Everything is awesome when you’re part of the team. He he he Here’s another Polka Dot Pals Fern project and this one was colored on Bright Creations alcohol Ink Art Paper. I thought I was getting a lot of choices to use with my markers but turns out that there are alcohol ink paper that isn’t for blending – and this is one of them. This type of paper works great for alcohol techniques such as the background on this card. But for blending – not so much. All the ink stays on top of the paper so you can push it around and create fun patterns. And now I know. 😉
It’s an awesome day to have a good day! This little gal is sitting out in the front yard with her sweet little ducky friend daydreaming together. This is Polka Dot Pals Fern and I colored this one Bee Paper Artist Marker paper. This was also one that I colored Live on Facebook so I hope you were able to catch that. If not, stay tuned and follow my stuff to be notified of future Live sessions and inspiration. I love how this card came together and I think it makes for a perfect Everyday-I-Love-You-So-Much-You-Mean-The-Most-To-Me card. Yeah, one of those cards.
I don’t have anything today from the new releases but you can head on over to Whimsy Stamps to see all the goodies. Today, instead, I have a project using Polka Dot Pals Fern which was colored on Neenah Desert Storm paper. I love this look of coloring on a craft-type paper but still being able to use my markers and this is the perfect mix. It has the blending capabilities of Neenah paper plus the cardboard look of craft paper. Personally, I think you need to have both this paper and Polka Dot Pals Fern in your collection. 😀
Here’s another Polka Dot Pals Fern that I colored in a Live Facebook video. For this gal, I used US Art Supply Manga/Marker paper and had a very difficult time blending and coloring on it. The ink stays on the surface, gets dry and then tacky which means there really wasn’t a lot of blending possible. However, it’s not quite impossible. Once I settled in for no blending at all, then I was able to apply the colors in a way that looked ok.
On this card is Polka Dot Pals Fern featuring one of the faces from the Polka Dot Pals Faces set. This face is one of those wonky faces that usually works best on a boy stamp but sometimes are also fun on girl stamps too – as in this case. I decided I was going to use the squirrels from Polka Dot Pals Zachary and then give her the most scrunched up face that I could. Did it work? This was one of the images I colored Live on Facebook.
Welcome back to another post featuring Polka Dot Pals Fern and Polka Dot Pals Faces. This was one of the images I colored Live on Facebook and I’m here to show off the final result. I created the card using a bunch of different dies but also the Party Animal Balloons to bring the color out from the center. Those balloons really love to party!!
