have the benefit to try out the new Add-on Faces stamp and also to try out Creative Color Placement and color a face of their own.  I know sometimes taking that step towards a fully colored face can be intimidating and these faces are great stepping stone to get there.  Plus with all the different sizes and shapes, you can see the endless possibilities for character.

The sentiment is a chipboard from Make it Crafty and there is always a variety to choose from.

The paper I used was We R Memory Keepers Anthology 6×6 paper.
I used the following Copic colors:
BV25, 23
E29, 27, 25, 23, 21
R05, 02, 00
T4, 2, 0, W10
BG57, 11, 10
E34, 31, 00, 000, R11
YG17, 25, 23, 21, Y08
I’d like to include this in the following challenges:

Polka Dot Pals Jennifer

I had a lot of fun with this image.  I was inspired by Jennifer Dove and the pictures she posted at her last boot camp in her plaid skirt and pig tales.  She was so cute and so I decided to make her into a Polka Dot Pals rubber stamp.  Meet Polka Dot Pals Jennifer from Little Miss Muffet Stamps – complete with two sayings “Get ‘er done” and “… or you’ll get the boot.”

I am also excited to announce that Jennifer will be using this in her Advanced Copic Retreat. You can practice coloring patterns on the skirt and shirt – but best of all, you can practice coloring faces like I did on this one.  Adding a face to the Polka Dot Pals is my favorite part in coloring them.  But there are also Add-on Faces to help guide you too.

For the color scheme on this one, I went with a rainbo – starting with red hair, then working down the clothes to her shiny red boots with orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

My card, and several others from the design team, are posted on the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog where you can also share one of your cards.  Head on over and link up your favorite from this week!
